Amazing experience. I am extremely satisfied and happy to have studied here
The facilities of the University of Bath is fairly old. The library is mostly dirty and loud. The others elements are great.
So far so good nothing need dot be improved
Uni is unreal. There’s everything you could need on campus and more, you certainly make friends for life! Nightlife in Bath is better than people might think, lots of events happening!
Excellent uni with facilities, opportunities and graduate aspects for students
Right up there as one of the UK’s leading institutions. Sensational facilities on a beautiful hillside campus with modern, technologically advanced buildings in a world heritage city.
Large campus. Excellent facilities, also Olympic size swimming pool. Easy to get to the city centre. Convenience hall of residence on campus. Great lecturers and attentive admin staff. I loved my time there.

good to have sufficient microwaves and social space
Campus is nice, should have more study areas
There is very little support for student. I have not experienced this university having good care for its student and often leaves then completely in the dark. It is very poorly organised with next to no guiding of students.
I think the career services centre is a fantastic place for students to learn and improve their employability, including all kinds of extracurriculum activities and workshops.
The best university for people who want to work hard and succeed in life. Excellent campus and social life. The whole studying atmosphere makes you want to crave for more knowledge.
Great uni with brilliant courses, facilities and societies. Only let down by bus service and anything else the SU touches.
It was my best student life ever, even though I just did one year master
On my course (Maths) teaching has been poor. I feel like I am paying £9k for some PDFs on moodle, which are usually riddled with factual errors and spelling mistakes. Often these “lecture notes” are directly lifted from the Internet. I have found that I must learn most of the course from YouTube and other internet sources since the explanations are so lazy. For most of the lecturers it is very obvious that they do not want to teach, but that teaching is an irritation which gets in the way of their research. Even worse, lecturers on my course often rename well-known equations or principles to what they think they should be called, which makes it harder to learn the course from the internet. Some of the lectures are recorded but not all which can be frustrating, however the lectures are usually so devoid of quality content, this is not a big miss. In terms of the University as a whole, the SU is lacking, the bus services are poor and the mental health support is non-existent.
Great uni most helpful staff and really welcoming atmosphere, much more approachable attitude than any other university I’ve encountered
Great uni, slightly ugly campus. Invest more in music and drama, as well as continuing investing in sport.
Only complaints are the differences between quality of accommodation; prices of food on campus; and library
Really nice uni with great team building throughout the studies and good facilities, labs and sport clubs.
Really friendly atmosphere with well driven i dividuals who are highly motivated
In terms of inclusivity and accessibility, do not keep your hopes up!
Great uni, I’ve had a brilliant time here, only issue is the bus routes into and from town
Campus is so warming and welcoming facilities and academics are outstanding
Great uni, course is great, good about mental health and strong on sexual harrasment issues. Good range of clubs too
I was exactly the type of person you would expect to love and thrive at university. Bath sucked the life out of me - terrible bureaucratic institutions, lazy teachers, horrifically ugly campus and a total lack of support from anyone independently minded both socially and academically. Made me totally depressed being at Bath but just stuck it out for 3 years as the piece of paper I got at the end of my degree is far more important than my own enjoyment. Wish I'd done better in my A levels and taken a place at Durham or St Andrews - they are in a totally different league to Bath.
5/5 all round, fantastic university experience with quality of teaching.
Uni campus was beautiful. Some lecturers were incredibly intelligent and useful (Dr James turner, Dr James Betts and Dr Abby Tabor). The facilities were fantastic & I lived in Quads, which was great. But the general feel of mental health support etc and security of halls, not great at all. They “roamed” every night, but security didn’t stop much like drugs etc which wasn’t nice for people like me who didn’t do anything like that +’wanted to sleep. I also couldn’t get any support during the night for depression etc, as nightline wasn’t very useful.
All in all very positive experience. Facilities, faculty, and general lifestyle in bath are all fantastic. Students Union is pretty lacklustre but at least they try.
Amazing place to study and live, like nowhere else in the UK.
It is the best university for any student. The experience here offers the best balance between study and personal life.
