Brighton university is a beautiful institution and has a great range of opportunities and facilities for learning home away from home. The university community is a caring one.
Mouslecoomb campus is nothing special but still a good campus that provides whats needed and a good library
Its not a bad university. Somthings can be better but not bad in general.
Brighton unis a fun place to study and everyone is so welcoming
The atmosphere at the grand parade campus is incredibly welcoming and homely. However I feel that there could be more engagement from students in the exhibiting of their work throughout campus and arranging of events on campus.
Very nice student environment and are
I’ve just started and I’m finding it quite nice and relaxing, it’s easy to get used to it, friendly and supportive environment. Whenever I get stuck I ask and my problems are solved right away.
Great university, great cafeteria and wifi connection I wish they were more jobs available on campus
I’m studying MPharm with preparatory year and uni is so good for that course. Brighton was ranked no. 3 in guardian journal for top MPharm universities 2025
there's a cafe in almost every building, great library, student union shop
very good overall in my opinion
Really fun social uni! They have loads of different social clubs and lots of weekly events.
I love my school! My teachers are very very good!!!
Love the falmer campus. It’s small but has great facilities
I'm enjoying it so far, nothing to complain about

Their library in the Moulsecoomb campus gives much more better space to study than the other libraries. Although they can be a balancing act on choosing space or a good view of Stanmer Park in the Falmer campus. Reception as well as the international students team (documentation) are very responsive and helpful.
falmer campus is good. there is a gym onsite. the library too. most societies that aren’t sports related aren’t held on this campus so you’d have to travel out. the students union also mainly held on another campus. wifi works throughout.
Amzing elegant excellent criminal
I like the university of Brighton but I don’t like how Spread out the campus is.
not much to say since the strikes have stopped me from being able to attend lectures but people who are able to go i know like it
Overall decent university campus and has everything needed
i’m on falmer campus it’s safe fun and modern
This is my second year now at the university and it has been a good experience so far with a number of opportunities to meet new people and try new experiences
There's always a lot of fun going on around campus and everyone is really nice.
Good facilities, polite and helpful staff, and an overall welcoming atmosphere.
I’m enjoying my time so far at uni. just want to get stuck in quicker and quicker.
I love the stuff snd their help. It is clean, could have more interactions and all but mostly very good uni.
Falmer campus- good self contained campus. Not much nearby, but the campus has a few cafes and an SU shop. Good lecture halls except C133, has no desks and is quite dark. Would be nice for having a nap maybe but the seats are very uncomfortable.
University’s firing staff because of shortcomings in their budget and staff strike affected our course and studies, not really happy with my university.
I can say that it was my best experience of living in a student accommodation. I like Sam and Mat and other staff, they literally do their best to make this place like home and comfortable.
The facilities on site are really good, the library is lovely and the range of societies is great.
My university experience has been good
The university has a lot of support options available which, while I haven't accessed most myself, feels reassuring to have there if I ever need it.
Great place to study, lovely campus, green and spacious, good facilities and nice spaces to study
You will never find another campus that goes the extra mile like Matt and Sam at Great Wilkins Halls of Residence. Both Matt and Sam with their expertise in cooking, event planning, care and wellbeing and much more. I would highly recommend great Wilkins halls of residence to anyone.
Good university with great campuses, the Unibus service is great, I wish to have this service in the summer as well.
Nice and lovely ppace ...appreciate better support for internationals tudents
The university of Brighton is such a stunning place to study! so inclusive and is really good if you are studying anythjng nursing wise
Overall it's an alright university though has a few issues with some aspects.
It was a nice experience, however I found the coursework to be too easy and my peers didn't care about group work.
Lack of communication, isolated location, only shop is on another uni campus and is incredibly expensive
We have been given serval super fun experiences
It’s a really good uni with lots of support
Good uni love Brighton can’t go wrong
Decent place to study, lecturers are hit or miss but it depends on the course really
really good staff and enjoyable course
It’s a good place to study and the campus is good
Is a nice place however there aren’t shops close by and a lot of hills so shopping is difficult
Good university and professional lecturers.
A lovely inclusive environment for academic and social development with great facilities and staff
good atmosphere great space good lecturers
The experience is excellent , great students and staff, the location is also so beautiful
Decent campus to study on, nice checkland cafe
It's a good uni, teachers and lecturers are great and the staff have always been helpful to me when needed.
Brighton and Sussex Medical School - good student support and societies, Audrey emerton building could be improved
very nice uni, staff are lovely and good campus facilities
Biggest regret going to this university. It has been nothing but hell. The lecturers are awful, rude & racist. They create unfair playing fields for many students, especially when it comes to exams. If you suffer from mental health…this is not the university for you either. Accommodation is awful and really expensive considering the quality of it (barely liveable). Don’t go to this uni if you can help it!!!
Amazing experience I love it. It’s very convenient
Great staff, just amazing service and teaching, would always recommend them to foundation and degree students at every corner.
A great school but it would have been better with a clinical (in-hospital) component to the Masters program.
Nothing really to complain about Brighton Uni. I've had nothing but support and positive experiences
Nurturing environment with great lecturers and tutors who are always willing to provide support and guidance
The university helped me when I thought I couldn’t be helped. Having to leave a different university I felt so welcome to be there
I love it here :'(. I am an international student originally from California and I picked Brighton to stay close to the ocean and I am so glad I did. I love my course, the professors who teach on it, the people I've met through it; truly, I could not have asked for a better experience. I was able to visit Brighton at all beforehand because of Covid and I didn't know what to expect, but I am so grateful that this city so quickly began to feel like home.
