Primary Initial Teacher Education with QTS, BA Hons FullTime

Because primary school teachers are currently in very high demand the job prospects are high, there are dozens of schools nearby too. Speaking of which my placement is very close to my accommodation (a 20 minute walk) and I am confident I will do well. Personal tutor?? What tutor? read more

Primary Initial Teacher Education with QTS, BA Hons FullTime

Worth it, solid course with good placement and prospects. However the lecturers have big problems with communication. Students and placement mentors told completely different things. Notes about classes being moved 2hrs earlier aren't posted. Concerns sometimes not taken seriously. Either feels like talking to a wall or to a condescending boomer. read more

Primary Initial Teacher Education with QTS, BA Hons FullTime

As far as teaching quality goes, we’re taught by well experienced lecturers, some of who still teach part time and can relate what they’re teaching us to current classroom environments which is great. However, there is a lot of Guest Lecturers in place of our normal lectures, and I find them to be repetitive and disengaging to be truthful. The Placement provided through the course is fantastic, as you go on placement for 8-10 weeks each year, and by the time you have your degree, you’re already so comfortable in a classroom. With this course, it doesn’t just lead you to being a full-time classroom teacher, there are different opportunities available, and these are highlighted to you when starting the course, so that’s great. read more
