Fashion Marketing, BSc Hons FullTime

There aren't a huge amount of contact hours for this course, ranging from 10-15 hours or so a week so you will find you have a lot of free time, but this can be useful because the course has a lot of coursework based modules. There is a great variety of content, each week has a mixture of lectures, seminars and practical workshops which are really interesting, for example some workshops may be on the specialist CAD computers learning how to use photoshop and Illustrator and others may be in the dyehouse doing more technical and scientific experiments. One great thing about the course is you can change to any of the other fashion courses after the first year if you decide so don't worry if you aren't 100% sure on which you want to do. The option for a placement year in 3rd year is a great opportunity to get experience and often leads on to job offers for when you graduate which is super useful. As a BSc programme there is some technical/scientific aspects but nothing too difficult. read more

As the only Russell Group uni offering a BSc in this course its very popular and of great quality. The course content is varied and exciting, with units from all 4 fashion disciplines in first year to give a wider understanding in general, increasing employability skills. There is access to great technology - with some coursework completed in CAD workshops (photoshop and Illustrator) as well as working with the weaving and knitting machines which provides hands on teaching. The lectures are interesting and the timetable has a nice variety of workshops, lectures, seminars and meetings with personal tutors. read more
