medical priority room, no heating in winter, shower flooded bathroom whenever used, slept in coats and couldn't wash regularly
i lived at home so this is off what i've heard about the accom
price seems a bit excessive, could do with being reduced a bit. also should be options for students who don’t stay over christmas and the summer to have shorter contracts to help with financial issues especially those who don’t get enough loan to cover costs. property management is poor, if u report anything on home at halls they don’t do anything for weeks- months, showers don’t drain very well at all, our fridge lost power for 12 hours and the reception didn’t do anything until we rang them for the 3rd time to report it and it took them 30 minutes to come up. location is great , really short walk to campus but is a trek to lidl , tesco etc. social spaces are okay but could do with refurbishing ie new stuff in the games room as most of it is wrecked. wifi was unreliable a lot of the time and often slow especially on an evening during busy periods like moving in week. also can’t park car outside of ur accommodation despite a vast amount of parking spots as it’s for “staff”
Issues at Westfield over the last three years include but are not reserved to: *Being without heating for 3 months *The internet being shocking *Staff entering rooms without knocking *Rooms being dirty when first moving in * Showers not draining and rooms flooding *No light switch in the bathroom * Walls being thin *TV not working despite complaints * Getting locked out constantly because key cards lock your room everytime you go to the kitchen * People entering and leaving your room unlocked whilst your not there *Expensive * Laundry services being expensive * Not enough fridge/freezer space

I’ve been staying here since September 2021 and although it’s close to the university, that’s probably the only benefit. I’ve been woken up many times during the night by parties and just people shouting and screaming outside having arguments at 3AM and all sorts - security does nothing (and I live basically above reception). Many of us have gone without or had fluctuating hot water and heating for months - it took about 6 months to resolve this. In the meantime we were told the gym was open for those who wanted a warm shower and some people could have temporary heaters even though there were not many and reception were constant emailing to get them back ASAP. My radiator is broken - it is always cold at the bottom and makes a very lock clanking and vibrating noise (not always when it’s even on) that keeps me awake - maintenance came to look they discussed it infront of me saying they could ‘save themselves a long job’ by doing X- I regularly have to call them back about the same issue
No hot water, Wi-fi that cuts out constantly. Do not move in here this year or any other year, you will regret it.
The rooms alone are good...the rest not so much. Even when restrictions were lowered we couldn’t use communal spaces that we payed for along with a security team that walk in on students when they’re asleep (breaching contract) and follow you everywhere.
Suitably good for bale and new facilities, social aspect could be improved
