Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

It’s very nice here!!! Location, facilities and people are great :)
I am having an Amazing experience living here with good en-suite rooms and many interesting social events around The staff is also very cooperative and helpful, especially Hannah, Dove and Matt are always there to support me in any problems related to the accommodation Overall it’s an excellent experience, so you should probably book your accommodation as soon as possible as it is worth the pay
A really outstanding place to live in. The location is perfect, everything's is near by. The accommodation is really outstanding with great facilities. I highly recommand everyone's to live here. A Special thanks to the staff especially, Hannah, Matt and Ashley.
Right from check in to stay till date has been the perfect journey at coventry. The property has made me feel at home with giving us comfort of festivals and events. And especially the night movie hall is the perfect one. The maintained team is so responsive that they listen to our concern and make things fall in right place. Any property concerns and administration concerns are handled so well by Hannah. She gives us correct solution to our problems. The property manager here is perfect as he helps out let anything be your problem.
I should give special thank to Hannah and matt , and ashely for being very good hosting employees and they have very good character and spirit @
The members of staffs are so helpful and kind. They Helped me in the moving in and with any maintenance issues. And their Service was super quick and spot on. Haven’t seen a maintenance team like this in other accommodations. Hana and Matt( building manger) they very great at their job, especially insuring student comfortability. And not just being good employees but also good friends. They put effort in creating caring place by offering once in a while mini events at the reception.
Staff are great, accommodating and friendly. Good atmosphere in the shared areas :)
As a student living away from home for the first time, Millennium View is such an exciting and homely place to stay. The staff are really welcoming; I’m always greeted with a smile when I walk in and maintenance issues are sorted quickly. Would 100% recommend!
I've stayed in uni accommodation for four year and this is by far the best place I've stayed
I like the place and the bed and the location is perfect but the hop is so small
Great accommodation. The staff is really competent, always tries to help quickly. Great rooms and flat, with a lot of space in the kitchen and in the bedroom. Nice community area
The attribution of the flats are not oriented around what kind of people you end up with. I would have preferred a studious and calm flat but ended up with party people. The kitchen bins are very annoying to use, bigger and metal bins would be a lot more hygienic. The cleaning items furnished are not very good. The week staff is nice and competent but the night/weekend staff can be rude. The room is very nice to stay in and the rest of the social spaces are well kept and welcoming.
This is an an amazing place to live as it is in middle of city centre with one of the nice views. The management, people are really friendly and helpful. Lots of events keep happening which makes it more lively and engaging.
Such a lovely student accommodation for a great price. The staff are very friendly and helped me to feel at home during my stay. Would deffo recommend for students studying at Coventry University as it is only a 5 minute walk from Campus
I really enjoy my stay at Millennium View in Coventry, and the receptionist Hannah is amazing❤️
Definitely a good place to live in for first years. It’s a lottt better than raglan house where I stayed last year. I like that it’s close to town and uni and the bus station. There’s plenty of social spaces downstairs but Covid kind of ruined everything. I hate being on first floor however as the view is boring
It’s very good for the price I’m paying but I hate being on first floor the view is just so bad. However, there is a lot of social space and is a lot better than raglan house where I was last year. I would recommend for first years.
It is really nice and good value for your money
The staff are really friendly and helpful and it is based in the city centre which makes it easy to travel everywhere. The price is also quite cheap even though it is based in the city centre
Very nice and polite staff and very helpful rooms are nice and clean
Accomodation is spot on. Location is spot on. Will definitely steely recommend.
The management team is very nice. Staff here is very kind. And the location is super convenient.
Living in millennium has been very good and I think I get a good value for my money.
Worth the stay and money had a lot of fun living here most social campus by far
This place is full of great experiences and very good location wise.
Excellent service provided. Accomdation is spot on. The location is perfect. The staff are really helpful.
Staff are really friendly and helpful. Social experience hasn’t been the best because of the pandemic. But overall it’s a nice place if you have the right flat mates!
Great accommodation for first year students. Even better for above years.
the property is quite cozy and comfortable. genuinely a nice place to live in as the rooms are the perfect size and the kitchens are also quite spacious
It’s worth the money and I like the fact that it is one building.
Good social Atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful with everything
Staff are incredibly helpful and will go the extra mile to assist you in whatever way possible.
Accommodation is good. I'm staying on the 10th floor which has good views of Coventry, our kitchen is a good size but wish other students would keep it clean.
Good accommodation, the place is better than it was at the start of the year, its definitely got cleaner. Common room and study room were closed because of coronavirus. The building is right in the centre with shops a few minutes walk away. All staff say hello when passing by.
I am living in this building and it’s very quiet at the minute, The staff are really nice and friendly. The location is great as it’s right in the city centre, the train station is a 10 minute walk and the bus station is a 30 second walk making it easy for me to travel home.
Location is good, loads of shops and bars around, McDonalds round the corner. Place has gotten better recently but left now because of coronvirus
The staff are so helpful, the two girls on the desk always speak to me when I walk in and out. While I have been poorly they have done my shopping for me and for one of those shops I didn’t have to pay for it as the property manager did. The building has had trouble but things have gotten a lot better this year. There is a big common area in the building but I haven’t used it much.
Exceptionally friendly staff, convenient location.
Have loved living here staff are always so helpful when you need anything and quick to sort out any issues. Locations couldn’t be better right in the centre of town with Sainsbury’s just across the road. Just a few minutes walk to uni and all the bars.
Covid-19: Really good communication have kept us updated and checked in on us
New halls, with a great city centre location. The coach station is right opposite, and the train station is a 13 min walk away. Nice common room and social spaces, but the price is a bit expensive.
