Love the place never leave it very easy to get to on weekdays
Very good campus. I really like it - very new facilities for engineering
amazing, don't have a bad word to say about bower ashton
Overall the uni experience is really good better than what I had expected
The university facilities are extremely great with disability friendly options. The campus is huge and there are seats and table to study everywhere we go. Overall, great experience
enjoying day drinking at the su
Great university experience, love the campus
Ehhhh it's ok ig but wifi is really hard to log into and more clubs would be great
Good very good 10/10 bower is amazing
Great uni, long travel though.
Everything is amazing from the space of the rooms to the kitchen size and storage
Dece. Good rooms. Good kitchen. Good communal area. No one uses the tv in the communal area though!
Amazing, I love that it’s close to a castle.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, I made a lot of friends and had different experiences that will help me in my future career!
I can’t connect to the wifi but data works in most places
Overall good experience, with great facilities and technical support. Can't comment on Clubs and Societies as most of those are more active in Frenchay while I spent most of my time at Bower Ashton and Arnolfini. However, enough activities and things are going on most of the time.
Great experience and great campus
Great campus and lovely staff. My lectures are very organised.
No complaints in all honesty! WiFi was difficult to get into at first, but all sorted now!
When I first started university, I was received very politely. I thank the social clubs for their kind behavior.
Very fun had a good time so far
Campus distance from accommodation, providing free bus or largely reduced bus costs would help students life in this rising cost of living time
Very nice campus and good student support
Overall a really good university and you will never get bored; plenty of things to do!
The university and it’s staff are great
the wifi is very unreliable but other than that the campus is good
Its ok its alright ahhhhhhh :)
Dear Shaftesbury Hall Management, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful experience I had during my stay at Shaftesbury Hall. The accommodation and services provided exceeded my expectations in every way. I want to specifically highlight the outstanding support and cooperation I received from the staff members, Cery,Athena ,Cora and Piotr, their dedication and commitment to ensuring that all my needs were met were truly remarkable. They consistently went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. Their professionalism and helpfulness made a significant difference in my overall experience at Shaftesbury Hall. The facilities and cleanliness of the hall were exceptional, and I found the entire staff to be friendly and welcoming. The sense of community and security at Shaftesbury Hall further contributed to my peace of mind during my stay.
I am a third year student and am completely unsurprised that so many people end up dropping out. The University is unsupportive, the lecturers are useless and ill-informed about careers ('have you considered joining the military?' no, that's why I'm doing a specialised therapy degree). No resolution when grades aren't marked due to strikes. I wish I went to UoB. The management there might be slightly less belligerent... Unsupportive with disabilities, will do the absolute minimum to provide support. Wellbeing service is good. Disability support team are good. Unfortunately the lecturers are just insanely out of touch [even the ones under 50!]. Mad.
Really nice, great connections to industries.
I love UWE! Lovely place that really cares about the student voice!
Good campus and facilities dedicated to the arts!
Very nice relaxing campus, lovely staff and great opportunities
Frenchay is good location, with an easy commute
trauma lol but ok uni i guess 😘 x x x x x x x
Fantastic teaching staff, a shame the university seems disinterested in paying them a liveable wage.
Uwe is a great place to go to study and has a variety of subjects to choose from
As an art student I am based around Spike and Bower. My foundation year was good, staff were on board, made an effort. Was based at bower which has lots of facilities. Now I'm generally at Spike where we have this studio, which cramps all three years into the space. They accept way too many students and don't have the room for it, so it's not really possible to have your own permanent space to work on projects. And if you need facilities for a project, you have to travel to bower. Bower isn't far from spike but sometimes we would be required to go there for meetings and other times spike, it stresses people out getting to bower as it's quite far out. It makes sense to have a permanent meeting spot at spike and use bower on our own terms. But because there's not enough room at spike some days, they can't do that. The course so far has been ok, but honestly not a lot happens, we need more interact tasks to mix with peers. Communication seems quite poor between staff and students sometime
Best Filmmaking course I could have ever wished for.
Got nothing to say about it It was good
My overall experience of use is a good one. I have 2 law degrees from yse bud sadly my experience of their physician associate course was dire, so much so that the lecturers were commonly gaslighting students. I was given a full refund of tuition fees and my complaint against 2 female staff was upheld.
UWE is a great institution with good facilities. very happy with course and the services they provide. makes for a efficient place to study and develop as a young individual
UWE has lots of clubs and societies to join, great opportunities to meet new people. UWE offers lots of undergraduates and postgraduates courses and the professors and great and passionate about the subjects
Good uni, had a positive experience so far and enjoy my lectures
The university is a very nice friendly place to be
Needs improvement for Bower Ashton Students, needs more engagement.
UWE one of the best Uni in UK with State of the art Engineering Department sharing with well prestigious universities in the Russell Group such as Uni Bristol and Bath
UWE Bristol is a modern university which is clean and easy to navigate. The staff are friendly and helpful and are in touch with you frequently. I would highly recommend to a friend.
Great, some seminars are childish and menial but everything else is great
The facilities on campus are good, the food is great, lecturers are helpful and available to talk, the campus itself is large and diverse with spaces to sit down near everywhere, very rarely gets backed up with lots of people.
it’s alright, haven’t spent much time on campus because of this “blended learning” but from what i saw it was decent
UWE is alright, it is average in every way. Everything is just about acceptable. The teaching is very good but everything else is highly average.
Idéal place for automotive student
The campus is a perfect size and there are many facilities around so it really is quite convenient. Lecturers are a hit or miss, but overall they provide good support (Speaking from a Business BA pov)
Nice uni the online stuff it’s terrible
Average university. I do business and events management and the business facilities are pretty good.
