Horrible experience at this university. I would never recommend anyone go there. enrolling was a nightmare, and on the first day on the course I was still not enrolled, having been offered a place 12 months earlier. Admin services are hopeless, queries and enquiries are not answered or resolved and now I have to pay for a replacement certificate as the qualification certificate was not even sent by recorded delivery, tracked or required a signature on receipt and it was lost in the post! I have paid £1200 to complete a one module post grad course and now have to pay a Solicitor and the University to get what I have earned. This Univeristy is hopeless. I have given it one star only because I cannot leave the review without doing so but I wouldn't even give one star if I had the choice.

Oh dear the Law Department was so bad it had to refund fees but only after it was pointed out the Department couldn't follow its own handbook. It took two years up of my time to run the complaint. I am now at a University that is wonderful pity it isn't closer to home. Be aware be very aware. Keele will get money of you and then ignore you. Remember they only refunded fees after a fight and did not recognise the time they had wasted. Hence this review.

Wifi across most of uni good, just not in accommodation. Careers service good, but the basic information they give should be told to everyone in a seminar at some point. SU is good- I work there. It's enjoyable. Low wages, but that's standard. I think the night of pool comp they could have other competitions as well, like darts. Have to pay for clubs and societies which is a bit annoying. Could do with more facilities, eg. A cinema. All they really have is SU, sports centre and small expensive shop.

Being an isolated university it is important to have a good campus which here it definitely delivers. It has a feel of a typical 'bubble' campus. Has a very good SU but this is needed as there is no near accessible alternative, despite accommodation WiFi sometimes being dire the rest of the University coverage is fine.

I wasn't at Keele very long... For good reason. I was so far away from campus (Hawthornes) that it was impossible to just pop to campus or to the library because it would take an hour. There are so many clubs and societies to get involved with but if you live so far away it's kinda hard to get back without walking alone in the dark. The students union is unfriendly! I have known of multiple people who have felt unsafe being there. I didn't feel comfortable going there during the evenings because of my mental health problems and that is not what I would have wanted from a students union. Keeps university is all about the drinking, don't go there if you actually want to put time into your degree because it's all about partying and people will try to get into your room at 3 in the morning when they get kicked out of the SU for being too rowdy

the campus is really beautiful and its nice and relaxing to be in especially when you're stressed with studies (i recommend you go and see the Keele Hall). The facilities are really good (my mentor and his girlfriend even gave me advice and told me about places i can go study if the library gets packed). The Clubs and societies are really good and its a good oppotunity to meet people and try something new (like how i joined the frisbee society) though i do wish they had an urban games society like the university i wanted to go to.... but they have kendo so yeah im happy. The student union seem friendly and they hold the best parties at the SU venue (much better than going to Hanley), that's one of the good things about it you dont have to travel far to attend student events.

Not a review. Question - Asked for a 4 bed flat for this Sept & been offered just a temporary shared single room in Lindsay block T, which is far from ideal. Has anyone a) stayed in block T and if so are their tables in the shared kitchens, b) has anyone any experiences of having to share on a temporary basis for upto 4 weeks (this is what the accommodation team had said over the phone) Would very much appreciate any thoughts and advice here. Thank you

Keele is a lovely, welcoming environment. The SU is great and the range of societies and types of people mean that you never feel alienated or separate from people with common interests. Also, squirrels.

I LOVE Keele, there is such a friendly community atmosphere and loads to do. The student's union is great and really supportive and helpful when you need them. The courses and content are up to university academic standard and course tutors are always contactable whenever you require any help.

Keele has one of the nicest, most beautiful campuses I have ever seen, which makes living here such a great experience - especially if you come from somewhere not so picturesque! There are loads and loads of different clubs you can join who all hold social events that you can go to if you wish which helps get to know your teammates or follow club members better, but I do find some of them pretty expensive (to join 2 sports clubs and have insurance I paid £85) but things cost! The Students Union is so much fun during Freshers Week but then after that it seems to die down and the parties stop being so good. They still hold lots of events during the day such as Careers Fair which is fun to go along to and get freebies. Wi-Fi is available all over campus but is a little scarce walking between classes though I guess that just reminds you to look up from your phone and see what's actually going on around you! Overall it's an amazing place where I feel very safe and comfortable.

Wifi is very dodgy, especially in my halls. If you move your device the internet gets very bad and in some spots wifi is almost none-existent. Other than this, keele on the whole is fantastic! Though I wish they would do paint and foam parties like most other universities and clubs do!

Keele was not my first choice, in fact I didn't even come to an open day, I just selected it as the insurance choice because it looked OK upon brief research online. I was a self assured a levels kid, positive I would get into my firm choice. God forbid I actually ended up there come results day... AND that's exactly what happened. Except, it was probably the best thing to happen to me. I love Keele, I'm pretty sure everyone at Keele loves Keele. The community spirit, the £1 drinks, the fantastic staff, the beautiful campus! I've met some great people and made some great friends, been taught by people actively doing important, relevant research in their fields, and guest lecturers from other universities (Oxford springs to mind). Of course we could moan on and on about things that could be improved, one reason I gave four stars is that the sporting facilities could be significantly better, but university is what you make of it. Embrace the spirit, we aren't here for very long!!

The university nightlife is pretty non-existing and there aren't really any attractions nearby... The accommodation (shared flat in Barnes L) was pretty shabby as there wasn't much fridge or cupboard space, no bath and the bedrooms were tiny with very uncomfortable beds...

It's such a welcoming community, and there are so many societies and sports to choose from, and to be honest you'll always find something to do with someone. And to be honest, if you think of something else that you wanted there is always new societies popping up, so making your own would be no issue in the slightest. In addition to that the professors are welcoming and helpful, and everything is so close together, so that's always nice. And the SU is a massive advantage it being on campus and having events going on all the time, it's really quite a lovely place to be. I wouldn't have chosen any other university given the opportunity.

Wonderful

Lovely, friendly university in a great setting with plenty to do and an active students union

Cons?
If you're big into clubbing and are used to big city clubs then the SU might not cut it for you. If you don't mind the idea of a campus uni, however, it's great.

Best time and best support

The campus is beautiful and the staff are always on hand to help you regarding any issues. The availability of courses is second to none. And the student support services were always there for me when things got tough.

Cons?
It's great that everything is together in one place but sometimes this can prevent you from venturing out. The surrounding area doesn't have much going for it.
