The lecturers are caring and helpful, and the lectures are interesting and cover a wide breadth of issues. I feel as if I've learned a lot about the dynamics of the world, with a lot of in class theoretical concepts being applicable to other regions. My main concern with this course is that it doesn't qualify you for a specific field, so it's difficult to figure out what your next steps should be as a graduate, and many go on to do something different. I would overall still recommend this course to anyone who genuinely takes an interest. read more

The level of education everybody on my course received is so lacking, there is no career capabilities from this level of proficiency. I have years of prior experience in the languages I have chosen and I am struggling, let alone some students that graduated with mitigating circumstances and they have almost no abilities in the language. The course was so focused on blasting through module materials as quickly as possible, sometimes I was expected to learn 120 words a week. Then many times, aspects of language touched on where never used again, Reinforcing no new knowledge and forgetting 80% - 90% of everything taught. During third year, almost zero listening comprehension was exercised in class, however end-of-year exams required listening comprehension abilities. Tutors were nice and willing to help when possible, however due to the lack of employed lecturers, they often didn't have time to offer the additional support many students needed. read more

job prospects are plentiful, almost guaranteed to get a teaching job in korea after getting degree, however i could learn the entire course outside of class with ease and pass with a first, the whole teaching aspect on this course is entirely useless. read more
