Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very warm atmosphere making your feel right at home and helping you with any issues or problems that may arise.
Good value for money with amazing staff who go the extra mile to help you out. They host special events that bring the residents together for some fun. There is a local shop, chip shop, and kebab house 5 minutes walk from the housing and a tesco superstore 20 minutes away. The walk to campus takes about 25 minutes and is an easy journey but slightly uphill so certain people may struggle.

This is my second year at beyond the box student accommodation, I cannot recommend it enough, everyone is always helpful and actually willing to help, it is amazingly priced as it’s very close to the university as well there are shops around like tesco, all this within a 10 minute walk from the accommodation. The wifi is one of the fastest i have ever used, ideal for movie streaming as well as gaming. There is also some activities to do like pool or table tennis. It’s worth mentioning the amazing range of rooms and even studio flats to choose from. One of my biggest concerns was the fact that my course starts in October so I do not get my maintenance lona till that, but ones again staff is super helpful and understanding and can help you sort everything meaning it’s all stress free. Also any maintenance to report is super easy and any work needs to be doing is carried out in a timely manner. I really cannot recommend it en
I had a pleasant stay at this accommodation. The staff was polite and nice, and the place was clean and quiet. Overall, a peaceful and calm experience. Highly recommended!
Fantastic accomodation with great facilities and lovely staff who are more than happy to answer any questions and solve any issues you may have. The location is also perfect, being within walking distance from the main university campus as well as big food shops. And if you dont walk, there is a great public transport network. I highly reccomend this accomodation as it has everything you may wan!!

Avon way is the worst accommodation in Colchester. The staff here are extremely unhelpful and they literally do not care if there is within your flat. Save your money and choose to live elsewhere they do not include bills with your rent . They have unnecessary long contracts that can not be reduced PLEASE DO NOT SYAY HERE. My mental health has been affected by them and they do not care.I received no apologies even from the scalding I received from the BOILING hot water that comes out of ALL our taps They are complete scammers and prey on vulnerable students who are low on finance
Just checked in for my first year at Avon Way after spending a year in the towers, the Beyond the Box staff have been great and really made me welcome and the process simple, let's hope the rest of the year goes as smoothly
