Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
It is not a good WiFi keeps going on and off and also there are no near grocery
The staff can be helpful at times, but there have been many instances where problems have been reported, but no one has come to see/fix them. The location is tricky as the buses are quite full, coming out of Fallowfield, but otherwise there are things accessible to us. Being one of the cheapest accommodations, although not cheap, I’d say it’s worth the money. It’s safe, typically clean and quiet.
I kove my room in Weston Court but I wish the wifi was better

Very homely accommodation, room sizes are big enough, staff are mostly friendly, building is gated so feel safe, wifi is reliable but it stays around 30mbps. Kitchen is nice and a separate toilet and shower room which comes in handy
Good accommodation. The cleaning between occupiers could be a bit better but it could be worse.
This is my second year staying at Weston court and it’s been a good experience (hence why i booked another year) the reception staff are lovely and the general cleanliness is really good compared to other accommodations, the bus stop is basically right outside and gives you direct transport to universities/town center. My only point of improvement would be the that the wifi is sometimes a bit shaky but not too bad, otherwise, i would recommend! ◡̈
Not bad. Watson is a quality maintenance guy. Got shiny scalp. Some people look large though.
It’s proper good I really recommend you guys living here
Social areas clean however room could have been cleaner upon arrival.
it's really good so far! The living room is nice and people I live with are friendly. I would just have to say that my room floor was very dirty when I arrived and I had to clean it thoroughly.
Overall the accommodation is good. The reception staff are particularly lovely and Issues are usually resolved in a timely fashion
Staff are very friendly, aim to help you as soon as possible
Overall a good , affordable accommodation. Located near Fallowfield which is a great place for students, with buses to the centre every five minutes. My room contains lots of storage, a basin which also has under cupboard storage and a double bed .
Accommodation was lovely with friendly staff. Lots of space at an affordable price and areas came with a lot of stuff already. Good place to socialise as quite nice living rooms. Couple things were wrong such as cupboard hinges falling off but we're sorted by maintenance.
Amazing experience so far, smooth check in, everyone is friendly and helpful.
