Had a really good experience with this university in my diagnostic radiography degree. Lecturers are brilliant and always there for support. I made a lot of friends in my lectures and I came straight out of my degree with a job all ready and set up. I would not change anything about my experience and wish it could have lasted longer.
One of the best University experiences. Lecturers teach better! The environment is serene and great for learning.
Good university, friendly and capable teachers. Student Union feels like a friend's club that mostly supports itself and the interests of those running it. Only a few societies have regular events.
UOS is the most supportive University I've been in my life. The SU is almost perfect, and the lecturers are always willing to help.
I absolutely adored my time during my undergraduate degree. So much so that I continued studying PhD and am a member of staff.
University of Suffolk has been a challenging experience as a mature student with mental health conditions. A very good experience none the less. With all the support available from the varying departments. Many events throughout the year to keep you informed and learn new things outside of you're course and societies to keep you busy in you're your down time. All of the staff that I have encountered deserve their praise, they all have helped me with any challenges that I faced, small or large. Even lecturers helping remotely in evenings and weekends.
Feel very welcome as part of the University community, even as a mature student. Lecturers are very approachable and willing to take time to help understand more complex topics.
Overall a modern campus with lots going on and plenty of support. Various places on campus to buy food and drink and a fab SU.
Amazing. Facilities are new and up to date and the careers team especially have helped me massively to get a head start in my career.
Plenty of people always available to help with all aspects of university life. You can book meetings or email. For example, student union for social life, library staff for academic writing and lecturers for content. The opportunity to take part in studies is pretty cool too and there are some really staff members teaching my course :)) plenty of opportunities on offer too for example emails being sent regarding job vacancies and competitions you can enter
I enjoy studying at the University of suffolk but there isn't many events to go to which could be better.
Fab uni with so much support for students
Beautiful location right on the water front. Buildings are all clean and new. Lecturer's take their job seriously and there is so much support available from the library services if needed.

I have really enjoyed my studies at the University of Suffolk, the support available is amazing and there is a great community feeling.
Fabulous facilities. SU very supportive during this living crisis with hot drinks and extra snacks to treat the students. The University also offered free parking to all students because of the living conditions which I'm really grateful. Everywhere we go, there will always be someone happy to help. I'm having a fab experience and glad that I choose the UOS because I feel they honestly care for their students. SN (Adult Student nurse, year 1).
The University of Suffolk is a great place to learn and re-learn! Helpful lecturers guide you through your work during lectures and extra support in tutorials. Extra support is provided by the Academic Skills Advisors and Learning and Teaching Librarians. They also run sessions to upskill your writing and critical thinking skills too!
After 3 years studying with the university, I have to say, all the members of staff and tutors that I have had dealings with have all been so supportive and helpful. I have changed courses and they made this so easy and advised me on every step, even with some personal challenges that I have had to face the tutors have been amazingly understanding and supportive.
Okay uni. The campus is good with good facilities, but the standard of lecturing could be improved.
The amenities are basic, closure of cafe facilities or the option of very expensive cafe. SU shop in the library building which is far from the main campus building. Little to no careers support and generally very poor communication
Ipswich town is the best place to study, explore and have fun and the University of Suffolk is a high-tech, inclusive, diverse, platform for students to study, learn, achieve their career goals, and transform their lives for the betterment. As an international student, I will give 5 Stars to the University of Suffolk because of the realistic updated course content, student support, diversity, facilities, location, and part-time work opportunities.
Very good facilities, specially the library facilities and students unions work is commendable .
The staff are kind and supportive. The facilties are well presented, clean and well organised. The facilties around campus for food and drunk are also good.
As a relatively new university, I believe the university is growing and making strides. However, in the aspect of career opportunities and networking for international students, I think more can be done.
Student support services are really good in my personal experience, although they're not well known and definitely require more promotion. Internet in the library is very unreliable on some devices. SU as a body is good but the shop is poor. There have been some issues with lecturers on a variety of courses not being empathetic to disabled students and their reasonable adjustments.

