Would recommend Champneys Court! Rooms are a really good size for student accommodation in Oxford. Staff and maintenance were always quick with responding to issues -when a major appliance broke in our kitchen it was replaced within a week. Accommodation is pretty quiet for the most part and even though it faces a fairly busy road. Location is good, 5 minute walk to the shops, bus stop etc and about a 20 minute walk to Headington campus. Kitchens are a bit on the small side but adequate and there is plenty of fridge/freezer space. Only downside is you can't really have parcels delivered there. Also, really appreciated how the COVID-19 situation was handled by A2Dominion!

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
The location is absolutely perfect and the price is great for 50 weeks. However I am constantly disappointed in management. My bathroom fan was making clicking noises and wouldn't turn off and it took them a month to get someone to check it out in person, after 2 weeks of not responding to my emails. My flat's hallway light is constantly on and definitely not motion activated like they say it is, and they disregarded my flatmates and I when we asked they sort it out. The laundry has only ONE washer and ONE dryer and it ONLY takes coins. There are 40+ people in this accommodation and all of us are broke uni students who do not have cash on them - not to mention that one load is about £9 total. Most importantly is that I currently have some sort of animal in my walls and when I tried to call reception, nobody picked up even though it was 3pm on a Wednesday, so definitely within hours. When I finally got through they said that they would send pest control NEXT THURSDAY. this is ridiculous
The room has many spatial quality to put more furnitures since the desk and drawers is average size only. Toilet/restroom is fine enough. Overall the room is quite clean. Kitchen just large enough for 5 people as the common sharing area that's a good common area for flatmates to have meal and talk. Office services are quite high efficiency.

* Champneys Court review * (September 2018-June 2019 academic year) Price Considering the prime location just walking distance from Headington shops, connectivity to Oxford city centre via multiple buses, reliable WiFi (both Eduroam and Brookes WiFi), a laundry room, and what I consider as luxurious, in terms of personal room space, Champneys Court is definitely value for money for students who want to remain in student accommodation in Oxford, but do not wish to fork out exorbitantly, as they would have to, for halls run by, say Unite Students. Living Experience Windmill Road is a generally quiet and calm neighbourhood, due to Champneys Court being situated around non-student residences. Although, if you are occupying a room facing the street, sounds from traffic passing by may be a bother to some of you, it has not really been a problem for me personally. Cleaning Reliable cleaning services weekly. Admin and Staff A2Dominion support staff have all been very helpful throughout.
I lived at Champneys for 2 academic years. The flats are really nice to live in and in a great location to get to campus and the main city centre/Cowley. Our cleaner wasn’t the best as he freuqently rearranged our kitchen despite it being tidy & often used dirty mop water to clean our floors. Maintenance was always very timely, helpful & sorted any problems we had. The main office staff were generally quite nice. One issue we had was with a failing boiler leaving us with no heating and hot water for 5 days in the winter when it was snowing.
The A2Dominion is great and the Edna Rose Court is the best accommodation I ever had. I really appreciate all the kindness, help and support that I received from the Staff in the Sinnet Court Office. They are extremely professional and helpful.
Excellent location for nursing students for walking distance to the both the university's and the three hospital locations for placements. Very close to bus stops. Cleaner onsite very regular. Kitchen is a very good size for the amount of students who share the flat. Very quiet halls and this helps with coursework. Close to shops. My room is a generous size. Only one issue with internet and this was dealt with very quickly, as was all other issues. Quick response with emails from hall manangement team and hall wardens. I have been very happy here and this means a lot for my student experience. .
This is a great student accommodation in Headingtion. The location is perfect as there is a high street 2 mins walk away and all the main bus routes go through the high street including buses to Heathrow and Gatwick. The bedrooms and bathrooms are decent sized unfortunately the only communal area is the kitchen which is small. The wired internet is super fast but eduroam wifi will always be eduroam.
The kitchen and the bedrooms are huge. Loved the kitchen the most as it is nice and airy with lots of space for people to move around. Found cleaning service to be lazy and unreliable sometimes in my last year but the scope of cleaning is usually good. Management works quickly when reported a repair so there are not many difficulties. Location is the best with shops and major bus stops close by and university is at a few minutes walk. There are parks for recreation activities nearby so that was a bonus for me.
Great location if you are studying nursing as next door to two of oxford hospitals. Recently refurbished and good value for money. No area to sit other then in kitchen however bedrooms are HUGE. Cleaning is good but the cleaner isnt always reliably there every time they should be. Flagged with hall office who were really quick at dealing with this and repairs. Short walk to uni and you can pick up all major bus routes from the headington high street.
No other common areas apart from a kitchen but rooms are decent and the wifi is good!
