In the heart of Aberdeen is Causeway View, a historic building built in 1876 that has been turned into a modern and luxury student accommodation. It is a short seventeen-minute walk from the University of Aberdeen and offers its residents a well-balanced and exciting student lifestyle.
Residents at Causeway View have exclusive access to its excellent amenities, including; a free gym, an outdoor social space, a common room with table football, a pool, sofas, vending machines, and TV, as well as a rooftop terrace with fantastic views of the city. Their unique study spaces feature Microsoft and Apple computers running software such as Logic Pro, PhotoShop, and Illustrator. It also has an Amazon Echo, wireless charging ports, a binding machine, and even a thermal laminator. Residents also have access to parking at other properties at an extra cost.
All rooms at Causeway View come with a private bathroom. In the premium range studio rooms, you’ll have your bed upstairs on the mezzanine floor of your own loft-style apartment, making it the perfect space if you enjoy your privacy.

Is the parking free of how do you book it?

Hi there!
Unfortunately, only authorised vehicles, students with blue badges and staff vehicles are permitted to park in Causeway View. However, if you are looking to stay with us, we do have parking spaces available at our Spring Gardens property (A 2 minute walk from Causeway View).
If you have booked your room for next year with us and would like to reserve a spot for your car, please email the site team at Causeway and they will assist in getting you a parking space reserved!
Parking costs £60 a month and is added manually by the team, once added to your account, you can then head to the desk to make payment, call the site team and pay over the phone, or go online to our customer website and make a payment through there!

The location is very good as it is close to the university and close to town. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Staff are excellent and so friendly, plenty events going on and a common room that is excellent for communal meets. Close for a bus stop to RGU that is on King Street for travel to uni everyday.

The only elevator breaks down yearly and took around 2 months to be fixed, often around the time of moving out. The staff here just don't communicate with each other. I was told by one staff member that they would definitely help in that case, but on the appointed day, another staff member has no idea what i am talking about and had the attitude, 'that is not my problem.' Some staff have poor customer service skills, while others are great, but one bad apple spoiled everything.
Highly recommended facility and People are really nice. Wanna give a shout for TAha; pal had been great help always.
The accommodation is very nice and modern, well cleaned and looked after. A great common room with a pool table etc with a nice gym. The staff are always super helpful and nice. Ryan, Taha, Gemma and Gary are always superb with students.
The elevator still broken for weeks, but staffs are nice. Ryan ,Taka are cute.
Good place to stay at. Taha, Ryan and Hazel are very helpful at reception, Gary is also extremely helpful with any issues. Just wish emails were answered more often as often chasing them up is required.
Everything is so nice. Especially Ryan is good man. He always help me solution many problems. I am very happy to live in here.

This student accomodation is really great and has exceptional staff members like Janis, who is always ready to help. The best part is that it’s a 15 minutes walk from the university of Aberdeen and 12 minutes by bus to the city centre which makes it the best location in my opinion. They are always on top any maintenance that needs to be carried out as they put the comfort and safety of the students first. Great place and will be staying for another year!
Taha and hyan are very welcoming to help me lift heavy things and very patient！Both of them were very welcoming and patient, super hostile
I truly enjoyed my time at Causeway. Great accommodation and lovely staff! Big thank you to Mitch and Ryan who made my stay incredibly great and have always been there for me. One downside was the events, there was a lot to attend but non of the interest to me. Yoga classes or something similar would have been nice.

I thought the flat part lacked a lift, which sometimes causes problems for the residents. The other parts I thought were fine.
I recently stayed at Causeway View, and it was awesome! The rooms are very nice. The common areas, including the study rooms and lounge, are perfect for both studying and socializing. One of the standout features of this accommodation is the exceptional facility staff. They're super friendly and always ready to help out with anything you need. Maintenance issues get fixed really quickly, and the reception is open 24/7, which makes you feel really safe. The location is also really convenient with public transport close by, making it easy to get around. Overall, it's a great spot for students who want a comfy and supportive place to live. I totally recommend it!
It’s a wonderful place to live however, I personally think, it would be value for money if the cleaners were to clean flat kitchens as it’s been a huge problem for me as my flatmates redo not clean the kitchen, I’ve asked again and again leaving notes in the kitchen for them ect but they never do, II can’t cope when it gets dirty so I’m forced to just fully clean the whole kitchen which can sometimes take me a full day which has taken me away from being able to study.

