Campus has lots of buildings; a good selection of places to study from silent study spaces to cafes. The SU is great. It has loads of shops and cafes / places to buy food and drink. It has has its own club and club night. They hold loads of events there which is great and i know all students love it. Eduroam wifi is pretty good. It's never failed me while at uni. read more

Living in Steelworks has been a great experience for me, mainly because of its location, my room, the common areas, and the gym. The regular events organised for residents are also a big plus—they make the place even more enjoyable, and many people from other accommodations who visit end up really liking it too. Having seen other accommodations myself, I can confidently say I would strongly recommend Steelworks. One of the things that stands out the most is the quality of the water-related facilities—like the bathroom and kitchen—which I think are much better than in other places. read more

EDU roam are almost up all the time, but celluar network would be unreachable in many indoor place. Supportive professors in general, it require an annoying check-in process which make you install iSheffield, and it would require GPS and bluetooth service in-order for you to successfully check in. The campus is kinda big , and it is very frustrating when you get to the WAVE as even the main road, is not that broad, often jamming at peak hours. laptop lending is only limited for the use IN the wave so if you need to get to another building for a lecture with the lended laptop it would break the rule....... The catering near the wave would be a problem so it would be the best if you get ur lunch when you have a row of lectures from 9am to 5pm read more

Budget cuts are horrendous. Good courses have been cut. Resources are lopsided towards engineering, while there is even an adequate job market for engineers in the city. The Uni does not care about the cost of living crisis - they couldn't even bother to risk assessing microwaves and kettles for students. The catering tastes like crap and costs 4 times more than Greggs. read more
