I am currently staying here and have nothing bad to say. The reception staff Michelle and Adam are always friendly and helpful, the university is only a 10-15 minute walk away and a lot of the nightlife is only a couple of minutes away. I look forward to staying here again next year.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
close to a lot of places like school, city center, bus station
It’s a nice place to stay for any budget, they have studios, en-suite rooms and single rooms with shared bathrooms also
The accommodation is OK and I would recommend it for anyone
affordable and close to university. great value for money.
It is a great accommodation provider , clean building and friendly staffs .
First, the building is still prone to fires. Came from London for studies (drama school) the property manager Michelle, sits at the reception every day and tends to pick her favourite students , which can make your stay very uncomfortable if she doesn't like the look of you, again you have to see her every day. Maintenance and the cleaner lady are lovely but other staff tend to change often because of ............Me and my mate tended to start avoiding the accommodation within her working hours as your place to rest should not be stressful, especially if you are a student at a STUDENT ACCOM. Don't be fooled by the front she puts up at the start btw. Cheap appliances are also bought like microwaves, and ovens and you are charged for that if it is faulty at the end of your stay. Even if it's electrically faulty. Management needs to drastically change...Two stars cause the building is alright, I reckon the owners a cool and they just don't know
Great accommodation with everything you could ask for as a student!
The staff at reception are always very helpful, friendly and welcoming. They always seem happy to talk to you. The studio accommodation meets the high standards of your needs, as well as being good value for money. Not to mention a free gym and a laundry room with enough machines to never wait having to wait for your turn. The Cube also offers parking space for your vehicle or if you need to drop something off, with a high security standard.
Amazing staffs, such a friendly environment, helpful and understanding. The best
I am currently staying here and have nothing bad to say. The reception staff Michelle and Adam are always friendly and helpful, the university is only a 10-15 minute walk away and a lot of the nightlife is only a couple of minutes away. I look forward to staying here again next year.
Living in the cube has been completely amazing, the location is perfect and easily accessible , the other tenants are friendly , the environment is always kept clean and calm, and I don’t mind staying here for as long as it takes
I am currently staying here and it is a great place. The rooms are well equipt and it is in a really convenient location being only 10 minutes from the university and minutes away from any night life. The staff are amazing and the reception staff Michelle and Adam always try to say hello if they see you and make you feel welcome. There are also small events that go on from pool competitions to fun sports days, its a really good place to live.
You get more than what you pay for
Very good met new people was over all good
A very modern and well-built building, accommodating student living spaces, spacious communal areas, and fully-equipped kitchens. The rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms, and they are well-ventilated, and very warm, all day long! Situated right in the heart of Bolton Town Centre (Bradshawgate), with shops, restaurants, public services and transportation at the feet of the accommodation!!
Great facilities and management
Wish was more socialising as everyone sort of sticks to their own. Not that much mixing of groups. Feel like everyone needs to talk more and be more gathering in social areas
The cube is really good with great ambiance
Very good 👍 Perfect for students
Rooms are fairly big for the price you pay, mattresses are horrible so I would recommend you to buy a new one if possible. There’s just one fridge per flat, if you’re 6 you have to be able to share it together, staff is really nice and friendly tbh
My experience at The Cube Bolton has been awesome so far. I moved in February, and I have not had any regrets yet. The staff (Mitchell's, Adam and Bright) are awesome and always ready to answer all of my questions, even the silliest ones, lol. Location is good because it's very close to school, the environment is always neat, the students are always also very welcoming. I endorse this place for any student looking for an accommodation. What I have seen here so far beat all my earlier expectations and I am so impressed.
What a great experience its been during my first month in the Cube. Perfect place to stay especially for students, here are a few things that made my stay so nice: 1. Walking distance to the Uni, bus station and train station. 2. Cooperative management, solved a few problems I had. 3. Clean place, always so clean. 4. Value for money considering the included gym, security etc considering the rent is so high in the area. Pleasure staying here :)
Great Place to live in. Very Close to the train Station and Manchester is only a 20 minutes ride. The staff, especially Michelle and Adam, are really friendly and helpful.
