I've had a fantastic start to my year here. The rooms are cozy with plenty of storage, and the staff is always friendly and helpful, making the atmosphere really welcoming. Any issues that have arisen were quickly resolved. The location is ideal, just a two-minute walk from campus, which is incredibly convenient for students. It's definitely a great place to live while studying!

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Discriminatory Behavior and Disrespectful Treatment at Garage Accommodation As a resident of Garage Accommodation, I feel compelled to share my recent experience regarding the unacceptable behavior displayed by Zoe, the assistant manager. During a recent encounter, Zoe raised her voice towards one of my guests who has a fear of pets. Instead of showing understanding or empathy towards her fear, Zoe callously dismissed her concerns with the phrase "grow up." This response was not only disrespectful but also discriminatory, as it invalidated my guest's feelings and fears. My guest had gotten really upset and did not feel comfortable or safe to enter the accommodation. No one should feel belittled or discriminated against for expressing their fears or concerns, especially within their own accommodation. Staff Members should receive proper training in handling sensitive situations with professionalism and respect. This is not the first time I or others have encountered rude behaviour.
The new facilities in the new apartment are great. Love their public areas. I will recommend this apartment to freshmen, which is very convenient for classes.

I've been here for a couple of months now, and I am very impressed by the setting, and atmosphere at the Garage. You always feel welcome and at home when you arrive, and there are a wide range of activities offered. The services are also just as good, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go with private accommodation.

1 location just 2 mins walk to Royal Holloway and less than 20 mins walk to M&S ,Tesco. It`s convenient to get your daily necessities 2 service Kind staffs and professional service you will receive in there. Do not hesitate to asking for help 3 room This is a new opened accommodation ,so the facilities are all new and modern. Before you booked, you can tell the preferences to help choose a dream room. I booked a PRE-STUDIO ,the room is large enough and I can cook in this room. LOVE IT!
