Bentley House Biography
Bentley House is perfectly situated with Aston University just over the road, and many other local universities within easy reach like Birmingham City University (BCU) and University College Birmingham. Its city centre location gives residents easy access to everything Birmingham has to offer, from restaurants, and shops to historical attractions.
After class, students can get active and break a sweat in the fully equipped gym, or enjoy some sunshine and fresh air by hanging out in the courtyard. Residents can also get to know their neighbours by joining one of the wellbeing events, hanging out in the TV lounge, and common room and challenging their friends in the games room. How big are the beds? I can find that they're 3/4 but what about the depth because of getting bedsheets that are deep enough to fit?

Hello! Yes the beds are 3/4 Double beds (sometimes called 'small double') and the depth is 18cm. So the standard bedsheet fit will be fine :) Though if you have got deeper ones they will be ok too! Any other questions just let us know :) The Bentley House team

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Just as I had expected. Gives a very clean and new look. Staffs are super friendly. Security top notch.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Good size room with plenty of storage.useful large desk with lots of plug sockets for laptop and phone charging so you can study. The common room includes a pool table and a table tennis table which is fun to use and keeps you entertained on rainy days. I would recommend.
It has been a great place to stay. The staff are lovely and are always willing to help. The facilities are really nice and I have enjoyed my stay so far.

The staff are very welcoming, as well as being helpful and going the extra step. As for the accommodation room itself, it is fairly spacious, lots of storage space and is peaceful. Highly recommend staying here for any university student.

Bentley House has the most welcoming atmosphere of any student accommodations I've been at. And because of this I've chosen to live with Bentley for the past 3 years, and will continue to rebook for the next year. The staff are really sweet and aim to brighten the residents day by having a chat with them or by hosting a variety of events! Even with COVID, the events were still ongoing and it made me feel that my accommodation team cared about my wellbeing, especially since I was not able to go home. Maintenance issues are usually sorted within a day of reporting and the maintenance men are very understanding! Overall, I'd recommend Bentley House for any student that is going to study in Birmingham!

Even amongst the pandemic Bentley was such a great place to live and were so accommodating to make the best out of that scenario, such friendly staff and overall a nice place to live. I wouldn't have chosen anywhere else, and I can imagine it's even better for years to come when all social events can happen again.

I have stayed at Bentley House for the past 3-4 years and there is a reason I have rebooked every year! Everything you could want from an accommodation is provided here! Staff are very accommodating and friendly and have made every effort to ensure that my stay is as comfortable as possible! Maintenance are always quick and efficient in responding to problems in the flat/room and security are always so helpful and ensure we were always safe! Common room and gym area is always clean and tidy and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious! Highly recommend this accommodation!

Bentley house is a very prestigious university halls, the staff are friendly and have good resources such as the gym. I stayed in the deluxe room which was very spacious and worth the extra money!

Bentley house is a great place to live! The staff are always on hand and extremely helpful. It is close to campus for Aston/BCU students as well and closeby to convenience stores/supermarkets. However, due to the pandemic it has been difficult to socialise with others in the accommodation but hopefully from September 2021 things will be a lot better and Bentley will be able to put on a lot of social events. Overall, a great accommodation and very modern too!

Would have been perfect had it not been for COVID-19, however the price for not being able to use the facilities isn't worth it

We totally agree that it has made this year a little different to all others and we have had to temporarily close the gym and games areas. They were open through the different tiers and fingers crossed we will be allowed to open them very again soon. We guarantee as soon as the Government lifts the restrictions everything will be open so you can have a good workout or just chill with your friends infront of the telly in the common room :) Thanks again and hope you have a great rest of the year! Bentley House is a great accommodation to live at. The staff are all so welcoming and lovely and always there for you if you need them. They offer many freebies out which I feel is great as they are having student interaction. It really does feel like a home away from home and I am so glad I chose to live her for my final year University experience!

Friendly staff, modern and clean accommodation
Hello!! Thanks very much for great review. Yes we like to make sure that everything looks fab around the building. We have stepped up the cleaning even more during COVID and we sanitise all communal areas every 2 hours day and night. We get through a lot of disinfectant to say the least! Staff are really friendly and are quick to deal with any issues. The rooms are very spacious and there's plenty of storage. The kitchens are very modern and spacious. Overall a very safe place to live.
What a lovely review and thanks very much :) Yes we like to get things fixed as quick as we possibly can. Our Facilities Assistants are a huge asset to the team with their knowledge and chirpy personalities. We have them on site 24/7 too so there is always someone at Bentley House to react to anything that can happen, which as you say hopefully goes a long way to making you feel safe here. Yep storage is pretty good we feel from all the feedback we get. It is a bonus having all under the bed storage with the handy access flaps and the huge wardrobe. Though we don't recommend you try it...... but we have managed to fit 3 of us in a wardrobe, which goes to show how big they are! Thanks again and have a fab rest of the year with us. Very nice staff, comfortable living. Wifi could be faster especially if you live on the further sides of the building but overall great.
Hello! Thanks for your review and nice to know we are very nice! Sorry to hear about your WiFi issues as it is very rare we have anyone informing us it isn't fast? Every flat has their own router (the little white box on the ceiling of your corridor) so it shouldn't matter where you are in the building as each flat has its own WiFi router. 100mbs and every resident can connect 10 devices so it should be excellent. Just give us a call or pop down to see us we can get our internet company to run some diagnostic checks to see what the issue may be? We'll get it sorted :) The Bentley House team :)

Love it you like the facilities and we think we are kitted out quite well. Gym is well stocked (free weights as well as all the machines) and along with the pool and table tennis we love our 65 inch telly in the common room. Best place to stay in Birmingham in comparison to other accommodation. Located next to the motorway and near shops

We always advise our potential residents to do some research - even if its google reviews or chatting to friends and its great to see alll the feedback Bentley House receive. Yes the location is very handy with the 24 hour garage next door and the Tesco literally round the corner, you have everything you need only a minute or 2 away - from getting your tyres pumped to a sandwich meal deal :) The Bentley House team :)
