This is not a good place to stay the flat mates are very disrespectful and lots of vandalism going on in the flats. also hade experiences with people from different flats squatting in my flat and leaving it in a disgusting state. The staff are not very good at their jobs they have favouritism towards certain people and are very interfering in your life they also they do not get their priorities right with real crimes that are going on in the site . I have been woken up many times jurying the night because of the fire alarm because people are for example setting fire to their beds and also leaving the cooker on over night. A very low class place to stay and I cannot wait to move to Brampton road halls.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Do not stay here! Students have piad £1900, we were not allowed to stay due to COVID and no refunds were offered! It is disgusting and there excuse was the cleaners had to do more...its there job! Amd less people were there! Treat with no respect, management a poor excuse for for a company, honestly there not worth it, its too expensive for what you get!
Had a great year at DHSV! The rooms are modern and comfortable. The houses are a perfect size so there are enough in the house to be social but not too many that it is overcrowded in the communal area. Short trip to either campus, and there is a bus that runs right from outside the site. The staff on site are great and really helpful.
I was very happy here and can recommend. Good value for a new build and beats a scabby shared house any day of the week.
Denton holme student village is a modern above standard place to stay whilst at uni. If somthing breaks, it get fixed. Problems with housemates, the management will help best they can. Rooms are spacious and ideal for studying/living in. Beds are an odd but comfortable spacious size (great for when you have someone over for the night!) Onsight parking too. I would definitely recommend living at denton holme student village.
Modern accommodation with good layout etc, friendly helpful staff. Laundry is too expensive in my opinion and it's a bit of a trek to uni. House of 12 people is too many really but could be worse
Denting Holme is f****** s*** felt like I've been at prison for the last year. 0/10 look for private accommodation all the university provided ones are s***
Good, but could be better. The Hub and Staff are great and work really hard. Location is mediocre. Denton has takeaways and Co-op but a bit of a trek to Brampton Road (40 min walk, 20 min cycle) and half the distance for Fuse Hill. Don't forget anything you break or damage in the house, will quickly be replaced but you'll be charged for all damage. All in all, great student accommodation, great room size, great lounge area with TV and sofas, better than any other student accommodation compared to other universities I have seen.
Denton Holme hasn't been good. The day before moving in I was told I wasn't allowed the room I was allocated on the bottom and got put on a 4th floor, also the 3/4 beds that were listed on the website are not 3/4, they are single. But once moved in, I got used to the house and room. Very clean and tidy with good showers. We've been having constant boiler problems due to pressure leak that they wont fix, which means calling them out to reset the boiler or calling the 'out of hours' number to wait 2 hours for someone to come reset the boiler very often. Wifi problems are a constant and pretty much everyone is suffering with these and apparently been on going for a few years and they're not doing much about it. Management are strict, not allowed extension cables, House checks every week for example. Social life here is not too great either as many people/houses like to keep them selves to them selves. The place looks nicer than the other accom but not as great as it seems Im afraid
Friendly staff, lovely site, modern rooms - just make sure that you don't break anything.
denton holme offers a superb new build, with shared x2 bathrooms and 9 or 12 bed flats! The rooms are spacious with lots of storage and 3/4 size beds, 2x pin boards, hooks, plenty of plugs, wardrobe, draws! Anything you can ask for! The kitchen is decent sized with decent facilities, open plan with a living room and dining area big enough for everyone! 2 decent sofas, plenty of room and all equipment (iron, mop etc) provided! If anything breaks just give grev a call! Class man! The hub is b******, the staff are over envolved, weekly inspections of impossible criteria for a student home, charges for anything! The washing facilities are ridiculously expensive and only 7 washers and dryers for around 300 students! There are 6 blocks of 5 flats in each and you become friends with everyone around you! Security all the time, they are strict but also good at their job! It is about 1.3miles to the uni, so a trek! And around 0.8 miles to town! Town is tiny, but hey it's carlisle!
