I recently stayed at Thurso Street and had a very pleasant experience. I stayed in the premium ensuite room type, which is modern and spacious with all the amenities, including a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space, which fully met my daily needs. The common areas are also great, clean and tidy, providing a comfortable space to study and relax. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always happy to help, especially when I needed help. The location is also very convenient, with many shops and restaurants nearby, making life very convenient. Overall, it made my stay very relaxing and enjoyable, and I would highly recommend Thurso Street to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Thurso Street is perfectly located for students studying at the University of Glasgow as the accommodation is located opposite the campus. The dorm is really nice. When I arrived on my first day, I saw the bedding and kitchen supplies that the school gave me for free.

I live in Thurso Street student accommodation, the staff are all nice and the flat is close to the University of Glasgow. Yet it has some flaws: it is next to a bar so it will be very noisy in the midnight, and the room is not spacious. What’s more, there seems to be a problem with the floor drain system in my shower room, it has not been draining properly since I moved in. I will report it and hopefully it will be fixed soon.

My stay in Thurso Street has been great - the facilities around the accommodation are good, it is regularly kept clean and the ensuite bathrooms are better than any other uni bathroom I have seen. The customer service in the reception is great, the staff are very friendly including Joseph who has always greeted everyone with a smile and was always ready to help me with whatever.

The maintenance team is very efficient. And the reception staffs are enthusiastic and helpful. My life of living there is very happy and the location is great. The only thing is about the cleaning within the kitchen, there is suggested to arrange a weekly clean. Thank you.

Perfect place to stay in if you’re studying at UofG. 7min walk to any place within the south gates of the university. Beautiful view of river kelvin from the rooms and kitchens facing south in block D. The proximity to a LIDL and Morrison’s as well as being able to take a walk in kelvingrove park which is across the street were also a huge plus. Most of the team in the reception were very nice especially Kate and Joseph. Very few things were annoying, like that the windows in the rooms don’t fully open and it can get stuffy and if you try to iron your hair you might start the fire alarm, the fact that we were paying an additional 60£ per week more than the true value of the rooms for the first 9 months because of booking through the university, and the rats that were present in the garbage shed and the garage the first couple of weeks this year but they got rid of them right away. Overall, I would choose to live here if I had to do it all over again.

The staff here, especially Kate and Joseph are an absolute delight and are incredibly kind and helpful. For the location it's acceptable value for money. There are a few issues that took a while to fix, but overall it has been a good experience

The experience for me personally was very good. Making friends in your accomodation is one thing but the experience is only good if you have got an amazing team and that was what thurso street had. Joseph, especially is one of the most liked people and whenever I visit him in the reception we always have jolly conversation about what's going on in Glasgow or discussing about restaurants and food in general.

Very friendly atmosphere with great spots to hang out in the accomodation. The staff is also very friendly, especially Joseph. He makes you comfortable from day one and you can chat to him about anything and have fun banter too. The property should definitely organize some more events though. Overall a very nice experience with Thurso street.

My room could have definitely been cleaner moving in. The drawers on my desk were broken, parts of the floor have water damage and there was mold in the sink and shower when I moved in. On a positive note, property management has been super helpful and nice. Kate and Joseph have helped me many times with questions. Also, the building maintenance was quick to help when I was have plumbing issues.

Kate and Joe are the STARS of Unite Students. I absolutely love them. They’re so kind and professional and always brighten my day! They are also excellent problem solvers and have helped me sort out several issues with flat mates. They are excellent humans all the way around.

I have spent a WONDERFUL time in Thurso Street and all the staffs are very friendly especially Kate and Joseph who are warm and kind when I chat with them. The building is basically clean yet our corridor has not been cleaned for a period of time. It is worth noting that the outer door of BlockA seems to be broken and it would be nice if it’s fixed for safety purposes. Overall it is worth the money considering all the elements for international students to start a new life here.

The staff at reception are excellent--very friendly, and professional. Katie and Joseph have been especially helpful during my stay here this far. The only really notable issue I have at this property is that the WiFi via Glide can be unreliable. This is stressful because many of my exams are online and connectivity issues are not grounds for excusing late submissions.

There was a rat problem in the outside bins when I had moved in in September but it has since been taken care of. The noise is a bit of a problem; the walls/doors are not at all sound proof so I can hear everything from the other rooms and the corridor. Other than that, the reception staff is lovely and the location is perfect.

Awesome place to live. The guys at the reception, specially Kate and Joseph, go beyond their way to make it an amazing experience to live here. There are always events organized by them to help you make friends and feel welcome. When I have problems, they're always promptly solved. The room's a bit small for the price, but they compensate it with the quality of the accommodation. Extremely close to the glasgow uni, it's a 10 min walk to the main building. 100% recommend it.

In 6 months of living in thurso street Kate and joseph did an excellent job for helping everyone here. No matter in the regular days or in the Christmas festival these two distinguished staff are always be available to contact and they are always ready for solving every tricky problems. My stay in Thurso Street was made excellent by the staff members. Special shout out to Kate who has always made extra effort to connect with students. Her personal touch has made us feel safe and welcome. She has also on numerous instances helped me to resolve issues expediently and professionally. Joseph is always bubbly and ready to help. There were a couple of times when I've had to carry heavy items back to my apartment, and he jumped in to help without any hesitance. Big thanks to Kate and Joseph for making my stay with Thurso Street memorable!
