The first week i have spent has really bossy my confidence, talking to people and find the right support has been very easy and really accessible. The facilities on campus are really good, i think some of the accommodation could be upgraded or at least have the price lowered, but overall a good experience so far.

Dreadful No support for send or vulnerable students.
Everything great. The only thing I found was the way the way job fairs are set out. I found it a bit overwhelming with many of the stalls. I found at the beginning they announced who all the stools were but with so many there you forget who was who and was unable to hear clearly because there was so many in a big space and found to get a bit lost.
The university itself is very good. They are supportive of their students mostly and the lecturers are all very nice.
Good uni does the job enjoy it there
It’s cool everyone cool the people are cool
Living here for one year and amazing experience, gonna stay here for two more years. Kind staff and amazing social experience. Everything was exactly what I wanted. Having a lot celebrations. Cleaned place and mice things to try.
Really Great really nice. 👌🏾👍🏾
Good university, really good student nightlife.
Very good place to stay have loved my time here and i'm really sad that i have to leave in july as it is my final year :(
Decent university. The campus could be a bit better but it’s a good uni.
It’s an amazing uni the WiFi is ok but the liabry facilities is amazing
I really enjoy attending Canterbury Christ Church . Staff are really engaged and supportive.
There have been some communication issues within my department but the university itself is pretty nice! Facilities and wifi are pretty good, I am not super involved with the student union or societies.
Terribly organised and no student engagement
fun learning environment helping me become more confident
It’s amazing, great place to live
Great university loads of friendly people
Even is good, nice location, best professors, nice student union,
The faculty are very engaging teachers and extremely interested in their respective subject areas as well as the general welfare of the students.
Completely left to fend for yourself at cccu. Poor experience!
It's a good average university, nothing special, but nothing overly bad about it either. My main issues are occasional poor communication and the strikes.
it’s a very big campus and the staff are lovely
It’s good, I feel there could be better interaction with students
Good campus, great facilities.
Staff are lovely such a great course and amaizng facilities
I'm doing the MSc Psychology conversion course. Since the start of term, there have been persistent quality and value issues. Repetitive lectures (sometimes totally repeated presentations, or low value "chatty" hours which are little more than morale boosters), freezing lecture rooms, persistent IT problems, delays to Student Finance due to the University, inflexible lecturers who are also going on strike, etc. They seem very proud of being something like 50th in the country for Psychology. Well hurray... If I'd known it would be like this, I'd have thought twice.
Good university, film production equipment is really good.
Brilliant variety of clubs and societies. The SU has a great atmosphere on student night.
Good university all around, wifi on site campus is tricky and not as good as it should be, staff are friendly and quickly reply to emails and questions
The university has a range of facilities and support which have made my university experience good.
CCCU is an okay univeristy. Where the university shines is the commitment and help of the teaching staff and lecturerers. Some aspects of the student life could be improved though e.g. SU and societies.
I really enjoy my time at university.
The university is okay. They help you through a lot of things but it can take quite a long time.
The best university ever. 100% recommend
Very good campus with a lot of studying space which I don’t really use due to already having one in my accommodation but is accessible if needed
It is a good place, but sport center should not have fee for student. It’s quite costly.
Great uni, great Experience. I’ve had a great time here
Bit dated but okay. Would say a lot of students are there to learn and a lot aren’t, it’s about 50/50.
It is not very good, small campus.
I'm impressed, education itself is very good, accomodation is fine and does the job
I love my uni it has nice vibes and good energy
canterbury christ church university very good support especially throughout covid
not good, university doesn't care about their students or their wellbeing as much as they pretend to
Interesting courses and many interesting individuals to meet
Organised, helpful staff and lots of student resources to engage and support students.
Excelent i love my univercity.
Very nice place, excellent facilities, friendly people and all around great vibe. The city is wonderful and has many different amenities to offer.
Staff could be better and no one helps you
I really enjoy spending my time in this university.
The facilities and education at this university are at a level you would expect them to be however, communication from staff is not of a good standard and clubs and societies are basically non-existent making the all around university experience more lonely and you find yourself not being involved with any events as you can see happening at other universities.
Good spaces to study and great teachers!
My student experience on most aspects has been fantastic, and this mainly because of student life that I had and the support of the Students Union and University lecturers.
Not much of a community feel amongst students
Good university and a lovely place to study. Mostly up to date facilities making studying easier.
Studying at CCCU during the pandemic meant that joining societies and the student union wasn't possible. Most of the education I received was online and therefore I had little to no use of any facilities for a large portion of my first year.
With Covid all lecturers have been really supportive, especially with teaching online. They have made everything available online so those who have been vulnerable have been able to stay home and stay safe.
Should work on building a more inclusive community amongst students. Students seem to have an elitist attitude here
The uni seems like a very nice place, some fantastic lecturers
I've really enjoyed my time at CCCU so far. I feel like this is a really inclusive and friendly university and there's something for everyone here.
