It’s my 2nd year at Currus and has been a great experience. I moved here after spending my 1st year on campus and the difference is clear. It’s located by all the necessities, the staff are attentive and the spaces are clean, along with a nice social environment.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. Especially Lara, who is always there to assist and help, while also getting to know you and talk to you about general conversation. She is such a delight and makes me feel really welcome, calm, supported, and makes me enjoy staying here x. The staff are the best.
I’ve resided at Currus Court for 2 years and have had a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly, approachable and always ready to help. There is security and CCTV on site to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. On site maintenance is quick and efficient. The management team organises multiple social events through out the year encouraging interaction and collaboration with students residing in Currus, Palamon and Rhodaus Court. As an international student, this is a lovely way to make friends and meet new people. As a student I have access to all the activity spaces on site such as the gym which is open 24/7 in Palamon and Rhodaus court and study spaces which can also be booked privately if I’m working with a group. Fun social spaces that can be booked are the party rooms and the cinema room. Currus court has a wonderful accessible roof terrace where students can relax, chill and enjoy the breathtaking view.
Love it here, thought it was expensive but definitely worth the money!! Staff are lovely!! As are my flat mates
A very convenient place to live, in town the building host a lot of events so it gets you out your room and there’s also a gym that’s bice

I lived here in my second and first year and I quite liked it. Management is very nice and can resolve issues quickly. Good amount of storage and nice bathrooms compared to other accommodations, also a nice sized kitchen.
Moved in September 2023, my first time living off campus and has been a generally good experience.
Currus Court is hands down the best accommodation I have stayed in throughout my university experience. I am so sad this is my final year as I absolutely would have stayed on for longer. The staff are incredible, especially Bea and Lara - they're amazing and so welcoming and supportive. Would 100% recommend for any student looking for accommodation. It is in a prime location for students, with a bus stop right outside and the city centre is a few minutes walk. They always host events and parties and get everyone together so you never feel lonely as there is always something going on. The rooms are lovely and spacious and any issues you have are fixed promptly - the maintenance guys are amazing and can fix literally anything. The kitchens are well equipped with everything you need and they are spacious with loads of cupboards. All in all an amazing experience and would highly recommend. This is the best accommodation I've stayed at university. 10/10.
Currus court is a great place to live at a student! it combines your privacy and comfort with a lively atmosphere! As an international student, convince, security and management are really important and i think Currus Court excels in all aspects! The staff, especially Lara, are kind and accommodating! If you are a student in canterbury I would definitely look for a room here!!
Absolutely loved living at Currus, the staff are always helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, really close to everything I need including train stations, bus station, town centre, everything! I love that we get free gym access and there are multiple places to go and socialise aswell. Definitely the best place I’ve lived since coming to uni.
Great experience, smooth process and very helpful staff!
Had an amazing viewing at the new CRM Canterbury building last week. Looks brilliant! Currently living in neighbouring building Rhodaus Court, all the staff are lovely and will help you with anything you need. WiFi is the same as Currus, no accommodation has WiFi as good as your home broadband, but it is the best I've experienced so far :)
