The atmosphere here is incredibly relaxed and welcoming. I feel completely safe, which is a huge plus. The university is just a short 10-minute drive away, making it super convenient. I also appreciate how peaceful the area is. Plus, you can check it out for free!

Great place but expensive for what it is. Certain groups will dominate the social spaces. Day staff are absolutely lovely but night staff tend to “forget” to pass on any messages.

I have been here a year and have had a wonderful time. The location is perfect for both universities and the city center and the super friendly staff here especially made my stay all that much better. Couldn't recommend it more.

I personally stayed in a bronze studio. Great place to live if sense of community matters to a person. Lots of fellow students from Brighton and Sussex, and many friends to be made in social spaces. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and nice. Cleanliness in stairs, hallways, and all public spaces can be awful and can go unchanged for weeks unfortunately. The rooms themselves are good quality but the price is not fair for the overall quality provided. Student Castle has larger and cheaper studios with a far better location. All in all good, but there is a lot of space for improvement. Also be wary of living in a shared flat if you don’t know your roommates. If they are nasty and trash the shared areas beyond recognition, there is nothing the admins can do about it other than ask every flatmate (including you) to pay £40 for a somewhat decent cleaning, that is if the kitchen becomes unlivable.

Less security cameras, Anyone could sneak in, social area is very noisy

We have over 40 security cameras in place to ensure the protection of our residents along with 5 points of entrance/exit from the building and all doors and gates are self-closing, to restrict any non-residents that have not been invited to visit from entering our accommodation. We would encourage you to report any incidences of unauthorised access to your property team as soon as possible, if they happen to occur. I’m sorry to hear the social area has felt too noisy for you. We want all residents to enjoy our facilities. I genuienly like the building and the staff creates a very safe social environment. My only recommendation, which is a big one too, is that student roost and study group runs background checks on the residents. People with an extense criminal record shouldn't be allowed to live in the building for the safety of the other residents.

Hillfort House is amazing place during your studies. Especially the events they organise for students. Last I attended the dog therapy session, that really helped me.

good amenities and common areas that aren't included in many other accommodations. many events on often and take suggestions from residents. Within walking distance of brighton campus and have links to trains and busses easily. Overall, great place to stay and would recommend

If you like overpriced, poorly run student accommodation this is the place for you. One of the worst experiences of students halls of residence I've ever had! The whole experience from start to finish was an absolute nightmare from frankly disgusting communal areas, a quite frankly unsafe approach to fire safety, broken doors, noisy neighbours and ran by a company who don't have a central customer complaints department. Would definitely not recommend - if you want a more realistic picture of living here, just have a look at the google reviews.

Great place to live. The building is nice with plenty of amenities that you miss out if you go into shared housing. Management is on site and answer any questions quickly. Recommend it

Comfortable room. There were a few bad apples that have been let go. I am extending. Cleaning and maintenance personnel are very pleasant people. Those in reception are friendly. New management is more than competent.

It's all good; the staffs are understanding and kind; the social places are nice; but it's expensive and I wish there was someone to help us with cleaning the kitchen and corridor of the flats once a month

great facility with easy access to uni campuses. Only fault is the very many late night fire alarms that went off many times

The overall experience is really good the location is really beautiful and calm and next to the universities, next to the bus stopes . But far from the city centre but buses are always available from the nearest bus stop which is like a min away from the accommodation. Fully satisfied
