Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I’ve had a good experience living in Luna Student Accommodation from the moment i moved in , i felt welcomed. The stuff is friendly. The location is nice with easy access to public transport, local shops, mall, and university. The rooms are clean and comfortable
It was awesome living here and I even extended my lease. Sabrina mam helped me with all necessities and helped me with the tenancy. I was offered discounts from her.Im Very thankful for that
Location and amenities are nice but not worth the troubles you will have to put up with because of the poor property management. Very unsafe. All the staff (even the night security) has access to any room and can walk in at any time with no explanation. Management can not be held responsible for theft and lack of cleanliness in common areas, laundry rooms, bin areas- in fact, management can't be bothered to do much else other that waltzing into your room particularly in your absence. Bin area is filthy? We're going to threaten other residents and not do anything else. Keep your trash in your room. Heating broken? No reply for 5-10 working days, freeze in your room. Drains clogged? We have no maintenance this week. Deal with it. Got coerced by an external agency to book this instead of uni halls. Paying 2-3k extra to put up with a boatload of troubles.
Honestly worst student accommodation I’ve ever been too No reply to emails and even when issues are logged they are never fixed Been complaining about heating for a month now was told to get a heater or another blanket Yet I’ve paid for rent , the corridor always smells like the toilet
A great overall experience! 100% recommend this accommodation. Staff are lovely and super attentive.
The reception team on site are always supportive and on hand to assist, they put a lot of time into making sure that students are good and apart of the community and welcome on site. They’ve made my university experience a lot better being away from home
One of the best places to live. I have been here 3 yrs and this year was one of the best years.
Luna is a nice accommodation with great staff and management
Good accommodation. A central-location not to far from the uni
