I'm a first year uni student and i have just rebooked for my second year at snowdon hall! The facilities here are great, all lights / hot water / heating / kitchen works perfectly, i've never had any issues. Beds are pretty comfy, my en-suite silver room is a decent size, got plenty of storage space and same goes for the kitchen! The location of the accommodation is ideal too, literally a one minute walk and your in the twin centre, which makes walking home from nights out much safer!! only five minutes to bigger retail parks, gyms, and the GP surgery too. My accommodation is a 10 minute walk from wrexham university, which is super efficient. The staff here are amazing, there's somebody on 24/7 for any assistance or maintenance you might need, and all super friendly and helpful! Plus, the team host accommodation events, the recent party in the student union was boss, with free food and a really great atmosphere. They will 100% take care of you, and make sure you have a great stay :)

Q&A
Unfortuntely the car parking spaces are now booked for the academic year. We have very limited spaces and these are usually booked well in advance. We can add your name to our waiting list if you contact the property directly.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so thrilled that you are enjoying everything that Snowdon Hall has to offer our residents, from our location, to our facilities, to our friendly and helpful team members! We really appreciate all of your feedback and are so pleased to be welcoming you back next year. Many thanks – Student Roost
I stayed in a Bronze Ensuite for my foundation year and had a great experience. The staff are helpful and caring, and the location is perfect, right in the center of Wrexham with shops nearby. My room did get hot in the summer. I had no maintenance issues. The heater was convenient, automatically stopping at 18°C with a boost option to 21°C. The internet was fast and reliable, with an ethernet connection in the room. Overall, I had a wonderful time living here. 😊
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It’s great to know you enjoyed your time living with us. We really appreciate the feedback! – Student Roost
great staff, amazing location, would highly recommend!
It is very good student accommodation in the centre of Wrexham. Staff are very friendly and approachable, especially the manager - Julie.
Management is poor. Staff are unprofessional. But it is located in the middle of town. Unfortunately this means it is very loud at night as the windows are substandard. The radiators are set at 18 degrees and will only boost for an hour. Very small car park (6spaces) cost 20 per month to park in the car park.
My expérience in Snowdon has been great, the staff is really helpfull and nice. Always there to help if there is a problem
Best and affordable student accomodation that can be found in Wrexham. Very nice and friendly staff
Friendly staff and highly recommended for the students.
Good accommodation, very well priced, very clean, friendly
Great accommodation, friendly staff, clean rooms great location
It can be better. There isn't much to do at all.
Bangor accommodation is much nice unfortunately
It is a reasonable price for what you get however when in first year it can be hard to meet other students and can quickly become hard to enter social circles due to this
Snowdon Hall is very basic, the internet is abysmal and stuff breaks frequently and the staff don't seem to care
I have never had an issue with Snowdon Hall. All the staff are friendly and really easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Snowdon hall to friends. They are really understanding with financial situations and are always happy to make everyone’s student experience a safe and positive one.
Very convenient location and excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. Any problems with the rooms are resolved as soon as possible. This place is highly recommended.
Absolutely brilliant location, superb staff who are always willing to go the extra mile and such a vibrant community. In all its a positive place to experience and who wouldnt love the shops and pubs on their door step!
Office staff are always happy to help, well located halls close to food shops, town centre, pubs and cinema
I’ve stayed at Snowdon Hall for approaching 3 years and I am happy to leave a positive review of the accommodation. Being a full time Nursing student I really required a practical yet homely place to reside through completing placements and also to study- Snowdon provided that. Being right at the heart of town, I had great access to food shops and leisure areas but most importantly I was a good walking distance from the hospital (where I worked and had a majority of placements). From the very first day I arrived to Snowdon - staff have been attentive and incredibly understanding of challenges facing student loans which would have an effect on rent payments. Staff would promptly answer emails and clearly took interest in student welfare by hosting fun, engaging social activities. Through Snowdon I’ve met amazing people and I’ve enjoyed the last three years here!!
all staff really friendly and make myself feel safe and secure.
Great value for money, lovely friendly staff
I highly recommend snowdon hall. Very helpfull and cooperative staff and nice place to live.
I have been living at Snowdon Hall for the past three and I am very sad to be leaving. The staff are very friendly and the 24 hour security make you feel very safe. The rooms are a good size and the kitchens are big. It’s a great price and a lot cheaper than most uni accommodations. There is on site maintenance that fix everything as soon as possible. Would definitely recommend to future students.
I am so sad to be leaving, I have lived here for the past 3 years and it has been an amazing experience even with covid! The staff are so supportive and have mental health training to be there for your wellbeing and have really helped me through this pandemic. There is a lovely outdoor area with picnic benches and a bbq. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is lovely with a sofa. I have felt so safe living here with 24 hour security and secure gate.