Lovely university, set in the ipswich Waterfront with bars and restaurants all around. Services are brilliant at the university and everyone is so helpful.
I have thoroughly enjoyed studying nutrition and human health at UOS. The campus is very modern and clean and there are many areas to study in.
I absolutely love the university but sone improvements are needed. The WiFi in some lecture rooms needs sone improvement. The facilities within the universities social spaces need looking at, the student union is small often crowded and with very little provisions. Free tea and coffee are available which is great but there isn’t much more on offer than this as the student shop is looking at being closed. Other than this the uni is great. Has brilliant resources in the library and offers a brilliant learning environment with cari bf lecturers

Quite basic and in an expensive part of town
University has a wide range or facilities, as well as a large amount of support from staff and colleagues. Plenty of clubs and societies. Good communication.

A lovely university, in a beautiful location, with some seriously state-of-the-art facilities (especially for nursing & healthcare students). Lecturers and staff are really knowledgeable, are supportive and approachable, and genuinely care about you and your studies.
My time at Suffolk University has been a great experience. The student's well-being is paramount in addition to what they offer.

Most importantly the staff knows you as an individual and go above and beyond to help you achieve your greatest potential.
Facilities are of a professional standard, particularly in the arts building. Access to darkrooms, film developing, inkjet printing and state of the art software comes hand in hand with the most intelligent technicians you’ll ever meet.
In some aspects, this university seems to be ahead of others with its ideas. My course is very well balanced unlike I had seen on other open days, and I feel I am going to be better equipped going into my chosen field. The student union has some very helpful ideas with regard to free parking.

Lovely campus site on waterfront. New health science building is very high tech. However due to intense nursing course have found time lacking to join clubs and use all facilities. Can't comment on careers guidance as have not used as of yet

An excellent university academically, personally had mixed experiences in terms of staff support. I don't live on campus but it appears that there isn't a huge amount for students to do outside of study hours
University of Suffolk is an amazing university based on the waterfront in Ipswich so the beautiful dock of boats is right on its door step. Everyone is so friendly and there is so much support around the students throughout their studies. It is quite a small university compared to other universities so we get that one to one interaction with our lecturers which is nice because we ain’t just a ‘number’, We get taken seriously and every single individual is equally unique and important.
my uni experience has been hard with a big family and dealing with coivd and lockdown I suffer with anxiety and depression I have been given a fair bit of support the course is ok
UoS has some truly amazing state of the art technology for students to use from the hospital ward simulations in the Health building to the Cybersuite and AI technology at the Digitech centre, as well as incredible facilities for the Arts students. The Careers team are excellent and provide great support from CV writing and LinkdIn profiles to placements.
Compact modules allows time to study and work, really good specially for mature students.
It’s a very nice university with both friendly staff and students.

The university of suffolk changed my life, I got my diagnosis that I fought hard for for years and the support for it instantly, I’ve been shown so much and have a better understanding of past experiences. I would apply again in a heart beat.
Really personal university all your lectures know you by name. Unfortunately there is no longer a student shop on campus
University of suffolk is a great place to meet new people and engage in all kinds of bonding activities
The cafe in the atrium has recently closed as has the student refreshment area which means there are limited places to buy coffee's and snacks and they are so expensive.
Really good university with a great campus and facilities! Coming from a university in london I was worried it wouldn’t compare but the uni has been great and I have enjoyed my time studying here! The lecturers especially go above and beyond to help with not only studies but careers advice and anything I need help with
One of the best suppotive university I have ever seen. Work belongs Student’s life to help our achieve their goals when we have personal difficulties.
I joined the uni of suffolk when it had not long became an official ‘university of’ but the teaching style at this university is amazing. I did my undergraduate degree and I am currently doing my Masters degree in psychology and the university have helped me in so many ways I can’t recommend it any more
The univeristy is always clean and modern but doesnt have enough car parking space
My course has been very disorganised. Little point trying to work out what's going on as no one gets back to you for days. I've had multiple lecturers not show up/arrive late/leave nearly two hours early. Had two lecturers leave half way through a course; one of the replacement lecturers confirmed we were being taught the incorrect material by the original lecturer, and that the assignment was physically impossible. The campus is fine, although there isn't anywhere to get affordable food or drinks. The WiFi doesn't always work, and is very locked down which is difficult to work with on a computing course.
The university is a well rounded community of support throughout each department. In my years at the university I have enjoyed participating in events put on by the student Union, participated in some sports activities and contributed to a society by being part of the admin. The mental health support at the university is one that I cannot fault whatsoever, I have been supported throughout my 3 years as well as with other concerns such as careers advice and support. Overall the university is a very supportive and welcoming university to be a part of and I enjoy all of my time spent there.

