My time at University hall was not great. If you are wondering about the catering it is disgusting definitely make sure you have snacks in your room. The staff are nice and helpful.

A nice atmosphere and loving committee. Despite recent loss of social spaces due to maintenance, the committee and staff managed to keep the reputation. Very good location for science students, and only a 10 minute walk for the arts departments.
It's awesome, the people are awesome, and the free vodka is awesome
Everyone was so very lovely. The hall was clean, fresh and bright. The food was really good, and it was so close to the science buildings it made my life very easy.
i love being a jock here @ uni hall
These rating categories don't adequately represent the ways in which Uni Hall is the best. It has the best atmosphere/community feel, is the perfect size (not too small so you don't have enough people to choose the perfect friends from, and not too big that you feel lost in the crowd). It's also nice that it's a little bit away from the noisiness of town, and gives your legs a good stretch.
Good location, decent facilities, nice libraries and good size, community feel but not claustrophobic. V pretty on outside too
The food wasnt good and the 25 minute walk to campus and town was less than ideal.
Wardens are the absolute best ever, saved my life and still amazing to talk to. Definitely the best hall.
the food is diabolical and the meal times bar lunch are at very inconvenient times. Food is also repetitive and staff ( BAR THE CLEANERS!!) are not very friendly !!!
Absolutely best hall and hall environment to be in! Everyone is so fun and amazing! The wardens are amazing and the location is prime!
University Hall was a great place to live. The sense of hall spirit was strong and the warden team were amazing at supporting students as they adjusted to student life. The Hall management team were also incredible at keeping the hall well run and clean.
In general, a nice and social hall in a good location (especially to the physics, chemistry & management building as it's right next to them). I was in Wardlaw which is girls only. It's a beautiful building but can get quite cold in winter. The rooms, howerver, are spacious and every room is different. In addition, the bathrooms are big and there are 2-3 on each floor. Rooms in Lumsden are warm but not as nice and a bit smaller. In Old Wing again every room is unique and most have washbasins.
University Hall was okay, it was nice being in the middle of all the other halls but it was quite unsociable. Almost resembled a boarding house.
Honestly, it's just ok. It's better than DRA/Albany Park/Fife Park location-wise, but I wouldn't say the people here are "fantastic." Common rooms are pretty nice and the cleaners are good, but the wardens/ janitorial staff are lukewarm at best, not so nice, if I'm being honest. Wi-fi can be bad in some rooms, I want to say Old Wing probably is the weakest? Food is pretty bad, and worst part is probably the distance, if you've any classes in Younger Hall/ Buchanan Theatre, be prepared to WALK.
The hall is in a good location for the science building but is a little further from all the buildings in town, the food is good, but the wifi is quite slow in places.
Bit out of town (but not the worst by far), great food, good sized rooms with tons of character, wonderful staff and Wardennial team and the BEST hall spirit- oh uni hall IS wonderful!
Stayed in Lumsden Wing for a year. It was great! My room was warm and cozy- no spiders or other pests were ever found. The food was great; and I loved the bathroom facilities. The kitchen was OK- not a fan of the electric stoves. The only downturns were the creaky bed(not a standard thing within the hall) and the occasional noise (I was living above main entrance).
Friendly, full of good facilities and virtually next door to most of the science facilities (not much further to the arts buildings either!)
I met a lot great friends here, the showers are the best in town and it's SO WARM but the cleaners are all really rude, the food isn't great and you're constantly battling with other people for communal space.
Great location, nice facilities, good community