The university is very good with a stronger emphasis on placements and vocational skills. However the city is expensive, busses are often poor which decreases my overall student satisfaction
I love it here! Wonderful city, fab university.
A truly outstanding education with worldleading research and facilities
Really good uni with great support in all areas
The University has been a key role in helping my academic pursuits but also has a lovely atmosphere. There are so many societies to join and you'll always run into someone you know. There are lots of developments in the university (e.g., cafes) which make it an enjoyable place to study or anything else.
Nice wifi Great facilities Free swimming pool
It's ok. In hindsight I should've picked a city university.
The bestttt I really like it❤️❤️
I've only just started an MSc in Psychology at Bath but have found the staff to be extremely caring and keen; the facilities fantastic and the welcome very warm indeed. A lovely start.
It's a beautiful place and I am proud to be a student here.
Makes you feel so welcome, feels like home straight away
I truly love my time at Bath. Happiest days of my life so far, and that’s just due to the social side. The professors are lovely and often hard working and clearly care a lot about their students.
Amazing university, great choice
Best university in terms of academia, student life and job opportunities.
compact campus, not pretty but handy. student union on the small side but some good events and deals there.careers very good
Great teaching balanced with a healthy sport focus and social life.
I had the best three years of my life at the University of Bath. Kind, friendly and supportive staff and students. Sports teams and societies that I consider my extended family and a beautiful location to live and study. The only negative is that I wasn't there long enough.
Amazing, course, support and campus
Very friendly campus with a chilled out atmosphere but strong work ethic at the same time.
Bath has been a great university for me. Academics aside, the clubs and societies available are incredible, and there’s a real sense of community at the uni. The facilities are great, and constantly being upgraded. I’m very glad I chose bath.
It’s average. Definitely a let down. My department is underfunded and overlooked.
Really great place to do everything
Even if I had to re-apply now I would still choose Bath as my first choice. I had the best experience as a fresher this year and had the time of my life. Met amazing new people and got lots of help and feedback from professionals on my course and myself in times of crisis.
I love this university. It was the best decision ever to come here. The environment is incredible, the staff are amazing and the support services are really well suited to all kinds of issues.
Everyone on Campus is friendly and approachable.
Probably the best thing that could have happened to me! Never been so content about a decision
Fantastic university. Underrated in the league tables.
A fantastic University with great facilities and staff, set in one of the most beautiful cities on earth.
Poor parking facilities for coaches bringing people from all over the country no realistic idea of the problems caused for the drivers who have long journeys to try back and need areas to park so they can have their legal driving breaks year in year out same problems yet again coaches parking on side lanes in small Leigh boys with no toilet facilities of eating facilities poor show Bath
perfect course, great experience, thank you
I did a one year masters course here and was really surprised by the faculty's attitude towards students which at best was a lack of concern and at the worst was one of disdain and outward annoyance. The entire course was plagued by administrative gaffs with our department head unable to cope with the mounting number of problems (one of which was unprofessional and inappropriate supervisor behavior) This resulted in the administration blaming an entire cohort of students in an attempt to sweep problems under the rug rather than solve them. Even so the supervisors that they assign for research projects are also wildly unsupervised which can leave you either in a great lab where you learn a lot to an experience one student had where her supervisor threatened to kick her out of the course for being uncomfortable with killing conscious mice. If you're going to spend money on your education, you might as well make it count by going somewhere else
Really lovely environment with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Fantastic sports facilities.
Apart from the fields surrounding the main university campus, it has to be up there with one of the ugliest campuses in the UK. If students weren't to see the league tables and choose based on looks, I guarantee a large amount of students wouldn't apply. The main "Parade" is gloomy and wind tunnel-esque and when you look around you see big concrete blocks which you'll have the pleasure of studying in for the next three (or four) years. The single library isn't big enough to accommodate the students which need to use it and there is no where else to really do work unless you want to work in one of the noisy campus eateries, which are overpriced and have generally poor quality food (however I do rate the beef chilli, just the right amount of spice and good ratio of meat to sauce.) The Students Union is small and offers very little in terms of somewhere to go with your mates and you'll find yourself bored in there in ten minutes or so.
The accommodation off campus is overpriced and of poor quality.