The university campuses are generally very welcoming and nice places to be and study, I think the students union needs some work though, just so the students know the service is there and can have some influence.
Absolute scam! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! I have lived here for my university experience and am so wholeheartedly disappointed in the experience and would go as far to say that it has actually ruined my university experience with the ongoing knock on effects occurring. Complaints that were not easy fixes were still logged as 'fixed' and all they would say is "someone needs to come out to look at it" (a contractor) and they never ever came! So the accommodation team doesn't believe me when I say it was flooding! We went the whole winter WITHOUT ANY HEAT in our hallway!!! My BATHROOM FLOODED EVERY DAY without fail! Honestly grab some arm bands because once you step into your bathroom you're in a paddling pool which constantly spills into the bedroom leaving a wet and smelly carpet for days... Many many other students living here have also expressed their stress in the bathrooms flooding frequently as well.
I am a first year student at the University of Brighton, I was a bit anxious about looking for an accommodation for my second year but Hollingbury House was the right decision to take because they have reasonable prices and loads of services that students are looking for and also their location is perfect. Alice is one of the staff working there and she helped me throughout the process of booking, payment and in-person viewing. All staff members are friendly and helpful and I can't wait to move in this September!
Only saw a single very small building for my time at uni in comparison to what the university offers so take of this what you will
The Internet at Uni is perfect, and im happy about the free Uni Bus!
Very good university with good lectures and mostly good content however some of the websites used are not too amazing such as pebblepad.
Great wifi! Works in great locations!
Perfect place for 1st year students. Perfect price compared to other accommodations. Perfect social life and spaces and fairly new.
Very poor uni. We are half-way through the course and have learnt practically nothing. We are currently putting in multiple complaints and trying to take the university to court. Communication between members of staff is terrible, resulting in a lot of issues for students. A lot of lectures are about really random topics like sexuality and racism, and are therefore nothing to do with animation. So far, until this semester, pretty much the entire course has been held online, so we are paying £9K a year for an online course. The campus building looks abandoned and is not even properly maintained, with a lift we refer to as the "Death Lift" as it is frequently out-of-order, shakes and makes very disturbing noises, we have no on-site canteen and apparently the one coffee machine in the building hasn't been restocked since last Christmas. The only good thing I have to say about the University of Brighton is that you have access to some really good societies as a student. Avoid this uni!
I like the environment and the teachers
Greater Brighton Mertopolitan College is great ! Doing an art foundation course !
It’s an okay place to study. What makes this university special is the amount of support you get and the arts courses have amazing spaces to work in ☺️
Lovely and friendly staff! Good location and nice accommodation, definitely recommend xx
they have ok facilities but not up to date and the building could do with up dating
Feels so shiny and "perfect" it seems fake
Nice environment, but the passion the professors have is what makes this university special. You feel motivated and inspired to work hard and achieve! :)
Great facilities & warm friendly staff. Busy and engaging classes with a good atmosphere
Great uni with lots of support
Great place to go would recommend the city to anyone!
amazing uni, tutors are so kind and supportive and the course is fantastic
Great university and fun to study
The reception is so nice and helpful and always willing to offer help. The location is quite good because you could easily go to sains for groceries. And the common area is usually quite. Overall, it's satisfying experience living in here.
i love the university all the teachers are very helpful and supportive
Great facilities within the university, lectures are great with help, always offering for 1:1 or contact via email. The union is great and personally messages everyone individually during the pandemic to check how we were. Careers team and any staff are great with communication and any help needed!
I attend the Eastbourne campus and the campus and facilities are fine - free street parking and as a student you can apply for a permit to park in the on site car park. I’ve not had anything to do with any clubs or societies. The student Union again I have never had any involvement in or the internet! Career service I haven’t used because the course I’m doing is for a direct jon
Amazing university experience and a nice staff.
I am a postgrad / mature student and did modules in the social sciences school / town planning MsC. Mainly used Falmer campus and St.Peters library. The uni is disorganised. There are some unprofessional admin staff. It is poorly resourced - library, PC and study spaces all have problems. My course leader was very supportive. Some teachers had poor teaching skills, could not explain assessment expectations (that they had written themselves) and patronised students. Some were exemplary. Most academic staff go out of their way to offer personal academic support. Library / student support / disability staff are all amazing, but the disability service is woefully under-resourced. Management sent me emails with lies about lost teaching due to strikes being replaced (there was never any intention to do this) then fobbed me off with PR staff. The town planning MsC was highly organised with excellent lectures, professional guest lectures and great academic, online and administrative support.
Overall Brighton is a good uni in a fantastic city. Falmer campus is really nice and Moulsecoomb is pretty good too. However I don't think that management appreciates the lecturers, lab staff, librarians etc. who all work extremely hard. Sometimes it seems like decisions are not always made in the best interest of staff and students. However, if you want to go to a fun uni with nice lecturers then Brighton is a great choice and, on balance, I would recommend it.
Very helpful and will also help with anything.
The University has many great courses and holds so many events that can be helpful for international students who want to get to know people from other nationalities
UoB is a great university and very friendly staff.
never been to the campus due to covid
Campus is very spacious, clean and has some places to grab a quick bite with friends. Lots of societies and clubs to choose from you will have no trouble finding something you like.
great experience, the campus and it's facilities are very good
good enough for what i’m studying