Nice accomodation, it is very close to the University if Bolton and the prices are excellent. The managers Brian, Michelle and Adam are really nice and helped us a lot by solving our problems and improving the quality of my stay. I will definitely suggest The Cube for friends and rebook.
Very good experience from Michelle, Brian and Adam
I really enjoyed my time here. Everything was perfect. Michelle, Adam, Brian are really friendly. 10/10
Activities held in the common room by Michelle, Adam and Brian are always fun
The staff at the front desk, Michelle and Adam, are always welcoming and helpful. Even though we have a language barrier that didn’t affect their helping nature. I strongly recommend it !!
Cube Urban Student Life accommodation it is very nice and lovely
Went for showing all looks clean tidy and well looked after. Thanks to Adam for letting us look round.
Everything is in close together and the social areas are nice and spacious
Me and my friends went for a viewing of the cube and it was great! We had some problems with the rooms being mixed up, but they where able to sort it out there and then, and the person at the front desk was lovely and pretty nice, overall a good experience, and I'm looking forward to moving in September time
Good service.. hospitality is excellent.
A quick and easy application for an apartment, best value, and superb wifi
I love staying at the cube, the facilities are really good and it’s a good value for money, I love seeing Natalie and Michelle everyday.. they make my days a lot brighter when I come home from a stressful day of uni and also push me to go to uni when I don’t want to, they’re basically like my second mums and they are the people that I can turn to when I need some guidance. They plan loads of fun activities that I always attend and it’s made my experience here so much better.
Super happy with my flat, it’s newly decorated, modern and spacious. The gym and common room are well equipped and a Great space to go to meet other students. Michelle and Natalie are amazing and super friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a brilliant location too, minutes walk away from uni, the train and bus stations and all the shops and restaurants etc. The courtyard is lovely too.
Great location. Easy access to the university with shops close by. Natalie and Michelle on the front desk are always friendly and extremely helpful.
This is my first year living in The Cube, and as a third year student who is in University 4/5 days a week, the location is ideal! Only a 10 minute walk to the Uni and a prime location for shops (and some nightlife, not all work and no play) The receptionists, Natalie and Michelle are FANTASTIC! They are the friendliest face in the morning to wish you well and there on return to ask you about your day. They are on hand with absolutely everything and made the transition back into student halls so comfortable for me. Not only is everything run smooth by them, they are just genuinely lovely people! I’m gutted I didn’t stay in this accommodation sooner.
I would recommend the cube to anyone moving to Bolton to study as I have been in a couple of the other accommodations but this place is for sure at the top of the list for next year.
Anyone moving into Bolton for college should definitely consider The Cube for accommodation. The amenities which include the common area are well maintained with regular cleaning and Maintainance. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is equipped with the latest appliances. The location is bang in the middle of the town centre and is literally 2 minutes away from the train and bus stations. The university is about a 10-minute walk in the same direction. Natalie, Michell, and other property management team members are always available and are very responsive to inputs. They do a fantastic job and have made my stay at The Cube a very pleasant one indeed!
Natalie and Michelle, lovely receptionist, very friendly and helpful!!
Good service and good communication any problems resolved with room
It has be great and fun live at the cube in Bolton I will ask any student to come and live there. Natalie and Co as be great
The location is PERFECT very central in the town, close to clubs, pubs and food places, very short walk to the university, lovely managers (Natalie and Michelle) and lovely place to live!
The environment is conducive and my room was as advertised. Michelle, Natalie and the staff are also super friendly.
Fantastic service and very friendly people, especially at the receptiont, there are these two women called Natalie and Michelle! They were always there to help me, made things easy for me as an international student.
cannot complain very good accommodation and safe!
Nice enough place, but a little small and cramped, not a beautiful building.
