I loved my stay at Phoenix. After seeing a few of the other accommodations, I can safely say that Phoenix was the all around best, best location, best price, and best people throughout ! The layout of the flats was incredibly sociable. My favourite part was the concrete walls which is an absolute dream at university !

Within a month I feel this is my home now. Having never lived in a city before the location feels safe and accessible. It’s great being so near to uni and the sea meaning i’m constantly out exploring. The staff are friendly and helpful , my only ask is that my bedroom wall is dying for a new coat of paint 🙏🙏:)

We have a foxes den behind Block D.
Very good accommodation great location so close to town and my campus
Loved my stay at phoenix, location is great, rooms seem a bit old compared to other buildings but nothing to complain about.
So for the price your paying it really isn’t worth it. 4 washing machines for 300 people, we had no hot water for a month, things in our flat constantly broke or didn’t work, they would loose our packages or accidentally give them to other students, my shower and sink wouldn’t properly drain. We had an oven not work for the whole year so had to share one between 8 people and my radiator was leaking and they never fixed it. It is a s*** hole but had a good laugh and met some good people haha
For the amount of money you are paying the services are not good. There are 4 washing machines and 4 dryers for 300 people - if they are all in service which is unusual. The wifi is also terrible and it does not connect to many people's phones. Most of the kitchens were fully refurbished however ours wasn't. Many things broke and had to be replaced along with paying the same amount for a dull kitchen. However staff that work here are lovely and very helpful.
Location was great but flat was disgusting. Asshole flatmates constantly trashed the place. Then in the early hours of the morning people would go outside and party. EVERY NIGHT. On the weekend it's understandable, but seriously, every night?? You won't sleep if you live here. I'm glad I got out.
Fabulous location but ultimately not worth the extortionate amount for them for such a poky kitchen shared among 8 people. No social spaces either. Do believe they have since been done up though.
Walls and windows are not the slightest sound proof, so can hear everything. Bathroom is in a bad state. The room size is ok but carpet and chairs stained and dirty. I would be satisfied if i was paying about 60 pound less a week
Great location but not worth the money. Small poky rooms and small kitchen for 8 people!! Lack of common room spaces in each block.
wifi is absolutely atrocious but location give the halls some value for money although if you were unlucky enough (like me) to come in the year before refurbishments, for the amount of money we pay rooms and kitchens are pretty gross.
