Excellent place. Quiet. Airy. Clean and efficient. My only complaint will probably be the bed. Single. Tiny and way too small. I would not mind paying extra for a double bed

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

You live with many people in a dirty environment, without a space to study in a room as big as a closet for an amazingly big price. The internet is good!
The halls are very far away from everything and you have to catch a bus to get anywhere. Normally not a problem since they run every 20 minutes but during holidays and weekends the bus service is terrible. The only social area in the halls is the kitchen which is quite small. The meals you get with the accomadation are good but not avalible during holidays and very bad on weekends. This wouldnt be a problem but they dont provide adequate cooking facilities making it very difficult to make anything other then ready meals. Only good thing about these halls were the people i was living with.
Maintenance is terrible, always have cold showers, hole in the kitchen ceiling that leaks, cupboard doors falling off, out dated kitchen, bus is always too full to get on around 4pm, cant control own heating, no cleaners. Love the uni but this accommodation is terrible, go to one in the actual city! Far too expensive for what you get.
9am lectures are an added stress when the bus leaves at 8:20. Being in the middle of nowhere without any shops is hard. Taxi fares pricey and inconvenient.
Very similar to a prison but gives you a lot of time to get to know other inmates
The part catered halls are great value with a lot of food options. Laundry facilities are good and the social areas are pleasant place to spend time.
The only downfall in this halls was the cleaning staff, one day we walked in and they were sat around our kitchen table having their lunch! And they always seemed to be walking around campus but didn't actually do any cleaning... Not that we expected to have cleaners but since we had them we would appreciate if they did their job!
Good apart from repairs that took along time to fix, generally very good experience
Had an amazing time in Langstone. Close knit community within the west block halls and safe and secure. Bit far out so have to catch the bus, but it runs every 20 minutes and is free and takes hardly any time. Need to catch taxi home after a night out too. Nice amenities, warm room and a lovely communal area brilliant for socialising and pre drinks. Kitchen is good too. Post sometimes took a while to come through reception but besides that a brilliant experience for my first year.
