Example, my heater was broken for 3 months and it took a while for it to get sorted as a new one was needed. However, the social space is amazing and the gym section is brilliant if you need to get your last minute steps in.

Good overall view, facilities, location, and value for money
The room is not bad. But the worst thing is you can get the parcel only after 4pm while the others accommodation can get anytime of the days. Some of the staff ( especially night shift ) is always in the bad mood and behavior. When there’s any issue, it’s always take too long to solve the issue. It would be so great if all this problems can be solve or better within my stay.
I had the pleasure of spending my second year of university living in a studio at Lumis Student Living, and it was an absolute delight. After my first year in university halls, sharing an apartment with four other girls, moving to my Lumis studio was like a blessing in disguise. The studio quickly became my home away from home, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to live during my university years. One of the most impressive aspects of Lumis Student Living is the value for money. The price I paid for the studio was definitely worth it considering the quality of accommodation and amenities provided. The spacious rooms offered more than enough space to comfortably live and study, and the overall setup made it a perfect living environment. However, what truly sets Lumis apart from other accommodations is its incredible staff. The team, led by the manager Stevie, Fatima, and the security, Mo, along with the maintenance staff, Abid, were simply outstanding.

When booking, they informed me that we can change the living dates as you wish, and they also did not inform me that I need to have a guarandotor in the UK, even though they know that I am an international student. 14 days after booking, that is, when I can't get my deposit money back, they told me that the guarantee is not valid and they cannot change the dates for me, and when I asked for my money back, they did not give it back.
HORRIBLE. If you are a student looking to party and get no work/studying done then go here. People are loud and obnoxious and have 0 respect for others who live on their floor. You will not get proper sleeps here because of how loud everyone is.
Super recommended! My favourite thing about Lumis is the en-suite bathroom, which is modern and spacious, and most importantly spacious. Many of my friends' flats are the most spacious compared to Lumis'. The rooms are very well equipped, the oven and microwave are all in one! And there is plenty of storage space in the room, so you don't have to worry about having more stuff than you can fit in. The most important thing is that the flat has a free gym and yoga room, and of course there are other activity rooms such as a cinema room, games room, meeting room, billiard room, etc. Another reason why I chose Lumis was the 24 hour security, which gave me peace of mind. Reception is able to receive deliveries, once I forgot one of my deliveries had arrived, I went back 10 days later to pick it up and it was still there in perfect condition. Regarding the price, compared to other flats lumis is exceptionally good value for money! Delighted! Love it! Recommend!
This is my second year living at LUMIS and it has been great. All staff are really friendly and always super helpful. Although COVID has had an impact on the social aspect, pre-covid it was really fun - LUMIS provides really cool social spaces. Location is so convenient - a 5mins walk to uni/town and a 10mins walk from the train/coach station. The only let down would be the WiFi -can be quite slow at times which is a little frustrating.
Lumis Leicester student accommodation. Decent sized rooms en-suite nice touch in every room. Laundry room is accessible with a good amount of washers and dryers. The kitchen I spacious and parcels arrive fine. The staff are nice and maintenance is fast. However it should be said that the air smells dangerously of weed. Overall pleased.
It has been nice living at Lumis, I have enjoyed being here however the cleaning is not as regular as I would have assumed, I have had a stain on my carpet in front of my door for weeks now. The social aspect hasn’t been great due to COVID but other than that the staff are all mostly friendly and helpful. I have only had one bad experience when I was unable to receive a package as one of the staff had decided to go home 10 minutes early so I had to wait to the following Monday. The location is great literally a 5 minute walk from uni and the facilities are good.
I have lived at Lumis for 2/3 years now. I would say it is the best accomodation if you are studying at DMU.

A clean, modern accommodation with helpful staff. You get what you pay for. Very close to town, so lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The flats are spacious but homely and the rooms have so much storage.
Helpful staff, organised parcel / mail system and safety measures. Great designated social area. Suggestions: 1. have a designated drop off for visitors as it is hard to find parking in the area. 2. A better varied gym equipment and maybe expend - as it quite small.
Decent place to live, nice location due to covid not much of a social experience. Security is good, helpful office staff however parcels can only be collected week days from 1-5pm
Apart from the restrictions applied because of the pandemic Lumis has been a very nice place to live and the facilities available are of a high standard.

Lumis was my second accommodation option however it was a nicer place and worth the money In comparison to the other accommodation. Staff are very friendly and always go out of their way to ensure the environment is nice and clean as well as always decorating when there is holidays and events happening for example Valentine’s Day, Christmas and St Patrick’s Day and this personally always puts a smile on my face. Lumis also provides free refreshments and toiletries which isn’t common for accommodations. I strongly recommend Lumis to anyone who is looking for an accommodation in Leicester as it’s also close the town!
Glad I got to stay here for my first year. Loved the atmosphere of the accommodation; had lovely designed common areas and modern rooms. Everything worked, staff were always helpful, and it’s situated right opposite my campus. Anyone would definitely enjoy their stay here.
Lumis is the best accommodation ever for students who want to live organized life. Location is extremely convienent and safe(near to city,market,campus). The working & playing space is well managed, reception works really fast, in general in so good quality.

living at Lumis has been one of the most enjoyable parts of my university experiences. Everything here is so nice, it is clean, well furnished and modern and you are really able to feel at home here. it’s location is perfect for both Leicester universities and is also perfectly located near the city centre. The staff here are so kind and are always there to help with anything you need, even if it is just a chat! 10/10 would recommended choosing Lumis in Leicester.

Moved into a studio, was clean on arrival. Location is brilliant as it is a very short walk to the university. Nice social area and the WiFi was fast with good access to ethernet ports.

The best accommodation I have ever stayed in. I am living in a studio flat, and everything is modern and has a good interior. Well worth the money. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have everything you could possibly want such as a gym, cinema room, laundry, common spaces. I have already booked for next year!
Lumis Leicester is in an amazing location in Leicester located perfectly in between De Montfort university and the city centre. The social area are great with pool and table tennis available and with plenty of seating areas
For University of Leicester students its a bit of a walk to campus but for DMU students the location is perfect. Modern bedrooms and bathrooms, rooms and social spaces decent size. Access to gym and movie room included in price!
Lumis is situated perfectly in the city centre and is very very modern. My room was spacious and very comfortable. I didn’t have any major maintenance issues and the internet was fast and reliable. The social spaces were kept clean and hygienic. Due to the pandemic my social experience was affected however my flatmates were lovely.
Modern and stylish accommodation in a great location situated right next to the town centre and an easy commute to campus. Also, very clean around and inside the accommodation.
My experience has been great but the communal social areas couldn’t be used properly. Apart from that the building is nice and easy to navigate

The staff have been very communicative throughout this pandemic. Even though we haven’t been able to use the social spaces a lot, they are very nice and create a communal atmosphere!

Perfect customer service and maintenance
Wonderful, clean, and modern buildings with great set of facilities and outdoor spaces. Not directly on main road so not as noisy for road facing rooms. Great staff that accommodated for Covid19 really well and are super friendly!
