As a very mature student my expectations were low both academically and socially. How wrong I was! I have made some amazing friends of all ages, from diverse cultures and thanks to the excellent tutors I've exceeded my academic expectations. Choosing to study for an undergraduate degree at Bolton University was the best decision I ever made.

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff!
Dont apply for this university, waste of money and time. Only one lecturer (a lady) made an effort others were not worth it. They only cared to get the fees. After the course they just inform home office that we did stop studying instead completed the studies and did not want to do anything to correct it.
Poor organisation, poor communication. Overall very negative experience of my postgraduate degree. We started with 11 on the course, and there is now 2 of us left.
Student friendly university, with satisfactory support.
Fantastic lecturers and tutors

It's overall good university, low tuition fee with good facilities both academic and non academic extra curriculum activities as well and good sports activities and events ect...
Amazing university, with lovely tutors and staff.
It is a great place for international students.
amazing learing institute, with friendly lecturers
The best university with exceptional lectures and learning facilities
The university is invested it’s students and goes above and beyond to make sure students adjust to the curriculum and excel not just in academics but all round.
University of Bolton has got the best student support resources. I think it’s the best school around
Very friendly university with diverse culture.
Absolutely dissatisfied, and discriminated and almost everyone did whatever was possible to fail.
Covid made it hard to get the most of my uni experience but it was a good place. Most of my issues are course and lecturer related instead of the campus and the student support available.
The university offers good range of skills to pursue in a range of fields.
Such a friendly environment, great people
I really like Bolton uni. It makes students feel welcome and enables them to achieve there goals. Tutors always have time for there students which isn't something yous ee often.
Very good University with good teaching. The university is modern with excellent sporting facility's. The staff are very approachable and friendly.
It was good overall good infrastructure and facilities over the university
Good experience overall,great facilities
Don’t use wifi on campus or have joined any society’s
The lecturers give listening ears, the students are welcoming. Well equipped library and laboratories. Honestly, this is the best university any student can think of schooling in.
Its been a great experience studying my course in the university, great lecturers, great education. Needs more sports facilities and more societies.
Nice university, has a high quality of teaching and a lot of facilities. There is even a free students minibus that goes from the facilities to all the campuses. They definitely care about students.
University of bolton is a good uni
Not many societies but it is easy to set up your own one
Not the uni experience you expect
Bolton University is very nice and great
Great space and tutors, everyone is nice and they is some great social areas
Good experience. Satisfied with the service
Have already studied in the University of Bolton and can confirm it is the best university
Was recommended this uni, but wish I did more research and not just looked at their website for the rating. The lectures don't respond to emails, some people who struggle in classes get usually left out and only the very knowledgeable students get appreciated. You pay 9k+ a year to watch YouTube videos and spend 90% studying at home and only get taught about 10% at the very best by the lectures. This university is all talk but not show.
University have the basic necessities for any university student, well equipped facilities, helpful staff and amazing library resources
Good contacts with students and help with the life lounge
Bolton University is one of the best in the county, the service and the staff is one of the best I have see
Lovely University, Very well Situated and amazing fertilities!
Only managed to go into the university queens campus twice because of COVID but modern campus very nice
Staff excluding lecturers don't know what they're doing, don't check emails, don't know what departments deal with what, send generic template emails back to you when you're involved in a serious accident and refuse to provide an extension to deadlines regardless that you're entitled to one.
Having a great experience here.
Honestly wish I had looked for a better university. And taken more time to review the place before choosing it
this university dont bother to reply any email at all. I send them my DBS things and the last time i hear from them is late june and i email them to ask what going on they never reply anything, they also take forever to give cas they work so slow!!!!!!
Location is not good, in an area of Bolton that's bad for crime. The campus has become part of a kind of junior university zone - it is next to Bolton College, a school (also a part of the University) and a 6th form college. Basically I didn't want to be at a University and be surrounded by young kids. My course was ok, but most of the time I regretted studying there. Facilities are poor compared to what I've seen in the larger universities in the Northwest.
University is in a terrible area. so-so facilities, library is small and has outdated books. They really will need to make sure the PCs in there are kept cleaner than they were in 2019, SU is not very active, and in the past has been very repressed, virtually run by university staff to stop them spending money on students.
I love this university. The lecturers really make it. They go way beyond what is necessary to help you. Its not a very big campus but very warm and friendly. Everything is very near to each other and you have a lovely side of the North West.
