Linksfield Biography
At Linksfield the University of Aberdeen is just around the corner or a seven-minute walk away, whilst the University of RGU is a forty-minute bus ride away. The accommodation is situated right next door to Aberdeen Sports Village and is a short eighteen-minute walk from the city centre.
When you are in a sociable mood, you can join one of the social events or relax outside in the gated garden and recreation space. There's a dishwasher and washer/dryer/iron & ironing board in every kitchen for your convenience. Life is made a little easier with all-inclusive bills, bike storage, car parking and free WiFi throughout. This is the worst accommodation I have stayed in. Management has people coming into the flat almost every week for various checks and inspections. All doors are firedoors so it is hard not to let them slam and my flatmates wake me up constantly. Despite being told when I viewed the property that they would make every effort to place me with other final year students I ended up with a first year and a third year. Both are from another university, both study the same thing and are from the same country (all different to me) so it seems that there was no effort put in at all to place me in a flat where I would fit well. My flatmates take over communal spaces to host groups of their friends and wake up at 5 or 6am to play loud music, talk on the phone or hoover their rooms. I requested to move flats but was told no other rooms were available and there was no follow up on this. The only good thing is it is a good location for the university and for the sports centre.

Whilst away for Christmas our flat unfortunately flooded due to the pipes in the upstairs property bursting. The management team couldn’t have been more helpful. They moved our stuff including our food to keep it safe and found us new accommodation quickly.

we recently experienced an unexpected flooding incident in my student accommodation over the Christmas break. While it was a challenging situation, I must commend the management for their prompt response and exemplary handling of the situation. Despite the flood being caused by a neighboring property, they kept us informed every step of the way and provided alternative accommodation immediately upon our return. The new living arrangements were comparable to our original setup, ensuring we still had access to the amenities we initially agreed upon. Management did everything they could to minimise damage - they dried out our belongings and even stored our food in their facilities. The staff remained incredibly apologetic and supportive, despite the circumstances being beyond their control.

This property is in a great spot, super close to the sports village and university. Maintenance is top-notch, they fix things fast and keep up with preventative care. Paying rent is easy too. Overall, it's a really nice place to live.

Perfect wifi, great accommodation. Not many social spaces are available in linksfield but they are available in trinity court across the road. Rooms are great and sound insulation is amazing.

Very good property, extremely close to the sports village. Very good location for both the city and the university. Exceptional maintenance with issues being dealt with very quickly and good preventative maintenance. Payment is also easy and quick. Overall a very good place to call home.

I recently moved into a flat at Linksfield. The windows were covered in muck and quite unpleasant so I requested that they be cleaned. Mezzino informed me that the windows would not be cleaned for over a month. When I remonstrated, they blamed the seagulls. They then told me that they were going through their summer cleaning and not everything was going to be ready for my move over. I was not told this prior to signing our tenancy agreement. In short, Linksfield is not maintained all year round, so if you want clean windows over the summer, which is perfectly reasonable, then perhaps you should stay elsewhere.
We are sorry to hear you were disappointed we weren't able to clean the windows when you changed flats within the building. We have an outside contractor booked in to clean them prior to the new tenancy starting on 10th of September 2022. A contractor is required to carry out this cleaning due to the size of the building we cannot unfortunatley carry out cleaning ourselves safety. We really hope once the cleaning has been carried out you can once again enjoy your stay at Linksfield, Kind Regards, Karen, Accommodation Manager.
Ideally placed accommodation close to University of Aberdeen, Union Street as well as scenic places such as Seaton Park and Aberdeen Beach. Fully inclusive with high standard of cleaning also provided. Rooms basic but well equipped. Kitchen and Bathrooms both modern and high quality. Hard to judge social aspect due to COVID but kitchen has space for a fair amount of people.