For the housekeeping.Plz be strict with the extent of cleaness.Because my flatmates don't like clean the kitchen,it always be dirty.

the workers in causeway view are very welcoming and constantly attending and accommodating to our living needs. a special mention should be made about Abraham who is not only constantly helping us with things we need and is quick to respond to our issues but is also a good worker for students mental health as he always asks how our days are when passing by in reception which really does make our days especially as a second year law student. amazing customer service, as well as Alex who is also speedy and efficient with maintenance requirements and also a great person to conversate with when unblocking your blocked toilet.
The staff here are all friendly and helpful, especially Abraham, Alex, and Brian, who have all helped I and my friends on multiple occasions. They really personify what it means to be courteous and helpful.
The reception team are always nice to chat to. Ryan and Abraham are especially helpful and always go above and beyond to try and help resolve my issues. Ryan has helped me when I’ve had a really hard time with certain issues. I really appreciate the effort they both put in and to try help students as best as they can. Alex who is part of the maintenance team is extremely helpful and always tries to help resolve issues asap. I’ve had a lot of maintenance issues within my flat and he has always put in effort to fix these and been very speedy in responding to issues within the flat in comparison to other members of staff within the team. I really hope Ryan, Abraham and Alex know students appreciate the effort they go to, to resolve issues and help us. The staff in general are always very helpful and this is really appreciated. I hope staff are recognised in the support they give to students and how helpful they are.

Definitely my favourite place to have stayed at. It is slightly expensive but worth every penny! There are lots of areas to go to so you are not trapped inside of your room and there is a real sense of community. The staff are amazing and know what they are doing. There was always parties but also quiet areas if needed. Only thing the place is missing is parking for the students.
Janis is just an amazing gentleman, who will passionately help you any day anytime. He simplifies problems and make your worries worthless. I am happy Janis ushered me to causewayview my very first day in Aberdeen. He makes life better. 👍

The House keeper, Lynn, is fantastic.
The cleaner Lynne was very helpful and provided me with hoover bags. She went the extra mile and cleaned part of the kitchen for us and replaced the hoover bag.

If you are interested, our team can hold a flat meeting with your flat, and set up a cleaning rota that makes it fair for all the residents in your flat and works out a system so that everyone takes their turn in ensuring you all have a clean, welcomming living area! Causeway View is one of the best student housing options in all of Aberdeen. Well located from Aberdeen Uni campus, from the city centre and is easily accessible. The staff are all of such high calibre and I am of the highest opinion that they have just made the university experience just so much more enjoyable and comfortable.

Causeway view has easily the best location out of all the student accoms. It’s close to the uni but also close to the centre. Staff are super helpful and always pleasant.

Causeway View is a great place to stay, with great facilities (study spaces, gym, and roof terraces). Angie the housekeeper is amazing at keeping the building clean and smelling good. The reception staff (Aimee, Sophie and Gary) are always so welcoming and helpful. Overall, my favourite place to stay.

Amazing location, very friendly and helpful staff, especially Paul at reception and Angie who maintains causeway at an amazing standard. Also the WiFi is really good and you get around 80Mb/s usually, which I’m really surprised considering it’s student accommodation- so you wouldn’t have any problems downloading lectures or playing games ;) The rooms are also the best ones you’ll find for uni and having someone to help open your door if you’ve lost your key at any time at night ( a Uni tradition) is a life safer. All in all I can’t recommend this place enough, has made first year better considering how Covid has affected most other factors.

