While Nash Grove has gained a bad reputation for being outdated and grimy, I feel it is a great accommodation and great location. With very spacious rooms and en suites with a double bed, I think I lucked out. The social space on each floor is a good size and also separate from the kitchens, which are also rather large and therefore good for cooking and storage. With only six people per flat, you develop very close relationships and is not as daunting of an experience when you first move in as a fresher in comparison to large 10-12 person accommodations. I love it and feel they should renovate each room rather than knock it down; with better management and maintenance, and renovations (such as changing the carpets/bathroom flooring and some appliances) I think this would be one of the most sought after accommodations. Many people who have visited me from other accommodations/elsewhere would agree and have expressed this opinion to me also.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Claims to be the 'quiet' accommodation and delivers. About 20 minutes from the city centre but only 4 minutes from your lecture theatres. Had a seperate living room and kitchen. Both very spacious. Nice sized room with double bed. Lovely view of the hills on the other side of the valley. Large wash room rather than seperate shower. The biggest desk you've ever seen. Only downside is laundry and post/reception was in a seperate building which wasn't great in the rain. Honestly no complaints really. You even avoid both forum hill and cardiac hill!
It’s not as social as I thought it would be. If you are looking to be really social choose other accommodatiom. The toilets and showers are always clean and rooms are a good size but the only annoying thing is people stealing food.
