As an international student, a lot of time went into researching for the “perfect accommodation.” After searching for other student accommodations, I felt Keele House best met my living needs. The most distinguishable quality KH studios has amongst others is walking space around the studio. The studios are very spacious allowing for movement to & from other stations & not a very crowded, tight space like other on & off-campus accommodations are. I have windows that I can open to get fresh air & sunlight, a fully functional heater, a huge wardrobe, a comfortable workstation with ample number of sockets/outlets & bright LED light. The kitchen cabinets & fridge are extremely spacious. KH has a very clean gymnasium with good quality equipment to get a good workout in that is open 24/7. KH is in the center & in walking distance of everything you need! Not to mention the extremely friendly & helpful property managers who host fun game nights with food & drinks! I'm so glad I chose KH!
Keele University has formed an important part in my academic and professional career. The community has been very supportive and helpful in regards to achieving my goals. All the hard work of all the staff in supporting and maintaining great quality standard of teaching during these challenging times is very much appreciated! I am truly grateful!
Could do with a lot more clubs like BJJ and Boxing
It’s a really good university and I have enjoyed my time here
Keele university is a very calm and safe place. I feel very comfortable at keele and I’m happy with my course.
The University has been changed a lot in recent years, form architectural planning to faculty system. However these are not giving the students better experience so far, and our school keep dropping in the University rank. We do understand farming before harvesting, but we need a University that we are proud of, rather than being strict at pointless parts.
Great campus with lots of activities and opportunities. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind too
Super nice campus, number one for sustainability in the world. SU security are pigs to women though x
I have enjoyed it so far and there has been exceptional support received from student services during a time of need!
love keele for the vibes and the people
I love it here! The staff everywhere is super friendly and I absolutely love the study spaces around campus. Amazing societies and the best night life at the SU!
Great university if you love having everything in one place with a community feel
Good university to attend. Offers nice services.
Very good university and very good teaching staff
Excellent location and modern building with helpful employees and fantastic shared facilities.
One London Road is a new build that is pretty modern, with lovely little studios with kitchen and ensuites, as well as quite nice communal facilities.
Brilliant campus with lots of scenery and views
Very nice place, with loads of society to join
I’ve been having an amazing experience at Staffs so far. It’s not too far from the accommodation as well. The library is accessible to the students 24/7 which is a plus point. Love the campus too, all buildings are situated quite close to each other so you don’t have to walk around much.
the university has lots of events on offer at the students union and the library is well equipped with all the useful resources needed for study.
nice campus, good amenities, library is 24/7 :)
I didn’t have the best start with this university, a lot of the content isn’t taught just PowerPoints released and you have to work through them yourself with no guidance which was a shock to me but I’m getting there now and other than student services everything on campus is amazing, great facilities and library
A lovely peaceful campus and it’s a place I’d never forget and I’ve made the best memories
Good uni with a lot of resources, very understanding and helpful student service advisors.
Decent university, the rooms are spacious and pretty comfortable. Enjoyed the private study rooms in the library. Events at the SU were good (e.g. Ardee, Halloween)
I study Medicine at Keele and it has been an excellent experience so far. Our teaching is fantastic and the university provides some top-notch facilities for students to thrive.
There are lots of social spaces and food stops
good uni, big campus and great facilities
Really good university, with everything close by
The internet on campus is a bit patchy and many have trouble with streaming lecutes whilst in accommodation or in the library. Be wary that not all devices connect to the internet straight away and there are no Ethernet cables within the accomidation.
Very happy I transferred here. Enjoying my time here so far
Really enjoying uni, loads of clubs and societies and the su is really fun
I have enjoyed uni so far and campus is very nice
Good university excellent for law
The university offers many different societies to join as well as many activities you can engage in. Alongside this, the tutors and lecturers are very good at engaging students with the education in order for us to understand the content needed.
Good place to study in its a good university
It is a good university with access to all kinds of help and support
Everything is within walking distance so very convenient. Sports centre is a bit old as is the library but everything is there and working well
Such a beautiful campus and the staff are really helpful
In my experience, Keele University has been a great place with amazing social events. Being with the new vet school, it's all been a rollercoaster and everybody has been really supportive especially the financial and student services team.
Clean, big space, multiple study spaces, options for food and plenty of greenery
welcoming experience very good
Very accommodating and exciting.
so great however not great for nightlife however if coming to do medicine doesn't matter to much
The campus has a good atmosphere that promotes peaceful learning. Theres lots of open green spaces perfect for going on a walk to clear your head before settling down to study.
Keele itself is one of the most beautiful area's I could of possibly chose to study at. The campus itself has so many events and social experience's as well as several buildings that provide additional support, amazing food and drink options, several extra curricular activities and just general a very positive experience as a student!! The actual area around campus is breathtaking, the views the beautiful landmarks and not to mention Keele Halls gorgeous woodland walks and lake is a superb addition to the University, I can't rate the university and it's surrounding scenary enough. Not to mention the staff who are so welcoming and if you're struggling to find your way security and lecturer's are more than happy to assist you! Keep up your fantastic work, I have no doubt my degree is in reliable hands with you as my University!
