My ceiling started leaking with water from the bathroom above and it was disastrous and flooded my bathroom, took 3 weeks to empty the lamp on my ceiling which was filled with water and when they did they flung water all over my room. since it happened in the middle of the night i guess there wasnt much stuff, but security gave me a bucket for my ceiling waterfall. dont know if they ever repaired the leak but overall good social experience and the location for money is excellent. crazy amount of doors and walking though, no lifts so if you lived on third floor you’ll have to carry your massive suitcase up three levels with very narrow space

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The location was great; the highlight was the walk to campus through Hide Park! The social spaces could be better, as there is not a lot of space for everyone. I would say that it was a good value for money.
Wilson House made the transition from my home to Uni very easy.
The location is the best part. You just walk 5 minutes and there is Oxford Street.
Great social experience, incredible location and good value for London
Wilson is so social your head will fall off because if you want all you need to do is walk down the hall, see who is preing and go out and partay! also very central which is noice :D
Do not live here. Unless you really need to.
Really enjoyed Wilson House, great room sizes and nice kitchens
Very cheap relative to the south Kensington based halls and still in a very affluent area of London. Excellent facilities around Wilson such as 24 hour tesco, mcdonald's, burger king, KFC etc all within a 2 minute walk. Down side of the location is the 30 minute walk to college however it is aa pleasant walk through Hyde Park. Good social events so far during freshers week but this may change. Kitchens are generally clean but I did see a mouse at one point. WiFi is very fast but sometimes stops working so you have to turn your WiFi off and on again. Overall I would recommend Wilson house to any future imperial students
Very nice high ceilings (in the older houses), I have a quite a spacious room (I have seen some quite small ones and some very big ones). Kitchens are reasonably big with 2 ovens for 13 people but we only have one table. Kitchens and bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Staff are very understanding and nice to talk to. The only thing I would criticise is the amount of storage space in the kitchens and in the rooms (one more bookshelf would be appreciated).
The only minor downside to Wilson is the location (kind of), if you're looking to be close to campus. It's about a 30 minute walk from the South Kensington campus but on the other hand, it's also a 10 minute walk from oxford street, so for me, that's actually better than being near uni. All the kitchens are on the same floor so socialising between houses is great! Rooms are cleaned once a month and communal areas (kitchens and bathrooms) are cleaned at least 3 times a week. Rooms are modern and minimalistic (mainly white) so you can add your own touch! They're also a very good size. I wouldn't want to be in another hall.
