The staff have always been very welcoming and supportive at every need. Helped when issues need resolving. Hollie has been exceptional since joining the IQ team and helping out with making me feel at home and welcome. Since the den has been refurbished it is a lot more communal and a nicer place to sit. The only down sides are the intimitant wifi and the frequent fire alarms.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

towards the end of my living experience, i came across a flatmate breaking glass at my door all because i did not take the trash out. i informed one of the IQ staff about this, however, he did not even look into it and completely ignored it. towards my last few days, i felt extremely unsafe in the comfort of my own home and nothing was even done about this. while IQ was good for me throughout the first 6 months i stayed there, this one instance completely ruined my experience as well as my faith in the staff.
I've booked for one year and again for next, it's nice layout, good storage, kitchens are nice things usually get fixed pretty fast. The receptionist Laura is lovely and really helpful too! :)
The accommodation is okay. I meant new people and got talking. Maintenance is okay. Freindly reception
I had one of the renovated flats, paint was chipping and falling from the ceiling, I arrived and the flat was filthy, maintenance team was never on top of anything would take weeks for something to be fixed. Do not stay here ever
I hated my time at Little Aspley. Mainly due to one resident in my flat. I think that the fact that there are no on site staff here could be greatly improved, all staff were at the other building (Aspley house) at the other end of the street. Several complaints were made about the smoking of cannabis by this resident in my flat from other flats in the block as well as other members of our own flat... nothing at all was done about the situation other than some letters requesting she didn’t smoke in the flat. Flat inspections more often I think would have deterred this as the more often the staff were present the less likely she would have smoked on site due to the lingering smell after smoking often. Also we were supposed to have a cleaning service which we did not receive once! To clean the communal areas, it’s safe to say I did not come back to Little Aspley house after first year, it ruined my first year experience completely.
