The amount of hours given gives great value for money. Lecturers are excellent, and our personal tutor time allows us to ask about topics we didn't understand, as well as going over our weekly tutorial work. Course allows for some optional modules too. read more
Chemistry, BSc Hons FullTime
They give you the compulsory books for free when you start your degree so there's no need to buy them. Most lecturers put all there content online and have extra work sheets and extra help for students to access. If you want to go see a lecturer for extra help then they're more than happy to see you. There all there to help you out and they all know their stuff as theyve worked in the field they are teaching. For first years, tutorials run once a week, you have one personal tutor and some tutorial questions to do. In 2nd year, you have 3 tutorials over 2 weeks. You also have a tutor for each area of chemistry and they all work and research in that area so they all know what they're doing. Course content is pretty good. It spans over all 3 areas and you learn all the essentials as well as some optional courses in 1st year. In 2nd year, there is no flexibility as all the content is important. As far as I know, job prospects are pretty good here. read more
