A bit out of date, but a really nice hall
Cryfield has the best kitchens among most of the halls, the rooms are small, but to be honest compared to the bluebell/sherbourne they are just a few square maters smaller, does not really impact your living. Some of the rooms can be a bit awfull, for example the one near the entrance doors, ground floor, but look, posibility to get this room is very small :)
Cryfield is an old building and gets very hot in the summer. Narrow corridors. But the experience I’ve had is absolutely amazing. Kitchens are big with plenty of space, location is perfect (central yet quiet) and they try to group together similar people which worked amazingly for us.
good value for money, recently refurbished, central location. only downside are slightly smaller rooms and very thin walls.
Cryfield is one of the best halls on campus! Recently renovated so the kitchens are great and the rooms have lots of plug sockets. The rooms admittedly are small and it's not ensuite so you do have to share bath rooms but you soon get used to this. Even though we share three showers between 20(!) I've never had to wait and if they're full you can just go to a different corridor. It's really close to the SU so is in a great location to get to lectures. A bit far from tesco but only takes 20 minutes if you're walking at a reasonable pace. Great social life if that's what you're after, they tend to place you with others who have said similar things so if you'd prefer a quiet corridor they'll probably put you in one, but bare in mind the walls are pretty thin so if noise is a big issue for you it might not be the best. The price is amazing for what you get, I would say it's much nicer than rootes (bigger kitchens and just seems generally cleaner) yet is a lot cheaper! Common room good also
Such cheap and amazing halls, brand new refurbishment this year so kitchens are amazing, everything you need from a halls as long as you don't mind sharing a bathroom
Overall Cryfield is a great accommodation. Amazing value for money, friendly service and excellent location. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
Very small but also cheap, not a good location for maths students but right next to the SU etc.
The best halls ever. Nothing can beat cryfield
Social experience fantastic due to lots of people/rooms per corridor and kitchens. Large common room. 2 min walk from SU. Cheap.

Very good experience of Cryfield, the cheap price reflects the small rooms, but the halls are nice otherwise and provide excellent value for money.
I was in the quiet block of Cryfield. While I've heard that people in quiet sections of other halls of residence can still hear the noise from noisier parts, it was generally pretty quiet for all of us except for those on the group floor. However, it's not a ghost town like some of the halls, and with plenty of people to a kitchen there's usually someone around for a chat/game of cards, with the common room being used by people who wanted a bit of a drink. Also - SO CHEAP! And we were never attacked by birds.