May I suggest the university alters it's policy with regard to communication with prospective students. If a new customer who is willing to pay nearly ten thousand pounds to attend a years course then when that new customer contacts the course tutor to clarify some information and they don't reply it looks fairly unorganised. However, what looks even more unorganised is when said tutor receives a UCAS application and sends a personal SMS to that new customer and doesn't even bother to reply to the response of the SMS. Well I'm disappointed. But not as much has if I had started this course, paid the money and then received substandard service as I have as a new customer. Thanks university Bolton for wasting one of my choices on my UCAS forms but thanks for saving me the money and the problems I would obviously face as a student of yours.
The tutors truly care about you and your passion for the subject which is really encouraging especially in your first year.
Good uni with good facilities. Really enjoying the course
dont rate this university at all. there has been issues and mess about all the way through. No clarity or understanding and feel very frustrated with how we are drip fed information. will not be going back
A really good university, I recommend it
I had reservations about starting here but after completing my access course here, I now can’t wait to start back to complete my degree here
Had an amazing first year at the university, the staff are all helpful, amazing support for writing essays and great support service.
Such a comfortable and welcoming experience I’ve had over the last 3 years. So much so I’m applying for my pgce, masters and phd here. Cannot fault this university
The university itself is rather underwhelming, but the course I am on is incredible. The VFX tutors are overwhelmingly supportive and help every individual student flexibly, a lot of the graduates have jobs lined up around graduation time as well.
This university is absolutely amazing.
Really love doing the dental technology course at the university of bolton. The lecturers are really friendly and knowledgable. Lessons are mostly engaging and interesting particularly the practical side to the course. The campus i am based at queens campus is really modern and upto date
A great university. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Although quite a small uni, this provides the opportunity to get to know your lecturers and fellow students on a more personal level. If you're struggling there's always someone to turn to in and out of class with the great facilities and added mile the uni will go to help you.
I do an art degree here and I really am enjoying it. It is situated in a very good place with lots of food places around it and travel such as trains and buses. I really get on well with the staff too and there is such a friendly atmosphere
Decent uni, they don't lecture you, they teach you
My experience at Bolton uni is amazing. Lectures are sooo helpful.
Very nice university, with small groups, so you always get enough attention from the teachers. Good facilities, lots of printers (no queues), and great choice in library, although needs some new books. Could be more clubs and societies, or at least those ones existing could be a bit more active.
Worst Uni ever, Absolutely no support for Three years and had to persevere , past from pillow to post at every junction and problem. The clinical Nurse Tutors should be ashamed of themselves. Rumors they are Told to'' Low Ball '' certain Students is criminal. Give you your assignments and exams and no one is around to help , they all seem to take holidays when you need them most when assignments are due. Shame Shame Shame Shame Shame.
Best university ever. The course i am on (dental technology) is really well organised and the teachers mostly have experience working in the dental industry which is a massive help. Also the university is very wheelchair accessible which is a big help as i use a wheelchair
Near global wifi is really useful when in the area and everything else does it's job!
It's a decent university, the area isn't great however the lecturers really try to make sure you're comfortable and get the best grades you can.
The campus its self is very modern and clean making it an enjoyable place to study, I joined the hockey team and it has been the most enjoyable thing I have done since I got here. The SU is very modern also but lacks in size making it so most social event have to be done in the study area, I have not been shown any career opportunities at the University, also the internet is all over campus making it very useful.
Really good resources. Our computers are kept updated and we have all the software and equipment we need.
The Orlando village halls are in very very bad need of a redecorating and preferably redesigning. They don't even have a real oven in the kitchens, it's a table top electric oven that only fits one small pizza or one portion of chips in at a time: this is supposed to feed a flat of 6. The security are over bearing at times and non existent when they are actually needed. The £78 a week rent seems cheap until you realise how truly s*** this place is and that people are paying barely a few pounds more for somewhere that is clean, decorated, spacious and secure. It takes them weeks if not months to respond to most complaints of broken kitchen appliances etc. but barely a day to change a light bulb (they have backwards priorities or don't bother if it costs them more than £5 to fix it). The university itself has a very corrupt management that fire staff without warning for ludicrous, unfounded reasons leaving the students without tutors or support at crucial times in their education.
There are lots of facilities, events and good career opportunities within Bolton due to the Students Union.