Good university, highly recommend
CCCU is well situated in Canterbury. The campus is mostly compact and on the same site so navigating is not hard.
Careers team are proactive and prompt, always able to answer my questions. Library is great; campus could do with some refreshing as it feels a bit dated but is nice - some greenery and water on site.
Although this wasn’t my first choice university, i am overall very happy with it. It is close to home, the lecturers are really nice, i’ve made friends for life especially meeting people i never would have met because I took the foundation year. Campus is small but nice little areas to study, and big canteen. food is good. lecture halls and rooms are good. the library is perfect has lots of space and a group study area aswell as a quiet and silent zone. i joined pole fitness and met some amazing girls! the student union is nice but a bit pricey! I’ve met so many great people and i’m grateful for my experience so far! i have uni tuesday-thursday 11-3 not bad so it meant i was able to work part time. maybe it’s not the most highly ranked uni but i’ve had the best time so far! chemistry on a wednesday is the best!!!
I have two regrets in life and one of them is choosing Canterbury as my place to study. Three years of my life wasted! This university is a s****** as far as I’m concerned. The lecturer are crap(rude and unsupportive) and it really doesn’t prepare you adequately for a careeer in your field of study in my case finance. I graduated a year ago and still can’t find employment in any field. Graduating from CCCU gives you no edge. Wish I had research that side of things more thoroughly.I don’t know anyone I’ve graduated with working in what they studied. One guy I know is a cleaner and he graduated with a 2:1 degree. WISH I COULD HAVE MY MONEY BACK. One friend of mine quit in her final year which I was very disappointed about but turns out it was the best decision she made. A year later instead of going back to Canterbury she transferred to a London university. Her grades improved due to better support and she also got a job in finance during her final year of study due connections made by
Amazing experience and extremely supportive lectures
Such a community feel, lovely facilities and amazing staff. Cheap SU and such a wide set of societies for everyone! Definately recommend!!
No running hot water and was told to scan QR codes. Also wifi didn't work at all.
Good wifi Good wifi serviceGood wifi serviceGood wifi service
Staff mentoring is a lot higher than I anticipated which is brilliant. IT services is brilliant and the library is cracking. However being a city university there can be distances to walk. Most is located on one campus, yet the library, some offices and even one lecture hall are a bit further away. Accommodation is located anywhere from 5 to 15 minute walk away. Wifi is great when working but, especially in accommodation, it drops fairly regularly. Parking in the area is shocking.
You get out what you put in. The uni staff help if you need it and the atmosphere is very inclusive. Proud to be part of it.
I have just finished my 3 years studying Psychology at Christ Church, and I enjoyed every moment of it. There really is a good community feel here, despite the fact it is technically not a campus uni. Accommodation is good and modern and close to uni! I’d 100% recommend joining a sport or society and getting involved!
CCCU does not offer any opportunities to enhance international students' integration into the UK context. The campus is tiny and the library does not open 24 hours and lacks most resources
Brilliant uni, loved working here and fund the courses and staff very useful for furthering myself in the career path of my choice. I would strongly reccomend this university for anyone nterested in the Arts.
I have had the WORST uni experience at Canterbury! my course was run appallingly! I can't believe I am contributing to such an awful university, poor organisation and even worse communication between not just staff to students but amongst staff themselves! thanks for nothing Canterbury.
Campus offers everything you need but isn't particularly modern, student union rarely offers anything in terms of social events/
Great buildings, get to a lecture early and hop onto the free wifi while you wait (Really fast, no limitations)
Excellent staff and services, always helpful whenever in need. Also a lovely city with lots of charisma.
No one attends student union, waste of funding and too small to house any events that would spark any interest from students. Wifi is limited on what you can use it for and what device which makes tablets and iPads hard to utilise. Careers centre is unknown for its location and never hear from any one in it. But the clubs are good. £1 might!
best decision I ever made coming to this uni
Brilliant experience. Brilliant people. Average education
Very good university with Lodon standard without the expesive city
Beautiful city, beautiful campus, lecturers are great and people are lovely.
Nice small uni with fantastic library facilities and sports teams
Great university. Amazing sports and society system which support over 4000 students through uni
Not quite what I expected from a university. While some aspects of the university are good (for example the ease of contacting lecturers if you require help, or module options that are available), the campus, to me, feels more like a college which isn't really what I was hoping for from my time at university. The lectures in first year occasionally seemed pointless and some of the tutors are not on the same level as students in terms of rapport and understanding, which is a big downfall. After discovering what other universities have to offer their students, CCCU does come across as a little disappointing.
Great uni, lovely town, good friends
Excellent university offers amazing facilities and support
Canterbury Christ church is a great university, it provides you with lots of opportunities to make new friends through societies and clubs and it has good facilities, one of which is the library which is excellent
Not the best organised or best use of space. Hardly ever any computers unless you got there for opening! Not 24 hours!!! On campus facilities poor. Over priced food in library and on campus. Overall 2*
