Horrible, don't recommend it, I've had issues with the internet since I moved. The internet keeps cutting out while playing online games, the staff refuses to do anything about it, as do the internet providers. I gave up trying to solve this issue after months of trying to get it fixed. Security is not great most of the time they don't take you seriously.

Pros: Great location to look for food, entertainment and other needs. Spacious rooms, kitchens and storage space. Friendly staff. Good wifi. Cons: Big silverfish problem. Some furniture aren't in great condition anymore. You can hear noises from the street very clearly. Far from campus.
Good overall option out of the other AUB accommodations, big infestation of silverfish bugs in the black I was staying in (block A) and not great upkeep of bathrooms and not great attempts to fix flooring problems in bathrooms unless you’re persistent in complaining about the problem. Spacious kitchen and medium sized rooms fine for single room. The lack of effort to keep the bug infestation away was a downer on my experience though.
Single beds are bad but good value for money
Great halls if you're wanting to go out clubbing every single night but if you want to study/revise/have an early night for work or illness then good luck as you won't be able to sleep with the noise from outside. It doesn't even have to be people screaming (although that is a regular occurrence) to keep you up, you can hear peoples conversations walking past with the windows shut and their voices travel so you can hear them for pretty much the whole road. So starting from 10:30-4:00, good luck trying to sleep as it won't change the whole year. Oh and our kettle is so unhygienic it's growing mold in it so we've not used it once, and no one has come to change it over
Room is great, staff are amazing, location is fantastic, wifi is hot garbage!
had a great time ....staff always friendly and happy to assist with any problems i had,,, close to town...over all a very nice place to stay.
Amazing halls in the centre of town by retail shops, nightclubs and supermarkets. There are buses and a train station close and its not far from the beach. Modern halls.
A very nice looking halls (despite not living there) with good facilities. The only issue may be the room sizes but there is enough room for all the essentials needed.
Everything new and clean, the rooms are a bit small for what you're paying. Close to town, long walk to university.
Bit noisy, not for people looking to have a quiet time. Great location, five minutes from many useful places such as shops, groceries, clubs, bank etc...
New building with clean and modern facilities. Probably some of the nicest student halls you'll come by.
Amazing, modern halls with spacious rooms. The staff are soo friendly and the security guards are very helpful and responsible. The location couldn't be better, by all the nightlife and town centre.
Staff and security team were so friendly always there saying good morning making everyone feel welcomed home. Lovely atmosphere and friendly students around the site. Rooms were great brand new and clean with amazing ensuite, beautiful courtyard area with trees. Loved every minute of living in Madeira Halls.
The purpose of me writing this is for me to see if I can enquire about getting more CCTV at the accommodation. We have had a recent incident where someone has severely damaged one of the blocks and due to there being not enough CCTV the culprit hasn't been found. One member of the security team has frequently asked his manager to get more CCTV and she has recently spent some money on a personal office for herself. Personally, I agree with the security member and the money should have been spent on CCTV otherwise some thing more serious might happen in the future. not sure what this company can do about it, but hopefully something can be sorted. Thanks.
Undecided
Really close to campus and located in the student village so it's easy to socialise and you don't have to get up too early before lectures. Rooms are quite spacious compared to some and you're allowed to stick up posters. Maintenance are really helpful and friendly and will quickly sort out problems. Cleaners are also friendly. There are no room checks like at some universities. Radiators are really good and my room is never cold! Also if you pick the right room, you'll have a balcony and possibly even a door leading from the balcony to your room!
Cons?
Poorly decorated and old interior compared to the other university halls. My room is just breeze blocks painted, with a 'feature' wall of a pale lime green colour. Rooms only have a tiny notice board and limited shelving compared to what my friends in other halls have. Kitchens above ground floor are very cramped and the breakfast bar is not big enough to sit everyone in the flat at once. I have silverfish in my bathroom and a sewage pipe in between my toilet and shower (yes you can hear the poop falling down it). Badly needs a makeover as the rooms are really old - the other week I came home to my bathroom tiles having fallen off the wall which according to maintenance is not uncommon!