SO far very good. The only complaint is the gym because it is open to the public as well and not only students, it gets too crowded. Regarding sports, Bath has literally everything for everyone. You can be doing skeleton and salsa dancing while having boxing on Sundays, right after rowing.
Good uni, good social life, great for sports.
Seriously tame and small uni, quite a trek out of the city - which is defo a town and not a city - night life and social life lacking. Not for those from big cities or like places with a buzz. Found it difficult to make friends, not that everyone was horrible but just weren't really like me! I know it is well loved by others though
Brilliant university, would highly recommend
Fun and friendly atmosphere, plenty to do around campus, great sports facilities and very accessible via public transport.
Lovely town, great university and great campus. Love the fresh supermarket, which has absolutely everything and even a post office. Love the Asian food section, home is just a few steps away!
As a first year, I absolutely love the University of Bath. The campus is beautiful, the clubs and societies provided are amazing full of amazing students. Everyone is so friendly and intelligent, it is very easy to fit in quickly. The only problem I can think of with the university is that the library is often full and it can be difficult to find a space especially near exams, however there are many other places suitable for quiet studying all around the campus.
Great, small campus so it's easy to get to lectures.
Campus is a bit dull but the SU and nights out are fairly good and a decent price. Not enough societies though.
Wifi needs to be improved major
Very active student union, with a wide range of clubs and societies. Facilities such as medical centre are of poor quality
Sports facilities are first class. In regards to clubs/societies, if there isn't the one you want, it is very easy to make a new one. The SU doesn't seem to actually do much but what's in the building is very good. Wifi is good despite the stick it gets from people. The careers services seem to be relentless which is exactly what you want!
Overcrowded. That's all I can say. The facilities are great, but at busy periods it's near impossible to use them. The gym is always full, making the membership completely not worth it. It's always a struggle to find a spare seat at the library. The WiFi does not reach all bedrooms.
Bath has been amazing so far, im in westwood which is the party place to be, there's always stuff to do!
Great overall but lacks in nights out
Fantastic university, would definitely recommend to friends and all of those who think about applying
It's great, sociable but not too noisy if you want to work. Big social areas and cleaners come 2 times a week
Not satisfied. Terrible accommodation.
The SU, library and gym need expanding to allow for the expanding number of students in the uni. However the societies and clubs organise many events and the overall environment of the campus is safe and friendly
The university provides everything needed to feel like living in a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment.
Campus is great, as everything is compact
Great campus. Good bars and restuarants.
Needs more accommodation and a lower limit on people needed for a society for more varied societies.
Some clubs only take place during lectures
Really great facilities and loads of different things to be part of
The WiFi sometimes drops out, but generally it's got pretty good coverage. The careers service are always emailing to offer opportunities. The SU has deals every night and is pretty cheap anyway.
Prestigious university, excellent atmosphere and only 20 minutes to the city center.
Good balance of academia and socializing that would not be found at Oxbridge.
Wifi could be better in places as it doesn't always connect
The University offers great facilities on campus. Though sometimes expensive, the clubs and societies are great and offer great opportunities to continue or pick up a sport or hobby, to socialise and make the most of uni life. The Student Union is very involved and works constantly to improve the student life experience. Wifi on campus is very good on the Parade and in the buildings. Students are presented with plenty of opportunities to meet future employers and develop their skills to buff their CV.
Love love love the campus, it's so pretty, and small so only takes 10-15 minutes to walk from one side to the other. The facilities are great; there's everything you could need on campus and what it doesn't have can be accessed easily in the city (10 mins on the bus) or delivered! There is a massive range of societies, particularly sports ones, but also some completely different ones too. I adore both the Bath Uni campus and the city of Bath - it's a great place to be!
University is compact and faculties are thoughtful placed at specific part of the Uni however it is far from the residential area and town so commuting(if you are year 2 above) can be pain in the ass
Top notch sport and SU; good range of clubs; internet is very good when connected, but it can but out for 30 seconds every so often
Campus is brilliant, not too small that everyone is in your face and not large that islt takes a long time to get to and from lectures.
Eduroam cuts out all the time but other than that everything's great
