Yes you can have up to 2 guests visit you at the accommodation. They are able to stay over for 2 consecutive nights with a 7 day gap between the stays.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

MAGGOTS AND FLIES. By far the worst student accommodation that I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. The room was fine, basic stuff, double bed ensuite bathroom yada yada. The kitchen was absolutely filthy, all of the worktops was encrusted with grime, discarded food left everywhere to rot. There was a bin that had just been forgotten about so that when I opened the bin to change the trash, there were MAGGOTS. This makes sense given the overwhelming amount of flies populating the kitchen. I was so much of a sucker that I spent my own money on bleach, sponges and fly repellant to have somewhere I could actually live in. Oh, and I've just been informed that they will be kicking me out a week early because they have screwed up my booking. OH and they've also thrown away ALL OF MY FOOD ANS UTENSILS. AAAAAAAAAAAH.
PLEASE NEVER LIVE HERE!! we had two lifts and one was broken for the entire year I was living in New bagot, collegiate refused to fix the lift and then the second lift broke around February time and we never had it fully fixed until the end of the tenenancy so spent months having to climb 20+ flights of stairs. We had meetings and emails with the bagot street management and still nothing was done, not even any compensation or extension of our tenancy for a week so we could enjoy our graduation. Absolutely terrible place to live and incredibly expensive for the service you get.
DO NOT STAY HERE! 0 STARS First lift broke in January/February time and was never fixed and second lift has been broken since 10th March and it’s now 19th April leaving all residents with no lift for 6 weeks and this will continue on. No communication or explanation, complaints email completely useless and did nothing to help or answer questions and just give the same template reply to everything. Completely unreasonable for us to be left without a lift this long. The absolute worst accommodation in this area for the price they charge. They don’t provide a mop, kettle or toaster like other accommodations do . Maintenance turned up in march for a request made in October time which was laughable. Drains absolutely reek and this is not just my room, tried so many cleaning products. Was locked out of my room because the battery in the door broke for the third time this year and was made to wait around an hour for someone to come. The whole place is a shambles.
Do not waste your money booking here. The maintenance support is too bad. Lifts don’t work for months and months, nobody bothers. People living in top floors are the ones who suffer. Imagine carrying so much stuff everyday to 7th 8th floor. I recently got a foot injury and it’s been unbearable to take multiple up and down flights. Other than this taps keep leaking, hobs don’t work properly. Nobody bothers to give a permanent solution to any of these. Please save yourself from this place. I totally regret booking here.

Old Bagot specifically, which is where I am currently at is terrible and I would not recommend you live here. Walls are so thin that you are able to hear people playing music above and below you. You can hear the doors slamming constantly. There is a rodent infestation here and they are in the kitchen and can enter your rooms. staff are lazy and unreadable. 0/5 stars!

Had such a negative experience and had to move out mid tenancy as I got traumatised and started struggling mentally. When I wrote an email of. Complaint I received no response and no adequate help from the accommodation team. Was told to find a new tenant if I wanted to leave, which I did; now, they do not want to return my deposit. They fail to respond to emails in a timely manner. The landlord is unresponsive. Many who live in Bagot want to leave due to poor management and lack of effective response to issues in the building. The on-site team do their best but it’s apparent there is a lack of training for certain problems. Do not waste your money on this accommodation
Dear student, whoever you are reading this review. Do yourself a favour now, and don't choose this accommodation. You will thank me later. There is no help from the receptionists when you need it, and unclean, lousy response from the staff working there and so on... Not worth it, spend your money on another accommodation.

Management is s***. The only time they answer the phone is at 1/2am, mailbox always full so can’t leave voicemail. They have payment plan forms if you cannot make a full instalment of rent, once filled and sent back you have to wait for the approval from management. You don’t get a response and instead get threatened with legal action if you do not pay full amount.

I have really enjoyed my stay at bagot street, if it wasn’t for my flat leaving I would definitely choose to stay here again next year. The staff are lovely and very helpful especially my guy Izaaq, always there to help me and provide an excellent service when needed as an individual he has made my stay at bagot street a lot easier in these tough times.

I usually come to this accomodation to see my friends and the experience is always terrible. If you value your social life don’t come here!!! Firstly you’re not allowed to have more than one guest regardless of your room size and the guests get kicked out at 12am so if you plan on having family or friends spend the night over forget about that.

Good day, Here to state a few words on why Bagot Street Student Accommodation is ideal for the students studying in Birmingham City area. I've stayed at this accommodation for a good while and can say they are very accommodating in terms of options of room choices, amenities, location and service. They have various social spaces, study lounge and gym facility to utilize. The location is reasonable as it is a short walk to various universities, grocery stores, parks, and a storage facility is nearby if needed. Lasty the staff are exceptional and are able to help with all your needs. Hope you give it a try and I wish you success in your studies

Don't get me wrong, some staff really stepped out of their way for you however majority of the staff are very rude regardless of how well I spoke to them. You could tell they had favourites as those people were spoken to with so much respect. When I had to self isolate due Covid-19, all promises were broken. The "covid support" line was not answered to and the staff only made the experience harder for us. There was no measures to try and help us get fresh air considering the windows only opened 5cm. We have beautiful social facilities however even during times when lockdown rules allowed us to use these facilities, the staff could not be bothered. Considering cheaper accommodation provides something as basic as a vacuum cleaner in each flat, it is shocking that, especially during Covid, we were expected to borrow the vacuum cleaner for reception. Therefore when Covid was really bad and our hygiene levels should have been high, we were told we weren't allowed to use the vacuum cleaner.
Lack of regard for students mental health. Lack of maintenance leading me to become ill and leave the accommodation. And lack of hygiene due to poor health standards of my flat
Racist, Services and security don’t even care about you, Financial people make you pay extra money for no necessary reasons. You get kicked out of your own building because you’re sitting in a common room or waiting area for no necessary reasons
We are sorry to read that you are not enjoying your experience at Bagot Street so far. Bagot Street is home to students from many different backgrounds and from a variety of different cultures. We also benefit from having a diverse team. Due to the current climate, we have had to close our communal spaces to maintain resident safety. Firstly, the room I moved into was old, dusty, paint cracks, broken fridge and shelves been over 4 months and still not fixed. Secondly dangerous area, people are selling drgus right outside the flat and the staff members don't even care, fireworks, glasses, rocks all been chucked at the flats from the carpark and no response. Thirdly, they only care about money, I only lived in Bagot for 1 month and had to move back due to covid, and restrictions made it impossible for me to return and they said I cannot get a refund find someone to replace it. We are in middle of a covid and lockdown no one will move in. They clearly knows that and they are taking us for advantage. I am paying £6,500 to live there for 1 month. I am a student, I am not rich, this is crippling my bank, I don't have a job anymore, still they do not care.