I fully not recommend this university, totally s*** and wastage of money. They don't understand the students problems, they just only need money that's it. Please do not get admission in this ridiculous university.
Rlly nice people who go here. Annoying the SU is closed on the weekends. The course is good but some of the lecturers are not great.
I still haven't explored the whole university and do not have enough time to attend the activities held in the last two months. But I'm pretty sure that I feel supported and convenient when I access the facilities of the university. The staff of the university is brilliant as well. I love this place and appreciate what the university and staff have done for us.
UWE has great facilities. Even the other 2 Universities in Bristol, have their students use the facilities at UWE (Robotics for example). Clubs are great and always up to something, even through the weekdays. I haven't eaten much around campus, however would definitely like some affordable daily coffee.
It’s been very good so far other than the accommodation services as they didn’t help when I had no where to stay
The uni has a vibrant main campus with everything you need all in one place. Accommodation options on campus are very limited and can be expensive.
The student union is one of the best places on campus and gets very involved with events and everything
Small campus. But people there are nice and friendly.
The campus is big and it is.hard.for students to find.the.exact.building.or room
I like this university and i hope it will be better
Really good, Love the Facilities and the student union
The staff are amazing and the course I am doing is the best!
UWE buildings are sexy and not 3000 years old
Not the real Uni experience, no use of faculities no socialising hasuishswjjsjssj
UWE has been really helpful throughout this app past year, constantly checking up on us to make sure we’re doing alright on our course during this weird time of Covid. Although our year has been mainly online I’ve felt quite supported throughout.
I think overall for the uni everything are quite good
UWE make a great act of caring and being the best, but when you really do end up needing help and assistance they toss you to the side and force you through the most purposely painfully long corrupt system possible. If you’re on frenchay campus uwe will be a good university. If you’re on Glenside (allied health professions) don’t even bother. The halls are awful, the department is shambles. You’ll be made to feel like you don’t matter to anyone. Oh and, especially AVOID Sports rehabilitation.
Because of the COVID-19, lots of face to face activities are cancelled. That's sad.
It’s great and easy to get to school. Although places will cost more energy, it’s fine.
very good! I like it very much!
Great university and great experience here
undergrad for business, top tier level with latest facilities
The lecturer are alight. Some of them are good but some of them are really really bad. They come to lecture without preparation. The UWE itself isn’t organised. They attached old regulations with the marks which misguided me. When I raised the issue, they agreed that it was wrong but didn’t compensate me for their mistake. Why would anyone study in a university where their regulations are not accurate or misguiding. On top of everything, student has to suffer for their mistake. I lost first class honours because of universities mistake. I appealed for my marks as I thought it was unfair on me. They rejected my appeal. They updated their regulations but didn’t compensate my loss. If I wasn’t misguided because of their regulations or I wasn’t supposed to be misguided or if it is my fault that I got misguided then why did they update the regulations. Seriously guys, save yourself from UWE. I have ruined my 3 years already. Don’t ruin yours. University is expensive so chose wisely
It is so beautiful that we can have a good experience.
Terrible service from a terribly run institution. Lack of organisation has resulted in many issues amongst my cohort ranging from lecturers not knowing how to answer questions based on what they are teaching, wrongly published marks- creating false hopes then completely demoralising you, timetables being issued one day before the start of a semester, the list can go on. Since I started my degree I have had to deal with countless issues such as parking to get to my lectures and being penalised as their car parks are packed to the brim. Communication during Covid-19 has been terrible also, no sense of care towards students, all they care for is getting money in the bank. Very quick to issue fines and chase up outstanding payments, but trying to get help is a mission in itself. I would not recommend UWE to anyone after 3 years studying with them. And to pay £9,250 as well is just a joke.
Teaching is Great, facilities are nice. Overall the campus has really good vibes. But the support staff are absolutely useless, it's like they don't even care. Honestly if you have problems with anything that can't be helped just by your lectures then you are royally screwed. Also if you have any mental health issues, go private or off campus,
Staff are wonderful and friendly. However have not participated in the student union, careers service or clubs and societies.
Love my uni campus! Great experience for my first year:)
During my first year in UWE Bristol I had a brilliant time in my course as there was always help from staff as well as there being really good facilities.
I studied at Bower Ashton Campus and even though at times I wanted to drop out, I have super fond memories of the place. I graduated with a first class degree and couldn’t have loved my lecturers and peers more. Super helpful staff, such a lovely city to explore and the nightlife is A+ (Thekla Thursday will kill you)!
the uni does well for its students
Excellent university with great help
I’ve had a very good experience so far in University.
Great university, easy to get there if you live in the city centre and there are many support especially the wellbeing support team, the learning system is good as well, with different resources
Good university with a lot of bus services
I think the university has done well
Students union is a joke. As a society member they take all our money and don’t help us out at all.
The university has fantastics facilities, accomondation as well as welcoming staffs and students!
Location of the school is a little bit further from city centre. By the staff there are always supportive.
It’s a great school and it’s been a great experience
Awesome campus, it doesn’t feel empty or alone unlike UoB. There is a stronger sense of community here than most campuses. The prices at the student shop are a bit overpriced as there was inflation. The food served at Onezone has also improved, and the subway was a solid addition. Unfortunately I won’t be around to enjoy the new engineering building which is absolutely amazing.
Nice environment. Most staffs are friendly.
good facilities new buildings aswell and free printing
A pretty dead university with minimal facilities compared to others
