Unfortunately - we do not have parking on site, however, we have a local car park within a 5 minute walk from the property.
This is the NCP on Osborne Street – https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/colchester-osborne-street/
There is also parking on Magdalen Street – however, this is not guaranteed and is on road car parking, opposite the Tesco Express.

Although I've just moved in, I'm extremely happy I chose to stay at Host. It has all the amenities nearby, and even though it's a almost 40 min bus ride to uni, it's really worth it as I get to experience being in town in 5-10 min and have bus connections to university. The accommodation itself is modern and well kept, and the social spaces are incredibly nice, one for social events and the other a quiet study room.

Super accessible as it's within walking distance to the town centre. The room is especially big and clean! The en-suite makes it a very convenient accommodation that gives you equal parts privacy and options for communal gatherings

I have stayed at Host Student Apartments for a little over a month and it has been fantastic. The spacious, clean room with a full kitchen exceeded my expectations for the price. The staff available creates a welcoming atmosphere, however what caught my attention are the excellent amenities provided such as free Wi-Fi, common areas for relaxation and gaming, library as well a prime location just at the town center to enhance living experience. Overall, it provides a comfortable, well-managed living space that truly feels like home.

I've stayed in many different student accommodations in the UK, and by far, I can say this one is the BEST. The management team are very kind and able to solve any potential problem. The room design and the quality of the furniture are quite nice. It's a very central location for Colchester. Moving here has made my life much easier. It's not a problem at all living off campus here since it's easily accessible by buses.

Although it’s located a bit far from the campus, it’s close to town and the train station which is important considering that all amenities in Colchester is located in town. You can go to the campus by taking a bus right in front of the building anyway. The staff is amazing, always helpful. The size of the rooms are okay for one (if you’re a couple, they also have studio rooms too), and the rooms are furnished modern. The best part is: it’s right next to Aldi (the perfect supermarket for student budget!). Highly recommended for those who are looking for a safe, modern building close to town.

The facilities at 27 Magdalen Street are great. The common room has various activities such as a pool table, darts, football table, and a Playstation, making it a hub for socialising and relaxation. Additionally, the study room offers 24/7 access, providing an environment for focused studying away from the living quarters.... Speaking of living quarters, the ensuite rooms provide both comfort and privacy (with a lovely large window for sights), while the communal living room with a TV enhances the overall homely ambiance. The staff are brilliant! I cant fault Emma, Hayleigh, and Sara! Emma and Hayleigh have that special personal touch and will remember your name or flat number, making parcel collections easy! Sara is such a hard-worker and keeps the place in nick order of cleanliness and maintenance. Also, the student wardens are very friendly and are such a great help in the evenings or weekends when there's a lockout or minor fault!

Do not not stay here. The staff anc company could not care less about you as a student and will only take your money regardless of the circumstances. I was unable to cancel my contract even before my move in day and was forced to pay for my accommodation in FULL during the lockdowns despite never being able to move in or step foot in the building.
