This university is poor in many ways and I would not recommend to anyone. The worst of all, some Lecturers can't teach and lack of organisation is shocking.
One of the worst decisions I made if I could go back I would choose Open University. It is not a campus It is west Suffolk college students who dominate every space and the noise from them is atrocious. It has been the most unhappy 3 years of my life
Accommodation is shocking for the price! It basically costs the whole of your student loan for a box room with a desk. Clubs and activities are minimal compared to other uni’s. Graduation is a tent in the car park and the summer ball is at a club next door, it’s all very prestigious.
Bright and cheerful! staff are always happy to help and always asking if I am ok
clubbing scene is not all that, quite expensive to go out on a night out. services are quite slow and not helpful enough
Excellent courses and lecturers, who are always happy to help out. Small class sizes means a personal link to tutors, which is very beneficial to the learning environment. The Students' Union is active to improve the range and size of clubs and societies, as well as provide sport and activities.
Facilities are modern and user friendly
The place is lovely and the students are super nice.
The University is great. It provides anything you will ever need.
great modern buildings. always improving societies getting better and better
Great location, need better chairs for lectures. Somewhere cheaper to eat and drink.
The teachers are great, the library is the best place to study in, they have laptops and sound isolation headsets that you can borrow from the library. They have people who can actually help you get on with your assignments.
Very good university. Communication about what is going on is very god
Great friendly staff. Nice new buildings in a great location.
The uni has some brilliant points, some not so much. There aren't many societies, however this is probably due to size. The social life is massively exaggerated (there's been about 10 'best nights ever' which were all disappointing)
Amazing, love it! Good university
WiFi is really good and they offer a lot of learning services
The campus is nice although the public walking through can be frustrating. Very clean and friendly staff
Really friendly university with loads of facilities if you need help. All the staff are brilliant and facilities are top notch.
Everyone is really friendly. The tutors are great and really helpful when it comes to preparing for assessments or catching up on work you've missed. The library staff are also helpful when it comes to research for assessments. The facilities are lovely too. Situated on the Waterfront which offers a lovely view. 20 mins walk from train station and close to town centre.
As a mature student, this University is a complete shambles. A lack of organisation and support for students. Management will not take any responsibility for mistakes or ownership of failures. It astonishes me that the University can function on a daily basis. I would never recommend this University.
The university is awaful. The lectures are rubbish I don’t think they even know what they are trying to teach. The organisation is non existent with no notice to students for extra things they add into the time table because of their incompetence to work to the time table effectively. I have been there 2 years and learnt nothing, my learning has been entirely self taught. I would not recommend this university I would strongly advise against coming here. The only positive is that the car park is good and you can normally get a space if you turn up before 9 or after 11...
The uni lecturers are great; they always make sure that you understand everything and you can book tutorials with them if you need some extra one to one support. There are great study facilities open 24/7 and the library has loads of books. There's even more e-books available through your uni profile
