Being international, the time lines don't match-up with school back home. As well there are no information sessions spoken about at Leicester concerned career opportunities at Leicester. Students must network and find out about dates and deadlines themselves. Which can be daunting. read more

Value for money gets a 3 because it’s quite expensive for international students. The teaching quality has been pretty good overall, but I’ll admit it was tough to follow some of the foreign professors. Dr. Reayat seems like a great guy, but it's hard to understand him, and the same goes for Dr. Maribel (who I’m sure is also a great person). Their thick accents make it difficult to follow, and it can come off as a bit unprofessional since it’s hard to catch what they’re saying. I rated the personal tutor lower because we have to book appointments instead of having open hours to just drop by. Course content has been solid—no complaints there. As for job prospects, I’m not too sure yet, so I gave it 4 stars. Law firms seem to be offering unpaid "work experience" instead of paying even minimum wage, which feels like a bit of a scam. Overall, things have been good so far—thanks! read more

The course costs a lot and it costs more when you're an international student which is frustrating because International students already pay a lot to come this far specifically why do international students have to pay so much more than UK citizen students? I mean we're studying the same amount of content at the same time with the same opportunities and clubs and societies that come our and their way. Nothing is different or specially provided for international students. So why do they have to pay less and us extra? read more

The Law course at the University of Leicester needs no introduction- it’s well-renowned across the UK and the world, and it is undoubtedly one of the best around. Lecturers are truly efficient! You’re going to taught lectures from the best academic teachers, who have successfully graduated from Oxbridge universities. I have to admit the course is tough, you have to work hard, but if you want to really succeed in your career and attend one of the best law courses it is necessary. In order to make you succeed in your course, the University gives you a personal tutor, who you can contact whenever you want to and arrange a one-hour meeting. Job prospects are outstanding, hands down amongst the best job prospects in the UK and in the world- you have optional careers-and-employability meetings and conferences every week. Next week the Judge of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales, Sir Nicholas Nigel Green (Lord Justice Green) holds a meeting at the University, he’s graduated from the uni read more

The teaching quality is quite inconsistent so I've had some amazing lecturers and some not so great ones. It also varies in terms of how much they are willing to help you out, so some are really helpful and some are more standoffish. We've covered the course content required for a QLD and actually the optional modules are quite varied and interesting. My personal tutor for the first two years was not great, but after a shakeup of that system, I have a much better one now. Lastly, the Law school boasts about job prospects for its students but fails to show actual representation of leicester students at top firms. Another issue is the push for students to go into the law field, and little support (though it has improved slightly) for those who want to pursue other avenues. read more
