The accommodation is also right on campus, so commuting couldn’t be easier! I have recently been informed that my corse date does not start until January 2025, and I have currently got a room already in peel park quarter, this means I won’t get my student finance until I start my corse date. Would it be possible to pay rent monthly until I get my strident finance in January

Where possible, we have aligned our payment plans to the UK student finance loan dates, however as this will be paid to you after you have checked in and started your studies, we require a two-week payment to cover your initial rental period.
The 1st instalment is due on 27/08 and payments must be made on the student portal, or by contacting a member of the Campus Living Villages team on +44(0)161 850 6664.
Please note that we may be unable to give you your keys if this is outstanding as we are unable to amend the first instalment due on 27/08.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I was scared to live at uni after seeing horror stories online but peel park is the exact opposite and I have loved living here it’s a great, clean and modern place to live and has definitely made the university experience better. I wish we could stay here each year at uni, I really don’t wanna leave.
Nice room, great location on campus
Excellent room with the perfect amount of space for a student and a convenient en-suite. Kitchen is big enough and the location is great.
My showers pipes were awful and leaking out into the corridor, I put it on maintenance and it was fixed by the next day

I understand that it's completely my fault that the social experience and price are not the best for me as I cannot afford rent on my own and am too introverted to go out for too long. The services provided by the building are very good however.
It’s a good place to live in for the year. I’d definitely recommend future students to try and grab a spot here before it’s all sold out. Staff are lovely, I feel safe and secure and know that I can stay here for as long as I can.

I’ve always appreciated my time at Peel Park. The most significant thing I can think of is when I reported maintenance for my shower, and my sink received maintenance too. They didn’t need to do that and took time out of their day to make sure it was in working order for me, so that was really appreciated. The reception staff are also always lovely and always know exactly what to do to help.
Peel park is an amazing place to stay for a first year student, it's nearby everything that you need to start your year.

Pretty good overall, maintenance requests could be a bit faster or thorough though. Laundry area was quickly resolved as when they were redesigned prices of a wash were £5 and it was unreasonable to be priced so much to wash your own clothes. Facilities such as gym and game area are fun and lifts are now working.

I am really enjoying my experience living on campus. There isn’t much to complain about. When I have a problem the staff immediately sort it out. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the paint on the walls in my room was ripped off in spots before I moved in.

I have enjoyed my time at Peel Park Quarter so far, I think the building is great for social events for example Atmosphere and the game rooms. I live in a bronze room and I am more than happy with the size and facilities included, it has everything I need. Having Salford Crescent train station next door is also really ideal for going home on weekends and at breaks.
Very comfortable accommodation with nice rooms and good staff. The only real complaint I have is that the showers are kinda small. Other than that, not bad.
Overall the accommodation is really good value for money. The services provided for maintenance help are brilliant as soon as a request is put in someone is here to help fix it. Really welcoming and accommodating staff.
I’ve really enjoy living here, i’ve got friends from socialising in other buildings which is great! the area is clean and a really good walking distance to the shops like lidl and then the shopping centre as-well as manchester. I have put the wifi with 4 stars due to only being able to have 5 devices connected to the wifi on one account which is sometimes a pain with having friends from home over or having more devices. Everything works well and i’m very pleased with the facility’s and the quality of the accommodation:)

It is fairly good value for money. Decent social spaces. Maybe more events like a barbecue or sports/activities against each building eg. Lowry 1 against Pankhurst. Staff are friendly also

Peel Park quarter is good accommodation in a close location to campus and opportunities for students. Improvements could be made on the wifi speed and the speediness of maintenance requests. Overall i feel safe in the accommodation, however changing our key cards all the time feels excessive.

Overall an alright accommodation, not worth how much it is though. And the fire alarms are most likely fault with how often they go off at random times for a few minutes at least 3-4 times a month.
As a summary, peel park is good value for money, has a good location, and has a good social spaces and events. Kind and helpful staff.
Peel Park Quarter is very good, my only issue is that Delaney Receotion is never manned despite the fact it claims to be 24/7. Often more than one on Lowry reception, very frustrating.

Lovely place great staff beautiful location
Excellent location, perfectly adequate facilities - main issue is that it the accomodation is split over 2 sites with separate receptions. The claim is consistently made that the receptions are staffed 24/7 - this is not the case. Especially on weekends, it can be difficult to find staff to assist with issues such as key card faults preventing access. Further, though notice is often given for works requiring flat access, the dates given don't always reflect when contractors or staff actually turn up requiring access.
I enjoy it here and think the room is designed well but they often take a while getting back to complaints and sometimes the corridors smell.
Getting maintenance is a bit of a pain to get booked and arrive, but always do a good job and fix things quickly once in the flat. The wifi is pretty good but tends to be a little slower during the day.

