As long as you get on with your flat mates it’s great! In my flat kitchen is 8 people and we all share kitchen. Have ensuites. There is a common room at the bottom for the whole building with a TV and sofas. Location is amazing. Only issue we have is with mould, pretty sure maintenance just paint over it. A cleaner does the communal areas and changes the bins 3 times a week. If an issue is raised with maintenance they will fix it, but it may take a week…

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay here. Extortionate monthly rent which isn’t worth it at all. The WiFi connection is terrible, it always disconnects and has to “undergo maintenance” every few weeks which leaves the building without WiFi for ages. The rooms are tiny, the carpets are all stained, most of the bathroom/kitchen isn’t cleaned before you first move in and is only cleaned after you complain. The sink and mirror is tiny and the water is either freezing or boiling, no inbetween. Beds are old and creak every time you move the slightest. Location is great and there’s a mini fridge in the room but other than that, there are absolutely no positives to staying here.
Just don't. Nothing works here. Toilet doesn't flush properly, we have only 1 dryer and 1 washing machine for ALL students here. Tiniest sinks only have either freezing cold water or boiling water with a tiny mirror. Internet keeps disconnecting when you try to watch a video. Room carpet is full of stains. Shower was full of fungi when I moved in. 1 Oven for 8 people. 2 Fridges that were full of hair when we moved in. Don't even wanna mention that you can hear everyone moving about on their beds as they are ancient and squeak when you move. You can hear everyone on the stairs (No elevator) and the common room is just 2 couches. Please don't waste money on this house.
I don’t live in hall
Anastasia house is the best, with big beds and a mini fridge
Way too expensive for such a small box room with no space
Simply ok!!good flat mates and maintenance
Great location and RAs, bit pricey for what you get, no communal areas except flats kitchens, can be very isolating if you don't have good flat mates
Disgusting
Good location, and cleaning staff come once a week which is good.
Cons?
Mould.. everywhere.. They wouldn't sort it out! Also without hot water and heating for 2 months in winter. Damp besides the wall of my bed, thus making my bed and the duvet wet. Ants kept coming into the downstairs bathroom too!
