Pros: About 10/15 min walk to main campus or a 15/20 minute bus to Kings Buildings on the 24 or the 41. One of the cheaper accommodations so reasonable price. Corner shop just across the road and Scotmid and Sainsbury’s near by. Nice area. Cons: Right next to two schools and the school kids are always coming round the back of the accommodation to mess about, smoke weed, destruct the property, try getting inside. Intercom never worked the whole time I was there. Freezing cold rooms in winter. Very small rooms with little storage so don’t bring too much. Not enough kitchen cupboard or fridge freezer space. Black mould grows easily in bedrooms and bathrooms. No common room. Only 2 washing machines for more than 100 people so always busy.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Avoid this accommodation! Some of the problems we had included mice, only 2 washing machines between over 100 people, kids from the high school across the road coming into our car park and smashing windows / scratching cars / smoking weed, no common room (we had to use one belonging to the accommodation down the road, which was sometimes locked), and the fact that everything kept breaking! Our oven door and kitchen fan didn’t work properly. The warden was rude. There are two buildings that make up this accommodation and the one you get shown when you sign the lease (103) is prettier on the outside and in the hallways than the other building you might end up in (108). But don’t think 103 is necessarily much better! Lots of the rooms in 103 have mould. For £515 per month you are NOT getting what you pay for.
Overpriced for tiny cramped rooms. Weird plastic on the matress.
Great for students who will be studying at King's Building - on the south side of the meadows so the bus is easy to catch and not too far a walk. Also really good for George Square (but lots of other places are too) - only 10ish minute walk across the meadows. No common room which can be a bummer but lots of social activities run with Warrender Park Crescent just down the road. Price is good, facilities are good and cleaning once a week so no complaints. Rooms are nice and warm - heaters work better than I've heard friends living elsewhere say about theirs. Close to shops and 20 minute walk to the gym. I'd recommend WPR to students.
Everybody here was really boring and it was a bit of a s****** tbh, cute though and I'll miss WPR