I've had a good experience. Everything is kept clean and tidy and maintiece are quick to sort out any problems. They also check everything in the flat regularly to make sure it is up to standard

Nice student halls close to campus brand new laundry rooms. I like being right next to peel park.
While we had some trouble with another flatmate, certain provisions were put in place to help and they made us feel heard. Being only First years there is a sense of community especially at the start of University which made it easier to meet new people. Any maintenance requests were dealt with quickly. The washing machines did have some problems through out the year.
When I was told by a friend that this was one of the best universities in the UK as well as its Peel Park Accommodation I was obviously skeptical, but now, excluding flatmate unpredictability, I can agree that this place is amazing to live at and enjoy. Would highly recommend.

Peel parks in a good location. It’s a 5 min walk to uni and close to shops but there’s barley everywhere reception at Delaney
I have loved staying here and making so many more new friends. I’ve done things here I never would have done at home and I have 100% enjoyed my stay here.
The accommodation is secure. Sometimes in the delaney building no one will be on reception for long periods of time as they stay in lowry which is inconvenient for residents in this building. The maintance sometimes come as soon as something is reported however sometimes they do not come at all.

The accommodation is very modern and spacious, really nice compared to other accommodations. It's always clean and any maintenance issues are resolved quickly. The only issue is that you don't get a lot of privacy and maintenance show up without notice at all hours.
Overall review of the student quarters at Salford uni are very decent for what your paying the rooms by no means are massive but they are big enough for you to live comfortably without feeling confined, the social spaces are open with large counter top space.

Since living here in the last few months I have loved my stay! The value for money is amazing and the location is close by to everything: train station, shopping centres, universities, central Manchester! All the staff are helpful and friendly and there is always events going on to get involved in!
Great for meeting new friends, student union just across the road. Beautiful courtyard that is very well maintained. Cleaning supplies given to flats could be better as my flats hoover did not work and there is no floor brush.
Peel Park Quarter is absolute value for money! I have my own bathroom, huge room with a double bed and a huge shared living area too! It’s right on campus so very close to my university and lots of amenities just round the corner from all of the shops and buses right outside to go to the centre of Manchester in 10 minutes! Train 2 minute walk away! Staff here are amazing, always so lovely I chat with them all the time they’re so friendly and kind and always there to help you out! It’s always clean, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any litter on the ground or inside the building! Internet/Wifi is very good never have any problems with it no lagging or waiting for anything online! Lots of social spaces to meet people, Atmosphere and Student Union are within arms reach! I’ve met some of my best friends on this campus and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone in Peel Park Quarter!

I really enjoy my uni accommodation because it’s close to campus, making it easy to get to classes and events. The communal spaces are alright for meeting new people and creating a sense of community. Plus, the comfort and convenience of having everything I need right at my doorstep makes university life so much easier and more enjoyable.
Great value for money in comparison to other accommodations. Location is on peel park campus and easy to access city centre/other campus via busses. Maintence is always quick and efficient as are the people at reception. The facilities are usually clean considering the amount of people.

overall the experience has been really good, the rooms are big enough even for a bronze room, they are regualr maintenance checks, however they give you a time frame for example they will say they will visit within a two week time period but sometimes never turn up.

it’s good i’ve seen a lot worse but if you live in delaney you have to walk to the other side and other village to get any parcels which is really annoying also at delaney there’s never anyone at reception and you only have one letterbox key for the whole flat so that’s s***

good accommodation but i am constantly ill in this building. there are so many shelves and they catch an insane amount of dust and i have found myself extremely allergic. i moved in in september and i have been constantly ill since - ive probably around 2 weeks of peace combined since living here.

I have been staying at my student accommodation for 6 months now and I find the atmosphere very polite and commutable. I am a disabled student and the disabled room is nice and spaces. Plenty of room to use my wheel chair when I need to.

The staff at the reception desk are lovely and super helpful, they are always very warm and friendly. However, the management isn’t great. Communication with the students is horrible and often miss protocol to avoid dealing with the issues.

Internet is can be good but never what is advertised, alot of the time unusable. Been told its a accommodation wide issue and it will be fixed. This has been going on since September 2023

I have been in the accommodation for 2 years now and I couldn’t fault anything. The day staff are really welcoming and the night staff are amazing with the residents welfare and keeping us safe.

I pay 151 pounds per week to live here, its nice with lots of storage, well kept rooms and plenty of space, I have a bronze room. The kitchen is massive too as I share a flat with 9 other people. The student union bar is across the path and all my lessons are less than a 10 min walk away. The property management is good, the receptionists are nice. The mainteneace guys come fast if you need anything. I live in lowry 2 in a room facing the bins/outside bench area and people always smoke there, right outside my window, I'm p sure including the maintenence guys so my room always smells of weed/smoke which isnt very nice for me. Additionally when I first moved in maintenence always needed doing e.g no hot water, blocked drains all the time, radiator not working...etc. my drain still blocks all the time. The WiFi is mostly fast and reliable but there's been a few times where its randomly gone, one of my flatmates once went 2 weeks with no WiFi in their room. 4/5 stars overall

Staff are unthoughtful, never at reception when you need them. Had multiple problems with our kitchen and have reported serval times however still nothing has been done. Had an incident where someone in my flat got assaulted in our own flat by someone outside of Campus Living Villages but got told not to phone the police as it would “affect the student finance”. Overall would not recommend, unsafe, unhygienic and unhelpful.