The University of Suffolk is a brilliant new university. the small numbers for each class maximize the 1:1 learning with the lecturers and makes each lesson suitable for each and every student.
A decent university, the area is a little unsafe but that actual uni is lovely
The University of Suffolk is a growing university with quite a vast range of courses and programmes offered both online and remotely. With campuses in Great Yarmouth, Martlesham and Ipswich, the university is currently home to a growing number of international and national students enrolled in all levels of education. Also with very supporting staff across all institutes and departments, clubs and unions to support extracurricular activities, career and employment services upon graduation, and sport and wellbeing services being provided for students and staff. Generally, you cannot go wrong with the University of Suffolk.
Apprentice so not normal student experience so with societies etc. don't know enough. Teaching is Ok.
Small and supportive! Lots of space and facilities but doesn't often feel busy. Sad that the Shop SU and Cult Bar has recently closed down.
I was very nervous starting university at an older age. But all the staff and facilities are very welcoming.

The University of Suffolk has good facilities for healthcare students, the new building is modern and has everything needed to practice clinical skills. The wifi/service in some areas isn't great, and most of the tables in the waterfront building are very small for taking notes etc.

Ipswich campus staff are always friendly and very keen to help if I need to. There are however, some issues with WSC campus as they take too long to reply and the support is poor which lowers the overall uni experience.
My experience in general has been good.
I haven't had the best experience with this university, the physical university itself is very good with lots of facilities. The issues lie with the organisation and teaching quality, lack of lectures and lack of software which is required for us to complete studies. The lecturers are all very lovely but they don't have all of the necessary tools to teach us how they would like.
The university has gone above and beyond in making the uni experience what it’s cracked up to be. Whether it’s the night life and making friends or learning your subject to the best of you ability

The facilities are fairly good, however some of the lectures could have been much better, especially throughout the lockdown.
The uni small in comparison but offers a good level of courses. The course I am in is still developing based off student experience, which is positive for the following years but it has been difficult to navigate for our cohort. I hope future cohorts will benefit from our feedback
The University of Suffolk provides many different areas for support and I always know where I can go to if I need help.
So far i have loved my experience at the University of Suffolk. Being a smaller university, you receive a lot more personal help as-well as become friends with everyone on your course.
I highly recommend the University of Suffolk due to its ideal location and perfect balance between being neither too big nor too small. As an Event and Tourism Management student, I have thoroughly enjoyed the well-structured and engaging course delivery. The Students' Union is another fantastic aspect of the university, with passionate individuals who are dedicated to their roles.
The University buildings are lovely and modern, with a good range of facilities and lots of nice places around the area. The SU makes an effort, but there's not a huge amount of events or things to do planned.
The University used to be rated higher, but with the SU shop being closed down, the coffee shop in the uni building being closed down and not having many places to buy cheap food near by it has gone down hill a bit. With the cost of living crisis, less events are being held and student engagement had decreased. Overall a very good university, just needs to have more places to eat and more engagement with events and sports.
University of Suffolk is fairly new in comparison to other universities, however I do feel that it is growing, it is situated in the heart of the town and next to the waterfront which hosts many restaurants and bars offering student discount, which is paramount in the cost of living we are at the moment experiencing. The University itself offer a wide range of courses, and also their is a lot of support available for anyone who struggles academically or has a learning disability like myself. I am doing my mental health nursing and without the support from the University I would not be able to continue.
The University of Suffolk is in a great area, with lots of local amenities. I feel that there are a diverse range of courses to cater for a wide cohort of people and there are many support facilities available such as library services and caterers advice. Overall I think the university is a great place to attend for an undergraduate degree.

I think the university is good and offers everything we need as students. It would ne nice if there was a university canteen or something that is cheaper then the surrounding cafes. it size of the university is nice, it's not too big
Have enjoyed my time at the uni. I’m a mature student so haven’t taken part in much “student life” aspects as I have a family and part time job, however speaking to other students this seems to be enjoyable. The SU is fit for purpose, but we don’t have a student cafe or bar which would be really good.
The Uni is okay. It is ideal as a student who lives in Ipswich and couldn’t move away for study. But it suffers by not having a decent student pub/ social area.
