Truly awful experience, there were rats in our kitchen FOR MONTHS and when reported (from the start of the academic year) was told “we’re looking into it”, wasn’t until around March that it actually got sorted. In between this, I had several meetings with the accommodation team, to be told “we’ve not had any reports of this, are you sure you saw it?” They only seem to care if you’re in a senior resident’s block, which I wasn’t. 3 people out of 5 complained about mould in the rooms. My radiator was broken for ages, so my room was like a freezer, which resulted in me getting ill and when I returned was told “because your room is on the outside, it’s fine for it to be cold” and was then told “you can just buy a draught excluder”. As of writing this, there is now an ant infestation, which presumably won’t be sorted either. You couldn’t get me to stay here again, even if YOU payed ME. Save your money and live on the street, because it’ll be safer and cosier than these prison cell rooms

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

This is my opinion in for 2 years in a row. The 440 pounds are not worthy at all for a small space and noisy. I say noisy because you literally can hear anything such as people next door talking, theres almost zero privacy in this halls. The worst thing is the flats with 10 rooms are unhuman with 1 shower, 1 toilet, and 1 bathroom with both included. We only have 2 fridges medium size for 10 people who usally cook. On my first year i thought it was the best thing, but you will get tired. Sadly, many people stay here for the money but still to expensive for what it is. Social space is the front door where everyone smokes or in the ugly kitchen during friday and saturdays. Good thing is the brook street is in the center of high wycombe and close from university.
Cons: The rooms are tiny and feel like prision cells. The fire alarm goes off every single day Too many people in the flats (8) (sometimes even during the night). The cleaning ladies don't really do much. In my experience at least, most of the people on my course lived in hughenden. Really noisy Pros: It's opposite a bus station and the Eden shopping centre. 3 minute walk from Sainsbury's and 7 minute walk from Tesco and Morrisons. Cheapest accommodation. I'd recommend to go to Hughenden tbh, it's a bit more expensive and not as close to university but I'd say it's worth it.

Very social and close to the university. Perfect halls for bucks new uni and best value for money in the area!
I was in a block away from the others so it was harder to socialise with people, my room was damp, our heater was broken boiler ducktaped together, basically the halls was a joke how they expect people to live there I don't know, some flats were completely infested with bed bugs too
Hall located in the middle of the town center. Feels like a prision inside the accomidation.
Only gets annoying when you don't want to go out, and the entire flat does and spends 4 hours screaming their heads off. But otherwise it's a pretty nice living space, with privacy etc
The best year of my life. People were lovely great location in town and near uni
Cheap, but very much part of the community and only 5 minutes from anywhere
Absolutely amazing place to live! Full of character and amazing people, made some truly life long friends there!
So much fun - you get what you pay for, definitely the best halls for the social aspect
Rooms were like prison cells with breeze blocks. However had a fantastic experience here, socially speaking. Made great friends and made the best of what we had. Very much enjoyed living at this halls, but the rooms could be updated. Also, there was no wifi which was just annoying.
Incredibly lively halls, which has its pros and cons. Location is perfect-can be at uni in 4 minutes walking and in the town centre in 5.
Not worth what I paid considering my house I live in now is cheaper and miles better.
It's pretty cheap, and I guess it is pretty basic, but you meet the best people and it's so close to uni.
