I think the university is fantastic and offers complete support for any type of person. Willing to care for those that need it. Facilities could be a bit better however the social aspect more than makes up for that loss.
Great uni. Really recommend it.
The university itself is beautiful with a really friendly environment. The societies aren't that good but other than that it's a pretty great place to study.
Great facilities, clubs are varied but expensive, union shop (like all other unis) is a MASSIVE rip off for food, just go into town for lunch. Careers supply opportunities constantly throughout my course, internet is amazing.
Everything about the Uni is amazing except the SU, there is no bar (the partner bar doesn't offer discounts and is expensive). The shop recently put their prices down to normal (not £2.50 for a cheese sandwich!) but the hot food counters are really yummy too.
Nice campus close to town and the bars, and some fab societies and people there
Clean modern campus, big library with 24/7 hour access except holidays. Staff on site friendly and helpful.
Perfect location! New campus is lovely
My course never really used the central services building because I am at the opposite side of campus. The wi-fi is awful and drops connection constantly. The health and well-being has helped me allot with allot of personal issues and issues from my halls. I have never used the careers service but I have herd that it is good.
I spent a year at Coventry which was absolutely awful so I transferred to Huddersfield. The university is so much better. The buildings are all modern unlike Coventry's flashback to the 60s/70s. The staff are all friendly and take genuine interest in students. The student support services have all been very helpful and the careers department put a real effort into each student. Also unlike Coventry there aren't as many foreign students who can't speak English holding the class back. It's a genuinely nice place to be.