Fun and nice and kind people. like it and would recommend.
Keele Medical School is an incredible part of the university and I’m extremely excited to start my course!
Great university with lots and lots to do.
Excellent support, opportunities and teaching quality throughout my 4 years of university!
My university was fine unlike my offsite accommodation
Amazing university, fabulous campus with lots of history and nature to explore! Financial advice and mental health help is brilliant.
I have enjoyed my experience at the university
Fantastic campus and scenery with great teaching and support for you to reach your potential and graduate with the grade you aspire to attain
Love my uni, wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
Decent, pretty good agahahahahhaaha
I don’t live on campus and I can’t really say anything about it, as corona virus limited things for me.
Due to Covid I haven't been able to do as much as I would like in my first year. I really enjoy walking around the campus, and the student union area was nice to spend time in.
Despite living off campus the university provides everything for success and also allows for more social interactions
Great university with great opportunities
Only been here 2 years but not bad so far. Terrible management of covid, they offer less lectures even though we all have more time online?! Covid aside they are a decent uni and it has been fun so far.
I like the university, the careers service is great
love the uni! expectations have been exceeded and it’s a wonderful and friendly environment
The campus is not social at all, even during COVID compared to other unis.
My campus experience was only good from a social aspect, apart from this campus is hugely overpriced with no nearby shops. The student Union in walking distance is the biggest highlight. With more of a community feel also.
Beautiful campus. Everyone is really nice to you. You are provided with a lot of support if you are struggling. However, I haven’t experienced my course in person yet due to covid. Online classes are okay and organised.
The campus stuff seems fine but I haven't been there much because of covid
Although its been online thyve done a good job at giving live sesssions
Really convenient as being a student
Love this University, as having the experience of living in and off campus, Keele have amazing facilities
I haven’t been able to experience the SU or clubs due to covid but the campus forest is great to walk around
Haven't been on campus much because of covid but have been there every now and then the SU is have very social events
Best university going , so homely!
There are great volunteering and society opportunities at the SU, however management could be better
I’m in my second year at keele and although i’ve only had one ‘normal semester’ throughout that semester the on campus facilities were great. through online learning they’ve been helpful and managed to maintain some social aspects to uni.
Great experience at a campus uni lots to do
As a graduate I can say keele is one of the best universities in the England, especially for Medicine and many other subjects. Very supportive and caring staff. It has a community feel you won't find in many other places. Everything you need is on campus.
Campus is absoluetely stunning. So realxing to go on the woodland walk and sit outside keele hall, especially when the fountains are on. So many new builds the new science labs are gorgeous! There is a large variety of clubs and societies and weekly events. Definitely something for everyone. Student union is good, nothing particularly special but the facilities are great. i haventused the careers service so no idea how good that is. the wifi and internet is super speedy and i personally had no issues with ot at all. could watch movies all day without any buffering whilst accessing online work at the same time. The staff are wonderful and whilst the buildings can be a little cold as they try to be as sustainable as possible, nothing a little jumper wont fix. Couldnt imagine being at any other univeristy.
I fell ill for one assignment (all others were handed on time and done well) and they wouldn’t grant me an exceptional circumstance jeopardising my grades which affects my future greatly... this uni Dosent care about its students
I love keele campus. Small enough to bump into everyone and make friends, but big enough to explore and clear your head. The sports societys are where I made all my friends and they really make the uni experience. 1st and 2nd year the SU was AMAZING, this year not so much, it went quiet.
Keele is a beautiful campus with a great atmosphere. Community is the first word anyone thinks of, and it's definitely the case. Keele has a great on and off campus community. 10/10 passess the vibe check.
The university refuses to sell students a parking permit (£100) unless they have a disability resulting in many cars being stolen as students are forced to park their cars off campus. This also leads to disdain from nearby locals who often threaten to prosecute students with the help of police for parking off campus. If you need to drive to Keele University as you are living at home or you wish to bring your car with you to Keele University, dont bother, they will refuse to sell you a permit to park on campus. If you do attempt to park on campus without a permit, have fun getting fined and being threatened with expulsion from the University. I had to quit my job which I had held for the past 2 years as I could not park my car near Keele University or off campus and therefore could not drive to work. Hiring a taxi became unsustainable as I was spending more on taxi fares than I was earning. If you are looking to have a part time job at Keele University, have fun losing it.
After being disappointed about my university experience last year, I decided to change my course and I ended up studying at Keele, which wasn't my first choice. However I was extremely lucky, as I found it suited me perfectly, being fairly introverted and having been brought up in a rural area. The campus is stunning and this is something all of the students and staff are proud of. If you do like to party though (which I do also partake in!!) The SU does really decent drinks at a good price (Punk IPA on tap!!), and the security are nice enough with a safety first attitude (they won't f*** you over). If club nights aren't your thing the DMK (dance music society) put on raves at Stoke with Keele resident DJs, it's too sick. Uni lecturers are all helpful and my course is interesting and whenever I have needed help I have got it (bearing in mind I'm doing nursing, which keele is rated as being amongst the highest for in the country)
Its a good uni and the services are good. Make the most of them.