I have been living at Causeway View for a year so far and I would recommend this property to anyone I knew knowing full well that they would be more that satisfied with their experience here also. the property is beautiful inside and out. the staff are so lovely and friendly, for example, a staff member who helped me today (Gen) made conversation with me and helped me with such grace and kindness. I have planned on staying here next year also and I hope it will be as great as this year!

This year has been awful at causeway. They hired security, fair enough, but the security got a bit power hungry and started asking for not only your key card but your unite app too and if you couldn’t show both then they wouldn’t let you in?? My flat complained numerous times about our neighbours keeping us up through the night, all unite did was send them an email. This didn’t help the situation at all. For most of my stay the gym and social areas have been closed, which is due to government guidelines. But unite are money hungry and haven’t offered any kind of discount for those facilities not being useable, like the printer. Wifi goes down all the time, a friend in another flat doesn’t even have strong enough wifi to do her online lectures. Wifi was down for the good part of 2 days leaving me unable to complete an exam, no apology/refund/discount. Personally, not the best place to stay. Not enough characters left to be able to explain the rest but don’t stay here,not worth it

Great central location in the city (you can easily walk to practically anywhere you want to go). Only 5 mins from two big supermarkets and an extra 10 mins to another. Staff are so helpful and maintenance are always quick to fix issues. Rooms are nice and spacious. and well decorated. Have spent 3 years here, feels like a second home. Would highly reccomend!

Absolutely love living in Causeway View. The facilities are just amazing and the staff are fab ( especially Angie who never fails to put a smile on my face every time I see her. She really makes it feel like home! )

Cleansing during COVID is shocking, same cloth getting used on all unite properties, loud parties every night that unite refuse to do anything about, WiFi only works in certain areas.
We are so sorry to hear that you did not have an optimal experience during your time at Causeway View. Our housekeeping team work very hard to keep each of our properties clean and safe during the pandemic; we can assure you that they would not all have used the same cloth across eight properties. NO DEPOSIT or payments made before you move in was amazing, the staff were so friendly at check in they made me feel settled in straight away after moving from abroad for semester two at aberdeen university. The location is fantastic it is only a 10 minute walk through lovely old aberdeen to get to university so I dont have to wake up too early. It is affordable place to live all the bills are included and the wifi is great, the staff at reception desk are so friendly they told me i dont have to pay council tax after i got a letter they would sort it all for me. The bedroom is very modern and spacious there is so much storage it is fantastic

The onsite facilities are amazing, 24/7 gym at no additional cost, loads of study space and a great common room. Staff are so helpful and let you book out areas for study groups, parties and movie nights and there is never any issues. The night team are friendly and are always understanding and helpful when there is noise and issues, i feel so safe that there is someone available to help me 24/7, wouldn't stay anywhere else

Sian is very helpful and friendly, it is great that the staff are young and approachable, they know how to have a laugh but also be professional, I would recommend Unite Students to everyone, the team on site make it so easy to live away from home

Very modern facilities, onsite gym is great can be used anytime. The reception is open late night so it's convenient for picking up parcels after Uni, reception is also open on Saturday so don't have to wait all weekend if I have a question

The reception staff are so friendly and approachable, all very young and fun. Always ask how I am and how my day at uni was. The team make student accommodation feel like a home away from home, nothing negative to say

I love living here. The rooms are so bright and best part is that I can get to Uni without having to switch buses. The girl in reception is super nice, think her name is Jenn, she always emails me when I get a parcel and its open till like 8, so I can always pick them up on my way home

Great location, helpful staff and the bonus of a gym on-site. Relaxed atmosphere I found to be homely and welcoming.
Rude staff, maintenance issues not resolved - reported 3 times and still not fixed. Overall safety of the building is a joke. Fires keep getting started in corridors yet the fire alarms don’t activate despite the smell of smoke throughout the building. Overall experience makes prison life seem like a more humane experience than living at causeway view.
The rooms are modern and spacious, lots of common area for hanging out and studying, an equipped gym on site with no extra charge. Staff on site day and night are friendly and helpful - a fantastic experience.
