I love it at Studio 58! The property staff (an all new team this year!) are always super nice and willing to help. The internet is really fast (I have never had a problem), the location is great as it’s so close to all the shops, and the room is really nice! Lots of storage space and the kitchen has everything I need! Especially since the scaffolding went a few months ago, the property is perfect! On-site maintenance is so helpful, as if there’s a problem in my room someone can come and fix it within a few days.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Prices have continued to rise to insane levels over the last few years (£233/wk for Premium in my first year, £293 for Classic in my 2nd) despite the fact the building was last refurbished in 2008 and modernisation under the new management has been delayed by years - the justification being that "the Bristol housing market can take it." Personally, I couldn't, which is one of the reasons I left after 2 years stay, with the other being that I did NOT enjoy my last 8 months of living and taking online exams in a building site. The majority of staff also couldn't take it as I saw 3 assistant managers come and go, and Nikki (previous main manager-bear this in mind when you see reviews singing her praises) moved to a new property in March. The internet is extremely fast (1Gbit from the wall!), the building is well located for UoB and the communal spaces are good but ultimately even at last year's pricing I feel like I have been majorly ripped off. This place should not be your first choice.
I pay £340 a week and it is a stinky s******, my room is falling apart and we live in a construction zone that just keeps getting pushed back, now I am losing my bay window and having ‘privacy screens’ for ages, not sure why I’m paying £1360 a month for no sunlight nd constant building work. The only amazing asset to this building is Nikola the property manager, if it wasn’t for her that place should be burnt to the ground, she keeps that place running and keeps everyone feeling okay about being f***** over by the maintenance and homes for students 15 times a day, not sure how she deals with the fact H4S are liars who keep promising us that times are changing and we won’t live in a construction zone, but then decide ‘sorry we’re building another building instead of fixing your leaking ceilings, burnt smelling radiators, limited sunlight from scaffolding, or building another building instead of fixing our broken front door which is allowing local crackheads to break in ❤️Nikola is a god
I am resident of studio 58 Bristol this year, My room number is flat63. The living environment of studio 58 is really make me worry about the further life living in there. The apartment was not being renovated at this time, and the scaffolding placed on the exterior of the apartment for the renovation was not removed. Not only does this increase the likelihood of illegal persons jeopardizing the safety of the property, but it also flouts the safety of the residents. Besides, because of the randomly placed scaffolding, students were unable to open windows for ventilation and were unable to survive the stifling heat inside and the indoor lighting is also impaired.I can’t sleep in this situation . The corridor still going through the painting procedure. The toxic smell it cause would damage the health of everyone who live in this apartment. And as far as l known, these works should be done before March,it’s almost September, why there are still many rubbish and scaffolding the garbage in t
Hey there, I wanted to address the concerns you raised regarding the living conditions at our accommodation. Your feedback is important to us, and we take all concerns seriously. We understand that you may have some preconceived notions, but it's important to note that we are dedicated to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant living environment for all our residents. In light of this, we want to assure you that we are actively working to address any issues to the best of our ability. Regarding the rubbish issue you mentioned, it's true that we recently had 99 students check out, which resulted in a higher demand on our bins than usual. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This was resolved in under a day, with just a few staff members. We have arranged for additional collections and are in the process of re-cleaning and repainting the binstore area to ensure a cleaner and more organized space for everyone. Regarding the painting of the corridors – we would like to highlight that our professionals are using water-based paint only which are safe and will not cause any damages to anybody's health. In response to the scaffolding works, we are actively working on improving the situation – please note that we have already communicated this matter with our residents on multiple occasions and we let everyone know what's happening. We are taking all steps to ensure that all students receive timely updates and information related to the scaffolding works. Our goal is to keep you informed and to address any questions or concerns you may have. Additionally, we are working closely with the wider team responsible for this project to expedite the process and minimize any disruptions to your daily activities. We understand that these works can be inconvenient, and we are exploring various solutions to make the situation more manageable for everyone. Rest assured that we are committed to resolving these issues promptly and that we have everything under control. We understand that moving into a new accommodation can be a bit overwhelming, and we want to assure you that our team is here to assist and support you every step of the way. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further concerns or if you need any assistance when you do check in. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we will continue to work diligently to meet and exceed your expectations. Best wishes, Studio58 Team ☺

I had a short stay (roughly a month, not so short in fact haha) in Bristol as my summer trip, luckily studio58 had a room available for short term rental at the time, so I stayed there. The house is quite spacious and my premium studio room also has a very, very large window nook area, large enough for a table and a tea set, as well as for two people to sit on and have a relaxing afternoon tea. The location is very convenient, there is a tesco downstairs (tho the prices kept going up day after day so I usually opt for the Lidl in city centre), but anyway that's another point, it's very close to the city centre, you can walk there in about 4 or 5 minutes. To be honest I was most surprised by the reception, they were very very friendly and definitely the friendliest + most helpful receptionist I have ever met!