Even tho I hated Keele, they did have a really good students union (I've changed uni since Keele but I still miss the scruffy squirrel SU Bar). I joined an LGBT society where do met the best people and still talk to them to this date. I can't exactly judge the career service as I never had any experience with them. The internet is absolutely shocking tho! The internet is shared by the while uni. It would've been easier to have separate internet connectivity for each halls with the amount of money you pay to go there.
Good university, however staffing levels are so poor that they will employ anyone with a degree.
Attractive university due to it's campus location and green space, with the student's union being very good for it's location. WiFi will cut out at times on campus, lack of study space, courses slightly outdated (geography was anyway), not enough encouragement to join clubs and societies as cliques form within them. In all honesty, a very average experience compared to what is marketed; only icing on the cake was the friends I made and graduating with a 2:1 from a course I started to hate!
A big village comes with my university. Nice and quiet. First choice for studying.
The campus is lovely; the teaching is exceptional. There’s a sense of community that most university’s categorically fail to achieve. I’ve enjoyed my time here immensely. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I applied for MA courses at various ‘higher ranked’ universities, and was accepted into the likes of Durham/Lancaster/Cambridge. I, ultimately, chose to remain at keele. The lecturers and staff (especially in the philosophy department) are unfailingly knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Keele genuinely does offer a supportive but academically rigorous environment, an exceptionally beautiful campus, and outstanding teaching. This university is an example of the ideal student experience. The one caveat to all of the above is that the student accommodation, in places, is sub-par. However, I understand that the university has ambitious plans to revamp their accommodation offering, so, hopefully, the solitary issue I had with this university shall soon be remedied.
After an incredible 4 years - I am so glad to have studied Pharmacy here in the beautiful surroundings of the campus. Every single member of staff cares for your welfare, whether they are domestic cleaners right through to heads of school etc. My time as a Student Ambassador has also shaped me so well as a person and has given me the confidence to believe in myself when I enter the workforce in the near future. I am so thankful to the University for the exceptional opportunities, support and beautiful surroundings provided to me as a student. I cannot recommend this university enough, it was exactly the right one for me and my needs to become a Pharmacist.
Keele has everything you need in it’s own bubble, which is really helpful when your living on the beautiful campus!! It’s a lot more diverse then I thought it would be and suprisingly has very good night life on and around campus.
Had the best first year I could imagine, you get to know a lot of people and see them often. The campus has a really homely feel and the sports clubs and SU are really good.
Keele is a very lively university with great forms of diversity. All staff members as well as the students are very helpful and of course friendly. The community is great and your bound to find people with the similar interests as you so you'll never feel left out.
Graduating this summer and will greatly miss Keele! The campus is beautiful - so much open space to enjoy, particularly when taking a break from a long library session! Everyone is very friendly and I have loved my time being a part of the 'Keele bubble'. The SU have some great acts and in previous years have had Basshunter, S Club, You Me at Six, Professor Green. In my experiences, my lecturers and teachers have been helpful and happy to respond to any email correspondence if I'm unsure about anything. There are so many societies and clubs - something for everyone and a great way to meet new people! There are plenty of opportunities for paid work to help with funding your studies including Student Ambassador roles and working at the Students Union as a Bartender or Steward. The university is close to the town of Newcastle under Lyme and a very regular bus service will get you there in 15 mins. It has supermarkets, a cinema, a number of restaurants and bars.
The number of clubs, societies and events held really helped me settle in and make friends outside my course. The outstanding facilities and atmosphere in the library helped me stay motivated during exams.
I couldn’t have asked for a better university to come to; from the amazing SU events, to the beautiful surroundings and the lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere, I’m having the best time of my life.
Keele University is an amazing place to live, socialise and learn. It's the most welcoming university I've ever visited. Really friendly teaching staff and so many opportunities to travel and try new and exciting things
Such an amazing university! Currently in my first year here and I have just completed the year and now to start my second. I do single honours Geography and the department is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go on the field trips. The Student's Union (organises activities and nights out) is one of the best all round and it is easy to get involved in all the activities which are going on! The campus is so beautiful too! If you have Instagram it's a total dream place to be haha!
The medical school is amazing! The most helpful member of staff and a great community.
We were promised solicitors and barristers. After the first month they virtually disappeared we were then taught for extended periods of time by foreign nationals who could barely speak English. This course at Keele University was English Law. I complained and received half of my money back. They are busy telling their students they are number 1 for student satisfaction what they didn't say that only 4% of students filled in the survey. I still have the email to this effect. Be aware be very aware. I now take law courses elsewhere where the lecturers are both articulate and can deliver points well. That is what the private fee payer wants and nothing else will do.