Would leave less stars if I could. Only lived in Student Roost Wrexham for 6 days before moving out due to serious concerns for my well-being. Was threatened with rape and told my car would be smashed and burnt. Witnessed class A drugs being dealt on property by another resident, this was caught on security camera but Student roost refused to take any action. They deliberately mis-advertise secure parking on their website in a bid to get students to sign up for the accommodation. Despite all this the company refuses to come to a settlement on rent or let me cancel the contract. I was quite bluntly told they would fill in every single room in the accommodation before they would fill mine so I would have to continue paying rent for somewhere I don't live. I am a NHS student and day in day out I am dealing with the COVID crisis in this country and yet because of the actions of borderline criminal actions of Student Roost I now can't afford anywhere to live. Thanks so much for the support
We are very sorry to hear about your experience during the very short time you spent in Snowdon Hall. The health and safety of all our students on site is paramount to us. I would urge you to contact the police to report the threats you have mentioned receiving. We have never known of any students that have been threatened in this way or had their cars deliberately smashed or burnt in the town and so these concerns need to be reported to the authorities. If you contact the property we can provide you with support in reporting these allegations. Our tenancy agreements clearly state that the use of illegal drugs in our properties is not allowed. We investigate any such allegations immediately, and report them to the relevant authorities if we find any evidence of criminal activity. Our site is secure and safe and can only be accessed by the students that live here. Our website does explain that there is limited availability for on-site car parking at Snowdon Hall, and that this is available on a first-come-first-served basis for an additional fee. However, if you would like to discuss your fixed-term tenancy or the other issues you’ve mentioned in your review, I’d urge you to contact us directly.
If carlsberg did student accommodation... :)
(Please use my refer a friend code RAF026754) Living in student roost was the best decision I have made moving to university. All the staff are lovely and will help with any worries and concerns. The rent is an amazing price for money and there is lots of space for all your things! The wifi they use will be better than any other student accommodation you have been to!
Rooms are good size and great value for money. There is no commin room as such but lots of nice events arranged by Julie and the staff.
Nice rooms. Nice staff. Nice price. Booked for next year.
I love it here and have booked again for next year. Price is far cheaper than Wrexham Village and the staff are a great bunch of people. Safety and well being of the students is their top priority. Nowhere better to stay in my eyes
Good value for money. Cheaper than the university and lots of student events and freebies. Loved the free ice creams. More please
So sad to leave this place. Was an amazing experience, manager was so helpful when I arrived and always there to advice, her local knowledge was brilliant. Rest of the guys always were great always laughing and joking with you. Will moss you all
Love this place...booked again for my 3rd year, staff are amazing, always someone there to help 24/7. I am always forgetting my key and never a problem for security to let me in. Love the treats Julie gives us on a Friday, whether it be muffins or fruit it is most welcome. Always has a laugh and a joke with us. Keep up the good work
Friendly staff, good rooms, great social life
Good place to live, can be noisy but great value of money, good location and great round the clock security. So great that I am coming back for my second year :)
Nathan, Mike and Julie are very friendly! Always up for a chat in the office! I love the freebies Snowdon Hall provide and definitely the best place to live in Wrexham! So good I've booked to stay next year as well!
I love the staff at Snowdon Hall, they are always there for support and I can always pop into reception to have a laugh. Love the freebies they give us. I would recommend Snowdon Hall to anyone looking for accommodation in Wrexham. Kind regards Ali.
Best student accommodation in Wrexham. Friendly staff, great price
My eyes were wet when I left this plaice, so many friends i make the party was bestest experience. Security are best to look after you, miss julie is always there to advice and guide you when troublea are inside you . Natan fix everything that you break, will miss these place
Loved living here nothing is too much trouble for the staff . Some rooms can be noisy but was not an issue for me. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for making my time away from home so much easier
I have lived nearly 2 year at snowdon hall and have loved everyday at snowdon hall. It is also very good value for money compared to the rest of the properties available. It has a great location being very close all amenities, pubs etc. The Hall is well maintained with very helpful staff 24*7. Great team lead by Julie, Hall Manager, who is so helpful and amazing in her work.
Great place to stay. Staff are always there to help you
I have been at Snowdon for 3 years now and I have loved my time here! The staff are lovely, I can chat with them about anything and they even make you a cup of tea! There is on site maintenance guy who is lovely and repairs any issues very quickly! I have made my best friends here, as you have shared kitchens and flats. It has been a home away from home. There are security who are on at night who are there to keep you safe. They organise social events, so you can meet everyone. It is in the centre of town which is great for shopping and nightclubs but be prepared for the noise. I will miss Snowdon Hall as it has taught me so much. Thank you to everyone for everything! ♡
I have now been at Snowdon Hall for 2 years, please ignore the bad reviews. Julie and the team make you feel really welcome to the stage where you can have a chat with them about anything, which is great for when you are away from home. They organise social events and parties for you to get involved in with so you can meet people. The rooms are more spacious in comparison to student village (as I have lived there), and you can make it feel like home. The kitchen has two fridges and one freezer so you have plenty of room for your food and Lidl is down the road and Iceland is up the road so you can get food. Yes, fair enough it is slightly noisy at the weekend as you are situated it in the town centre, by the nightclub, however it makes it easier for you to come home after a night out. 15 minutes walk from uni where you pay £20 less than accommodation at uni. Security are great too, they do regular checks to make sure everything is safe. I have made so many friends here.
Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a helpful review. I’m going to circulate your feedback with our team as we pride ourselves in making all our tenants feel at home and as comfortable as possible. We are delighted you enjoyed our social events and have made great friends whilst staying in Snowdon Hall! We hope you have enjoyed some of our other facilities like the garden and BBQ area :) Kind regards, The Accommodation Team
It's basically just getting lucky about who you're with. About 20 minute walk from uni, not a probkem for me but some peoole want to be closer. Walls are thin people blast music like no one business. If it's a weekend the noise outside is UNBELIEVABLE, so if you work you'll not get any sleep. In town centre, so its good for shopping. Small kitchen and 'living space' (a sofa). It's the cheapest accommodation avaliable in Wrexham but most are going elsewhere next year, it's probably worth spending the extra.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, we really appreciate your comments. In terms of getting to and from university, did you know that Wrexham Glyndwr University offers a cycle scheme where you can rent Pool Bikes to use around Wrexham and between campuses? We are sorry to hear you have struggled with the noise- we understand it is a downfall of being so close to the town centre. We hope you have enjoyed being so close to shops restaurants and bars. Kind regards, The Accommodation Team
The location is unfortunate, the cost more than makes up for it.
Hi there thank you for your feedback. We would love to know what it is about the location of Snowdon Hall that you haven't enjoyed? It's great to hear you appreciate the cost of the accommodation. We are one of the most affordable halls in Wrexham with rooms starting from £79.00 per week. Kind regards, The Accommodation Team
I had a great stay here... The staff are brilliant, always willing to that extra mile to help. Managed to a very high standard. Great value for money, rooms are bigger than the university and much cheaper. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much for your great feedback, we really appreciate it and are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Snowdon Hall. I am going to circulate your feedback with our team as they will be delighted to hear you appreciated their service. It is great to hear you enjoyed the size of our rooms- they are great value for money! Kind regards, The Accommodation Team
I have been a resident at Snowdon Hall for almost 2 years now. The residents have been great, meeting new people especially foreign students. Please disregard the negative reviews below. I cannot stress enough how pleasant the staff have been since moving to this accommodation. The security staff are very welcoming and approachable, you can even have a laugh with them. Any problems regarding your room or common room is fixed promptly by the resident handyman who is also a great laugh and very sociable. Staying here has been a great experience and i will certainly be staying here again next year.
I lived at Snowdon hall for my first year at uni and my first real experience of living on my own. The social side of things was cosmic meeting new people and in genuinely joking laughing atmosphere! I find the security to be one of the best things about the halls unlike the previous reviews I can assure you they are not all bouncers and they are genuinely nice people who made this experience a lot easier and welcoming for a new student. They are very helpful if your ever in a situation of assistance and always there to help! The maintenance and cleaning staff I found also to be very welcoming and very quick to rectify any problems you may have with your room! The previous review I found very unfair on these sets of individuals. You must remember it is what you make it and it can be great if you try to socialise and meet with people of different cultures and backgrounds I found this the best experience. We have had some issues with the management but never with other staff members.
My experience at Snowdon Hall was awful. For a start, the owner was extremely rude, and instantly made me feel like i was trespassing on their property. When i arrived to collect my key, I was greeted with a passive aggressive comment from the manager due to my arrival being late (Even though i had called 2 days prior to my original arrival date) however that was not the only issue concerning the staff. Several member of the security team are bouncers at local nightclubs, though i had no issue with this, it certainly made me feel like an outsider. There was no sense of community either. Maybe this was due to the fact that there was nowhere to socialize with the other flatmates on your floor, unless you count the kitchen or smoking area. As well as that, the walls are paper thin, and any noise from outside will be heard. I would go on about the faults of the accommodation, but there is a word limit. Just take it from me, its really not worth it.
Snowdon Hall was a bad place to stay.Bed bug infested and an awful manager. My experience their was not good. Even though I was one of the British students, the manager use to have her favorites and they had preferential treatment. Also any problems you had would usually fall on deaf ears unless of course you were the chosen few. The Security staff happened to be doorlads from the local nightclubs and a bunch of cowboys.... Don't go there unless you want to be covered in spots from bedbugs and get blamed for bringing them to the hole. The walls are paper thin and the doors constantly slam from the door closure mechanism...
Great hall used predominantly for returning students. Perfect mix for study and socialising.
