Adult Nursing, BNurs Hons FullTime

Studying Adult Nursing in the University of Manchester has opened many doors for me. The course is carried out in a structured block system, where the academic year is divided into placement and theory blocks. There also a very generous amount of annual leave/ holiday period considering the full time nature of the course. The lecturers are highly skilled and motivated and most of all, accessible and very approachable. The course is academically demanding but there is so much support available and I truly believe anyone who is passionate about Nursing should definitely apply to this amazing degree. read more

Midwifery, BMid Hons FullTime

Midwifery is tricky because most students are passionate enough to endure some of the crappy stuff! We pay the same tuition but 50% of the course is practical so you’re basically paying to work (even though it’s great work and really fun to learn) the annual leave is quite rubbish so I would advise living with at least one midwife in 2nd year as otherwise there’s time where you’ll be living alone cause everyone’s gone home but you still have uni! The content is all really interesting, some of it can seem hard but you need the basic scientific knowledge (I recommend science/biology a level). All the lecturers are midwives and they’re all so nice!!! You’re likely to be living with nurses and midwives in your halls for the first year which is actually really nice. The course has 100% employment guarantee after qualifying and you can pick any trust to work at once you’re qualified. read more
