Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Has your Vita student accommodation gone up by nearly 30% for next year? Are we paying for empty rooms? Inflation at an all time low and extra 30% is crazy, it should be less!
Refund your tenants during global pandemic like United Students, Liberty,Msv and IQ. If you continue to do ignore our requests ... we are gathering students to boycott this

I would highly recommend living here. Although you pay a little more, just know that it’s really worth it. Everyone is so helpful and always willing to help. Great service always.
MICHELLA is a great house keeping. So nice to meet her and help me clean the room. When I confuse the equipment, she also help me and make a report about the problem. A great house Keeping.
The vita student staff is absolutely amazing, they are always keen to help! I had the best experience in vita, living in a comfortable space was definitely the best to focus on my masters!! I would totally recommend it.
The location of the student accomodation was absolutely perfect as everything was within walking distance. To begin with we were offered social activities although being a mature student they weren't really that great and as the year went on the budget for the events got less and less. Some of the staff are absolutely lovely particularly Joe, Harry, Petra, Karen & Uchi; the others can be too sickly sweet and a bit patronising at times. Although the rooms are small they are quite nice although the soundproofing is absolutely dire. Unfortunately I had a loud, dirty mouthed, female neighbour who slept all day and was loud all night which wasn't very conducive for me (Master's student) as I had to cram all my work into one year and needed to actually get some work done. The last couple of weeks were terrible as everything was being changed over so we had nowhere to study!!!
The staff are absolutely amazing here and it just feels like my home. I would not live any where else even though some places are cheaper. They do everything for you so why would I leave!! Paul is the best there, he is always happy to help and always smiling. I love Vita.
I can say that this building is not all bad as they have spectacular social areas and facilities but still nowhere near worth the price.