The accommodation itself is alot better than to be expected of university accommodation, rooms are well light and a good size. Whole area is very modern. Area is very loud, including the gate which would slam very loudly until fixed one week before the end of term. Key cards would often malfunction meaning people would be locked out of buildings and flats. In the first month the lock to our flat door ran out of battery, which you wouldn't expect at the start of a new term. It then took multiple days for someone to come out to fix the door lock, this meant we had to ensure someone was in the flat at all times to let others in. Some lights in kitchen faulty and wouldn't turn on. Lights in kitchen and corridor motion sensors not activating for me unless I jumped (I'm 5"2 for context). Oven didn't work when we arrived, issue brought up within first few weeks, oven not replaced until January. Constantly having staff members entering rooms for "checks".

I first moved in, place was full of dust, it was dirty, dirty microwave, dirty kettle, backsplash had moldy food. One of the ovens in my flat was not useable it was that dirty, reception notified, not action taken. Instead during flat inspection we were told if we did not carry out the cleaning it would affect our deposit even though it was like this upon move in? It is also riddled with bedbugs, I have been left with scars from bites reported in October 2022 and this was not resolved until February 2023, as upon reception staff checking my room, apparantly nothing was there, until pest control visited, even after 2 other rooms before I first noticed bites were already being treated. Over £100 laundry bill, still awaiting a refund from February 2023. I had to beg for a new mattress. Its a great location to uni and everything you need, but it is not good value for money, and alot of problems witb many flats.

It has been worth getting the room I stayed in, it's central to the uni campus, has multiple shops nearby, and it's only 20 minutes on a bus from Manchester centre. The room is a little rough around the edges, but all in all, it's a nice place to stay. Just watch out for the spiders in Summer 😬

PPQ is good on the surface, it has been a nice and safe place to live overall. Security is a bit mad, as keycard regularly stop working, and maintenance always lock your room with your key inside. Getting charged for damage that was here before us has left a level of distrust. The lift is regularly broken, reception is barren. And post takes days from being delivered to being put in the postbox. The bedroom itself is nice with lots of storage, and the ensuite bathroom works as intended.

Overall peel park is a great place to live with the student union just around the corner and Manchester City centre just a bus ride away. The rooms are alright, and have enough space for anything you might need. Unfortunately the property management is lacking however, whilst a few members of the staff are lovely. The rest are utterly incompetent at handling situations in a reasonable manner, with one even entering our flat unannounced. It’s a decent place to live but the management and staff are shockingly poor at communication skills and incident handling.

Nice flats which are clean on arrival and good value for money. They have everything you need and a good amount of storage. Maintenance team could respond to issues faster but this might just be my personal experience. If you’re coming to Salford university this is the best accommodation in the area you will find

PPQ is in a nice location next to the universities main campus with cosy rooms with lots of storage. However, staff do not deal appropriately with bullying except moving the student being bullied as if it's their own fault. They do not get back to their emails often so if you need to speak to them or maintenance to be done on the flat you will only get an answer if you go to reception.

I liked living at Peel Park Quarter alot, however we have had endless problems, from the freezer causing a flood to maintenance just not being done when they were said they were going to, however the ensuite bathroom, although very small, is extremely ideal and i still would recommend Peel Park Quarter as it's reserved for first years and is a nice place overall

Good accommodation for first years. The actual value for money and what you get is good however there could be a better job at the start of the years to make sure all equipment in communal areas like fridges and ovens are working and spaces have been cleaned properly as there are stains over the sofa

I had loads of issues with the flat next to me making noise at ungodly hours when I had work and lectures in the morning and security often didn't even go to check and if they did the noise would stop for 5 minutes when rang and when I contacted management there was no resolution so this caused an ongoing issue for the entire academic year There was also maintenance works on the exterior of the building I was in for almost the whole academic year, mon-sat 9-5 Internet was hit and miss Not a good social experience, everyone tends to hide in their rooms although the company do offer some fun free experiences such as pancakes for pancake day but not many people go so it's hard to meet new people Washers obviously need a clean, I use the same products at home and my washing at PPQ came out smelling like a 12 year old boys dirty rag

Nice place. Facilities + rooms are nice. Staff can often be unhelpful and rude - you’re often told to return tomorrow if you have an issue that they don’t want to deal with ( I wanted a printed Inventory form because my online one didn’t work and only got one after being told to come back ‘tomorrow’ for it 3 days in a row!) When I wanted to hand in my filled in inventory form they tried to argue that they wouldn’t take it because it was after the deadline, to which I proceeded to tell them it wouldn’t have been after the deadline if they had given it to me when I had previously asked for it or if my online inventory would have worked in the first place, so they eventually agreed to take it. Was charged £25 after having my purse snatched on a night out because my room key was in it. Apparently it’s still classed as losing my room key so they still charged me even though I had lost all of my cards and money.
This place is great. A rare find. Visited a Few other halls at other unis and Salford is by far the best. Open plan living and your own shower ensuite too. Can make your room your own and beds are almost double. Met some crazy, like minded people!!!
